I really don’t like having black bars on top and bottom of screen

The only movies I found that aren’t letterboxed are Avatar, pacific rim, daddy’s home, avengers 1 are full screen without any black bars

For those that download movies are all your files letterboxed with black bars on top and bottom

My tv has a aspect ratio of 16:9
Is there a way to find the full screen version of movies in 16:9 ratio?

I know it came out a while ago but I was on holiday
When I returned I watched in imax

wanted to watch second time in 4dx but can’t find any screenings perhaps it’s because of Spiderman

Are there any location still showing it? my local is London Wembley
Or would it come back in September 4dx annual rewind?

Most people have given positive reviews of the 4dx experience

I live in north west London I want to know which cinema has largest screen near me non imax

My local Vue Harrow is where I’ve been going until recently I found out that there are other branches not too far away but much larger screens like Finchley Road screen 8

Odeon luxe isense Acton is also an nearby but I don’t know if it’s bigger than Vue Finchley Road

is there a solution to watching Netflix in another country like when you go one holiday for a few days

Netflix works fine on plane until land in a different country then it stops working says it “seems your using a vpn”

but it’s just that I’m in a different country, is there a solution to continue watching Netflix in another country like when you go one holiday for a few days

I have avengers 1 and daddy’s home and avatar downloaded which appear full screen not cropped but every other movie I’ve tried several files they all are letterboxed

Anyway I can distinguish which isn’t letterboxed?

Edit: you cannot tell the ratio before downloading
& nearly all movies are letterboxed unfortunately thats the blue ray release

I recently got MSI MAG 321CUPDF 4K VA curved gaming monitor
but due to my desk space and as I sit pretty close to monitor I want to downsize to 27inch

I use it with ps5 for story games that’s why I chose 4K

The only 27inch curved monitors there are, are QHD 2560x1440
at the distance I sit (about 90cm away from monitor) would I notice a big downgrade from 4k?

The things I prioritise in a monitor are:
Sharp, detailed graphics above everything else.
Good resolution for the clear textures like in game trees, bushes and distant scenery.
Strong image clarity with minimal blur or pixelation.
Good native contrast
HDR is not a deciding factor. If HDR makes games look darker, I’d rather leave it off.

Any suggestion for a 27inch curved monitor?

I currently have LG 55UA73006LA was considering an upgrade I went in store to compare oled and qned but I didn’t find any big difference

My living room tv is placed with windows on its right
so there is usually my reflection visible on tv and the room is quite bright but there’s not direct sunlight rays shining on the tv

Should I get an oled or due to my room not being dark shall I get the LG 65QNED92A Miniled

I’m looking to upgrade from my current LG 55UA73006LA to a 65-inch TV. My viewing distance is around 2.3–2.6m, and my living room is fairly bright with a lot of natural sunlight during the day, so I’ve pretty much ruled out OLED and am focusing on Mini-LED. I mainly watch movies and play story mode games

I’ve seen posts and comments on this subreddit claiming that certain models are actually edge-lit or use much weaker local dimming, despite the MiniLED branding.

Are there any models here that are misleading and should be avoided?

Am I better off looking at Samsung, Sony, TCL Mini-LED TVs instead? The reason why I want LG is because of the magic remote cruiser and the web browser which allows me to watch anime on anime websites open and close pop up windows easily

Coming from an LG 55UA73006LA, will I actually notice a big difference for movies and games.
