I've recently passed. Will driving automatic make me a worse driver? I passed on a manual.

I've driven an automatic before and I personally find it weirdly too easy. I'm scared if I drive automatics I won't concentrate enough, because on a manual I feel like I have to plan ahead a lot more because I have to keep shifting gears so my concentration is a lot more than if I'm driving an automatic. Automatic kind of feels like I'm playing a videogame. I haven't driven automatics a lot though (I had insurance for a few weeks on one) so I'm curious what other people's experiences have been?

Why can't images be posted in the comment sections here?

There have been multiple times where I can easily point out how the neckline needs to be trimmed. But I can't comment a picture in the comment section to show OP how it should be lined up, which is where a lot of people struggle. Seems a bit pointless that images can't be posted in the comments on this sub.

[Spoilers] Subtle Ragnar inspired tattoo ideas?

I want to get a tattoo, something to do with Ragnar since growing up this show meant a lot to me. I don't want Travis' face tattooed on me but I want something with subtle symbolism to Ragnar. Any ideas?

Bought the Fibit Air 1 week ago, the form factor is crazy good.

Its incredibly light and small. I used to use a Whoop and the difference is night and day. The tracking I'd say is broadly on par, Whoop offers a lot more insights and their software and app is miles above the rest including the Fitbit but overall the wear experience and price of the Fitbit Air is unmatched. Makes it really hard to turn down

The Fitbit Air isn't for the athlete but for the casual user, and for a screenless wearable meant to be worn 24/7 the form factor is a really big thing that it does very well. Much more comfortable to wear than the Whoop and I think I'll be keeping it.

Bevel alternatives for android?

My biggest gripe with most fitness trackers is the software. Most apps are terrible, Whoop is the best one but does not justify the ridiculous cost. So I'm looking to get either the Cirqa or Fitbit Air and an alternative app, but Bevel doesnt seem available on Android. Are there any decent alternatives?

What is the overall consensus now that everyone has come out with a screenless fitness tracker?

As I understand it Whoop is the best overall in terms of quality but price puts it out of the equation when doing a cost benefit analysis, considering its marginally better than the rest.

From Fitbit Air/Garmin Cirqa/Amazfit Helio which is the best option? Feels like it leans slightly to Fitbit considering how much lighter it is than the rest. Garmin Cirqa probably better for more "serious" athletic people who care less about software but also if you're more serious you'd probably not go for a Cirqa anyway and get a Fenix or Forerunner or something else. Also it is fairly bulky for a screenless wearable.

Anyone else stared at SMP pics for too long and have lost all sense of what looks realistic and what doesn't?

I've spent so much time online researching SMP and different artists, I've narrowed it down to 2 but cant decide which one to go to and if I want to do it in the first place.

But now when looking at images I feel like I've lost all sense of what looks real and what doesn't! I've spent way too much time researching this 😭

First car price for an auto?

Is it normal to have to fork out up to £8k on my first auto car? I was hoping it would be cheap but to get an auto with sub 70k mileage it seems like the going rate is £6k to £8k. Seems a bit high to be honest

Any tips to stop spiralling after not losing weight?

Feels like I've done some complete 180 on my psychology. I've been cutting weight for a while (I have cut 8kg in 4 months). But because of illness I haven't been losing weight for a month.

Now I'm back on it, but in my first week of strict control I stuck to my diet and didnt lose any weight.

Now I'm at the end of the second week and I've just spiralled. Had 3 cheat meals this week and feel like shit about it. My number on the scale has gone up by half a kilo and it really sent me down the hole.

Any help in not spiralling after frustrating weeks?

Do P plates help? Or is it better to not have one on.

In theory P plates should make drivers a lot kinder/be more cautious around you. But I feel like in reality people will just take advantage when they see P plates and some people are even more rude instead. Also considering the number of bad drivers on the road who clearly passed a while back anyway, do you think P plates have a net positive impact or net negative?

Is it normal to feel nervous even after passing?

I passed recently. In my lessons I always had a nervous feeling before the lesson. Once I was sat in the car and driving I felt very calm and relaxed, but up until my lesson until I drive off I always felt a bit anxious with butterflies in the stomach.

Now I've passed, I'm looking at getting a car but even before going on test drives I feel nervous. I don't know why but is that normal? Does it eventually go away?

First time breaking in a pair. Is it normal to feel off balance when walking in them?

So I've recently bought my first Birkenstocks, a pair of Bostons with the original footbed. The middle part of the slipper has a fat ridge that goes up and down, which is the part I assume gets broken in. But every time I walk in them I've noticed I feel like I end up leaning slightly forward to keep balance? Maybe its a thing because I'm flat footed but is that a normal experience when wearing them new?

And if it is, how long until that goes away?

Other than calories, protein and sleep does anything else really matter in terms of food?

Seems like every social media influencer parrots a million different things to keep track of. Carbs, fats, fibre, amino acids seems like it becomes way too excessive if you're not training for a body building competition. As long as our bodies are working and shitting is all this extra stuff is over the top excessive social media stuff for marginal gains?

Any new drivers buy a Japanese import car as a first car?

They seem like they're on the whole 2/3 of the price of a normal car. Its a bit ridiculous but to get a ~50k mileage auto Yaris its costs around 10k+, but can get for 7k a Japanese import with slightly lower mileage and even get newer models with carplay etc.

Wondering if anyone has done this and found any drawbacks?

It feels ridiculous to drop £10k on a used auto but feels like if I want to get one from a reputable dealer that's how much it costs :/

Anyone else find Sidemen cooking videos just a bit meh?

Personally there are very few Sidemen cooking videos which I enjoy. They obviously mostly don't really know what they're doing which I guess is supposed to be the funny part but they either follow the instructions and mess up or give up half way. Feels like there's less scope for them to show their personalities in these types of videos compared to other types.

Ignore the context of the Reel - Walts head is the effect you want with SMP. So slightly shiny scalps aren't the death of SMP.
