Context: I'm Tamil. My flatmate is Kannadiga. Her boyfriend is Tamil.

First of all, they're genuinely a really happy couple. He treats her really well, he's sweet, respectful, and from whatever I've seen, a genuinely decent guy.

Now, he also has this older girl best friend (1–2 years older than him), who's also Tamil. From everything I've seen, he treats her like an akka. I've told my flatmate so many times not to overthink it because it'll only ruin her own peace.

Apparently, something happened today, and she got SO mad at him that she put "Vanthen Vanthen" from Panchathanthiram on her story as an indirect. 😭😭 I saw it and had to physically stop myself from laughing.
