Why my father had good bond my cousin's but not with me

My father and my cousins are from the same generation, so he has been close to them since his pre-teen years. After he got a job, he used to pay many of their expenses and even paid their school fees for a few years. My mother told me that my father used to work out of town. One day, when he came home on holiday, one of my cousins asked him to buy a new school bag. My father hadn't even had his tea, but he immediately left to buy the bag for him. He never fought with them, and even today, when they make jokes about him, he just laughs them off. But when it comes to us, he becomes extremely aggressive. Forget joking—if we say anything he doesn't like, he starts abusing us and beating us. I have never seen him abuse my cousins the way he abuses us. He has even called us "MC." He also spent money on many unnecessary things for my cousins, but when it comes to us, he keeps reminding us how much he spends on us. He acts as if giving us food, basic necessities, and raising us is some kind of favor. I have never seen him treat my cousins like that. Even when my cousins mistreated us, he always stood by them. They also mistreated my mother. She told us she was forced to wake up around 3 a.m. to cook and pack their tiffins, and if they didn't like the food, they would make her cook it again while their mother never said anything. My father once even traveled out of town to get my cousin's favorite book because it wasn't available in our town. But when I said I would save money and order a book online for myself, he started abusing me and said I was wasting money on useless things. Why is he so different with his own children?
