Remembering Rezwan Kohistani

My daughter was a student at Webb City Schools when this happened, and I feel that the community should continue to honor Rezwan Kohistani, and not let his untimely death be forgotten.

I can't imagine the loneliness this poor kid felt during his time here, or the pain that his parents continue to carry, wherever they are now.

Rest in Peace Rezwan

This is a simple post, but I thought it would be cool to share.

Anytime I'm living in greed, hatred and delusion, I have the power to move toward gratitude, healing, and direction.

Hey! I've posted a few things about Buddhism in Joplin, and I wanted to reach out again to find out who would be interested in meeting up for a meditation/Dharma discussion, and what evening might work the best for everyone? It's looking like Tuesday or Thursday would be the best weekdays for it, from around 6pm to 8pm, and we could also look at morning/afternoon times on Saturdays and Sundays.

Some of my monastic friends at the Dinh Quang Buddhist temple in Springfield, MO have said that they would drop in on some Joplin meditations, and share their practice's with the group as well. These people are extremely knowledgable, and it's always a pleasure to listen to them speak.

If you were unaware we had such a thing so close, the Dinh Quang temple is beautiful, and is open to the public on most Wednesdays and Sundays. If you're ever in the Springfield area, it's worth stopping by to check it out!
