Recently inherited S&W nickel pre-Model 30 in .32 S&W Long, circa 1955.

Neat trivia about the faux-stag grips:
The grips are vintage Franzite aftermarket stocks, identified by the “Sports Inc. Chicago” marking molded inside. Franzite grips were produced by Sports, Inc., a Chicago company operated by Peter von Frantzius, and were widely sold as replacement grips for Smith & Wesson, Colt, and numerous other handguns during the mid-20th century.
The company produced molded synthetic grips in faux ivory, pearl, stag, and other styles. An interesting historical connection is that von Frantzius had previously been a prominent Chicago firearms dealer during Prohibition, earning the nickname “Armorer of Gangland.” Firearms sold through his business were traced to members of Chicago’s criminal underworld, including a Thompson submachine gun associated with the 1929 St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.
Today, original Franzite grips are collectible period accessories, particularly when found on vintage revolvers from the era.

My threaded barrel came in from Allegheny Arms today. This 84FS turned out so cool! The Shiv is the perfect can for this application.

Got my seven-shooter reassembled last night after cerakote and Mag-Na-Port’ing.

Has anyone received their 81/84 threaded barrel or any updates on them? I purchased during the pre-order quite a while ago and they’re now showing out of stock. Per Josh, the barrels have been ready to go for a bit now, but were delivered without thread protectors. They were waiting for those to be received before filling the barrel orders.
