Any new drivers buy a Japanese import car as a first car?

They seem like they're on the whole 2/3 of the price of a normal car. Its a bit ridiculous but to get a ~50k mileage auto Yaris its costs around 10k+, but can get for 7k a Japanese import with slightly lower mileage and even get newer models with carplay etc.

Wondering if anyone has done this and found any drawbacks?

It feels ridiculous to drop £10k on a used auto but feels like if I want to get one from a reputable dealer that's how much it costs :/

Anyone else find Sidemen cooking videos just a bit meh?

Personally there are very few Sidemen cooking videos which I enjoy. They obviously mostly don't really know what they're doing which I guess is supposed to be the funny part but they either follow the instructions and mess up or give up half way. Feels like there's less scope for them to show their personalities in these types of videos compared to other types.

Ignore the context of the Reel - Walts head is the effect you want with SMP. So slightly shiny scalps aren't the death of SMP.

Are there recommended tried and tested brands for Portable Air Conditioning?

Seems like there are a mix of loads of random brands that make Portable AC units. Outside of DeLonghi which charge an arm and a leg for a unit, are there any good tried and tested brands for these units? The ones online I've seen all have 3 stars and mixed reviews.

I know its already too late for this heat but for the next I want to prepare for the next any further.

SMPs greatest strength is that it will never be the most popular option

Most people generally opt for hair transplants. Personally I look at SMP because I have scalp skin issues so a HT just wouldnt work for the amount of irritation and time you have to leave it to recover/shed.

If you go to a good SMP practioner and get solid work done, no one will notice unless they're well versed on SMP because it's greatest strength is that its not and will never be the most popular option as long as hair transplants exist.

Is there actually much difference in SFB vs original once broken in or is it purists being purists for the sake of it

I have found a good offer on some Bostons and ordered it, but realised they're SFB after ordering. I've read some mixed reviews online, some saying after they're broken in there's no difference and others saying SFB never break in like normal do.

So I want to know have I made a mistake in ordering SFB or will it be fine and people are over exaggerating?

Stopped watching the video 15 minutes in

I can tell none of Blue team give a fuck and Red will win. Whats the point in a race to x video if one team doesn't care. It was funny as a joke for the first 5 minutes but it seems like this will just go on for the rest of the video and Red will just clear Blue team. Meh a Sidemen Sunday skipped

First car, where to buy from?

I recently passed and am looking at getting my first car. Autotrader seems a bit risky, is it worth getting from there or should I look at specific dealerships? And if so what dealerships should I look at?

How are the Prescott Shirt jacket cuffs? Does the button do enough?

Essentially I have a problem where my arms are slightly shorter then someone of my height would have. So most jackets for me have sleeves which are too long. I usually get jackets with either elastic cuffed sleeves or button sleeves that work.

I know the Prescott Shirt jacket has a button sleeve that looks like it prevents the sleeves from falling over the hands. But does it work well? Its hard to tell from images online

Sizing help: Note my foot is touching the end of the shoe in both pics

What size do I do? I tried these instore and 40 felt the least likely to slip off. But it was cramped at the front and the top felt quite tight in suede.

Whereas 41 felt like it was falling off a bit where when I walked the bottom "slapped" up against my heel. Hence why my foot is edged in there. 41 seems like the size that makes more sense and it didnt feel tight at the top from the suede but it just felt a bit loose and could come off.

Do also note that both of these shoes were broken in by some random person. This was in the Birkenstock store in London, UK

Should I be cutting the see-through bit in the blue circle (coming from above the chin) or am I overanalysing?

Not the entire chin just the see through bit coming from slightly above the chin itself

Philips Multigroom 0.5mm to 20mm for the beard

Might be a dumb question but online its 0.5mm to 20mm. Where is the 0.5mm? Is that just the naked blade?

Also has anyone used this for beard trimming, and does anyone have opinions on it? I can see the 5000 and 7000 variants online

Bought the Colamy Atlas, its been 4 months now and I wish I returned it when I could

This chair for some reason kills my thighs and my knee. I have to keep extending my knee so that the circulation isnt cut off and lifting my left leg for the same reason.

I've tried the solutions to fixing this issue I've seen online (correcting space between knee and seat, adjusting lumbar support, dropping chair height to its lowest and even buying a footrest). But its the seat that I think is killing my blood circulation and for me to spend £250 on a chair and another £15 on top for footrest, to have to spend more for a seat cushion for a well rated and highly recommended chair by all the reviewers online is insane.

I really regret buying this and I'd advise anyone who saw all the good reviews to think twice before getting it. Its funny even the 8 year old random brand chair that I had before caused me less issues than this one which I've spent £250 on...

Anyone bought any good suede clogs in the UK similar to Birkenstock Bostons but within a decent price range - which brands do you recommend?

Birkenstocks would be great but spending at least £90 is hard to justify for me for clogs. I've seen many other brands do similar cheaper versions of it: Pull&Bear, Berksha, Only&Sons, Jack & Jones, M&S. I'm trying to figure out which ones are actually comfortable to wear but its hard where there are a million options and I can't go into store to try them all, since most stores don't have it there in person but just online.

Has anyone here tried any of the alternative brands that do it and have any recommendations?

Birkenstock Bostons UK sizing

I am a male, size 8 usually in the UK. Some shoes 7.5, some 8.5. Should I be getting EU41? Apparently they convert to UK Size 7 but Birkenstocks run larger and their UK sizing is off? Some people say the size 7s fit like a size 8 but unsure.

Can anyone confirm?

Good alternative brands for Birkenstock Boston clogs?

I've been keen on these types of slides for a while but have seen a lot of people complain about Birkenstock quality going downhill since they were bought out by a private equity firm. Anyone have any suggestions for alternative high quality brands?

I'm based in the UK so ideally something that sells or ships here.

Any ideas for someone constantly failing but someone who keeps trying that is not Sisyphus?

I'm someone who has failed at a lot of things in life, was depressed for quite a few years but in the last 3 years has gotten his life back. I've gone from someone who was incredibly lazy and wouldnt get out of bed to someone who forces himself to go running even when its raining.

I want to symbolise that in a tattoo to remind myself of who I am now, a lot of the ideas around this concept float around Sisyphus. I was hoping there are ideas that arent just him - anyone have any?
