How long do I need to wash my body?

So in 2020 we all learned we need to spend 20 seconds washing our hands to effectively wash off the bacteria. Does that mean I need to wash each part of my body for 20 seconds when I shower or I'm not effectively cleaning myself?

NSFW advice

Please do not respond with unsupportive comments about how can I possibly be attracted to someone who isn't CC or whatever. I have spent 6 years CC and 6 years contemplating whether it was worth the romantic/sexual loneliness and I've decided I need to find an in between because the effects on my mental health are too severe. If that upsets you, you can journal about it. Shaming me for it is not going to do anything besides hurt someone that is part of your community.

I am dating/having sex again and surprise surprise none of the apps have CC people (yes I've tried the CC apps but I live in a country/city with like 5 people on each of them). I have met someone that I am considering having sex with and am not sure how to proceed.

I've decided I'm unwilling to kiss (and unwilling to not mask if we have sex indoors). But I don't know how to naturally transition from something like cuddling to sex without kissing. I could of course just say "I want to have sex now" (and at some point I would verbally ask for consent because active consent is important yada yada, but that's a lot different when it's obviously headed that direction as opposed to when you have no idea if that's even on this person's mind cuz you guys are just watching TV on the couch). But that violates a social norm and knowing that I'm already violating two (not kissing and masking), I'm worried about violating anymore. Does anyone have experience making this transition without kissing and without being extremely blunt and have advice on what worked or what didn't work?

ISO cheap/free haircut

I am unwaged and would like a haircut. Are there any student hair salons or places/events for low/no income people where I could get a cheap/free haircut?

Feel free to DM me if you're a student and would like to practice on me. I just want a trim to even out my hair. I am a year into growing it out and it's kind of wonky. It's shoulder-length and 1C texture.

Botox for jaw pain headaches

So I have jaw pain from clenching in my sleep and that hurts and all but the real problem is the headaches it causes. Despite having this for almost a decade, for the first time a dentist mentioned that Botox can help with this?!

Anyways, does anyone have experience getting this procedure on US Medicaid? What was the process?

Also does anyone have horror stories and want to talk me out of this?

I'm tired of white people complaining about how long POC take showers

You heard me.

Now before 10 white people comment "Not me! I have thick, curly hair!" okay cool then this doesn't apply to you. Generalizations don't apply to everyone. That's how generalizations work.

I'm tired of white people assuming everyone's hair absorbs water as quickly as their fine, thin hair does. Coarser, kinkier, and/or thicker hair (ie POC's) doesn't absorb water the same way. It takes 5 minutes MINIMUM (ie if I have a removable head that allows me to spray directly onto my hair) for my hair to get wet enough that shampoo will stay lathered it in. I'm tired of seeing white people be like "I take 5 minute showers wtf are ya'll doing for 15 minutes" I'm waiting for my hair to absorb water that's what I'm doing. People have different kinds of hair. You are not the default body.

Edit: I bounce from hostel to hostel so I am often around strangers while I shower and they like to give unsolicited opinions (even though there are plenty of showers and hot water so I am not affecting their showers) and have had friends say this when I'm meeting up with them and tell them in gonna be there in X minutes because I need to shower, but mostly I see this on Reddit.

Can you/how do you clean your K/N/F 95s?

Back in the old days I baked them. Then I learned that dirt decreased their efficacy so I started washing them. Since then, I've heard a mix of which you should do or if you should do them at all. Anyone have studies on hand about if you can clean them, how, and how many times until you need to replace them? I work on an orchard so they get dirty at least every week, usually much more frequently, and I can't afford to replace them that often.

Oh the irony

Today I went to the hospital and there was a big sign at the front desk that said something like "measles is in this country and it's very contagious and deadly and airborne" and not a single of the 3 nurses behind the desk (or any provider who saw me that day) was wearing a mask. Like girl (gn)...what?

Alternatives to "who's your daddy?"

The only alternative for "daddy" I've seen so far that I like is "sir," however that doesn't work well for the phrase "who's your daddy?" Any suggestions to alter that phrase so sir works or nicknames are eliminated entirely but it still has the same effect?

Please read the question before answering it. I am not asking for synonyms for daddy I am looking for alternatives to "who's your daddy?"

What is romantic attraction?

I always thought romantic attraction was when sexual and platonic attraction intersect but I was told that was incorrect so now I'm confused.

Can someone point me to resources that explain the distinction between the three?

Every time I try to change my avatar to a photo, I get this message. I've tried uploading different photos in case the actual photo was the issue, but I still get the same message. What gives?

PSA: read/listen to The Body Is Not An Apology

Instead of continually commenting this on people's posts, I thought I'd just make a PSA.

Everyone, but especially fat people, should read/listen to the book, The Body Is Not An Apology. Although a little less relevant to those with a disability (and therefore a much more complicated relationship to their body), it improved my relationship with my body more than all of my years of therapy combined (although my therapist did recommend it so that's not quite true).

It's a short book, but I am not a reader, so it took me a year to get through, but I'm so grateful I stuck with it. Please please please read/listen to it, even if it takes the rest of your life to finish.

Pain worse from cannibas

Cannibas makes my pain worse, so much so that I had to quit. Whenever I tell people that, they look at me like they don't believe me because cannibas is supposed to decrease pain, so I was wondering if others had this experience. Bonus points if you know why this happens?

Edit: It is disappointing to have some of you tell me I need to try this and that like I asked for advice and haven't exhausted every possible solution already. I expect this behavior from people without chronic pain, but I'm really baffled to see unsolicited and presumptive advice coming from the community.

Term for anti-trans conspiracy theory

For context, I want to find this word to counter it, not support it.

There is an anti-trans conspiracy theory that trans people transition because they're attracted to the gender that they're transitioning to. What is the word used to describe this made up phenomenon?
