Best way to improve vocabulary while reading? And a few questions.

Hello, im 19, English isn't my first language, but I could say im native now, I spoke and lived in a English speaking country for 14 years.

I was never a fan of reading, the only books I read was when I was in English class, following the teacher reading..

Most of my english came from talking, gaming, movies, etc.

When I try to read books, I notice that I read each word instead of going with the flow, I also read over sentences multiple times since I zone out or I dont understand something, which I assume is due to lack of attention span... also I dont understand many words. Since I never used or heard them on day to day speaking.

I got a ereader and im currently reading Harry Potter, im like 80 pages deep. I usually use the built in wiki in my kobo to explain a word if I dont understand it. ( usually 1 or 2 per page ). But is that all I should do? How could I improve my reading and vocabulary. Since in my view this is a huge issue, and I want to expand my speaking, and reading ability that I neglected for years. And actually learn things too from reading books.

Thank you

Is XP Pen Artist Pro 16 worth it for my first tablet? For drawing and painting.

I found a used tablet pretty much new for 250 euro, would that be worth it for starting out?

Thanks.

when should i start upgrading/building characters?

on the screen shot i listed all my teammates, all are S0 except some 4 stars.
i have EoG and Sig for Aemeath
im currently done chapter 2 act 1
and im wondering when to focus on upgrading characters.

im not sure who to upgrade first, and if i should do levels/weapons/echos/skills first.

its difficult to do Aemeath and her sig due to lack of items and does items are area locked, and its in a area i cant go yet.

in next banner i plan to pull Denia, as well as Mornye OR Hiyuki for my suisui

thank you.

Good first time ereader with these requirements

  1. Below 150

  2. Has good dictionary when holding the word, and can highlight words/save them

  3. Decent size screen not too big or too small, like a regular book I assume

  4. Screen is somewhat similar to paper, and isnt bad for eyes.

  5. Has a book store and can allow me to also import books.

Thank you

Is this worth it in 2026? Or is there a better one for same price?

Im a bit tight on budget, i found this one for 125 euro

I looked at kobo libra bw and kindle paper, but both are over 160 for me

I just want to get into reading, and use phone less, but im not a fan of physical books unless its comics :)

Plus i love the ereader features such as highlights and dictionary

What mmorpg would be good for me?

I never played any MMORPG in my life, but always wanted to, since most of the youtubers and streamers i watch are into mmorpgs

im a bit worried to do pvp type mmorpg, since im not very good at builds.. i worry that i would suck at pvp

Im wanting the game to lean towards pve more and maybe occasionally id try pvp if im up to it.

it doesnt have to be story heavy, since i prefer gameplay/grind over story.

i want it to be simple enough to get started with.

The one i have my eyes on is
WOW - i heard from many people that its hard to understand the story ( so im not sure )
BDO - grindy
Old school runescape - has become more popular over the last few years
guild wars 2 - i dont know much about this one.

is it possible to mess up a save file in this game?

im wanting to try this game and go in blind, since its my first time playing, but im wondering if i will mess up badly or maybe make a build i dont like and realise it at end game.. is this game forgiving with skill trees? and would i be able to just grind out and make the character i like late game?

also is the story worth listening? or can i js skip all the scenes?

is sony a6400 worth buying for starting out?

Budget: €500–800 total for the camera and at least one lens. I already have a computer for editing, so I dont need to budget for that right now

Country: Ireland

Condition: I'm happy to buy either new or used. A lot of people recommend buying used, but Ive noticed that prices on ebay and facebook are pretty similar to camera store prices, so Im not sure if Im looking in the wrong places. Ive also been looking at KameraStore and E-infin (not sure how trustworthy E-infin is).

Type of Camera: Mirrorless.

Intended use: Photography mainly, somtimes video

End use: Mainly as a hobby since i wont go college for it, I want to learn photography properly and take it seriously. If I get good enough some day, id love to make it a side gig.

what style: Landscapes, nature, wildlife (birds and animals), and occasionally street/town photography.

What features: Im not really sure what features id need as a starter, so id like some recommendations!

Portability: I'd like something I can comfortably carry around on walks and hikes in a small backpack or shoulder bag,

Cameras im considering: Sony a6400. Ive seen it recommended in a lot of older posts, but many of those are a few years old now, so Im wondering if its still a good choice in 2026

For lenses, I've mainly been looking at:

  • Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN
  • Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS II (kit lens)

Im torn between these two. My gut says to start with the kit lens, and learn the basics, and once i learn, i can buy some upgrades, but some videos i been watching recommended to go with a better lens and skip the kit.

Cameras i own: none

Notes: Im a teen and Ive been working for a while, putting money aside to buy my first camera. I'm looking for something that's good to learn on but will also last me for a few years as I improve.

Id really appreciate any advice on whether the a6400 is still a good buy, whether I should start with the kit lens or save for the Sigma, and if there are any other cameras or lenses in my budget that I should be considering. Thanks!

Is it hard to get a job in biopharma/biotech

I put down some courses related to this in my cao this year, but im worried I wont land a job in future, im planning to do at least Masters.

I dont really have any connections to this field, and now days all I see is, people cant find jobs unless they have family or close friends in a area they want to work in..

Any tips to bring with me going into college?
