Saskatchewan Yurt

I put my ego aside and skipped the tent for a yurt in Buffalo Pound, Sask. Being a mom is hard enough without pretending camping has to be hard too. The yurt meant I could actually relax, the kids could have an adventure, and we got to make memories together. Sometimes the best way to make camping happen is to stop worrying about doing it the “right” way and just make it work for your family.

Baked this morning for an old friend. Next time I’ll add more leaves.

Tripod Dog Life

There are days I look at Willow and wonder how anyone could have hurt her. Before I adopted her, she was found on the side of a highway, limping, still nursing puppies. She had been shot, and her leg couldn’t be saved.

Today, she’s a happy, goofy three-legged dog who runs, plays, and reminds me every day that love doesn’t erase the past, it gives you a future. Some of the most beautiful souls are the ones who have survived the unthinkable.

Veggie Garden Tattoo

This veggie garden tattoo is a little piece of my heart. Gardening has taught me patience, resilience, and the joy of watching my efforts grow into something beautiful.
