Kolkata stands with the students of jantar mantar.

Two years ago, the Bharatiya Janata Party organized a student protest in Kolkata over the horrific RG Kar rape case. Among the crowd were many older men portraying themselves as students. One of them, standing in front of a police water cannon, repeatedly rotated his wrist toward the police, implying that they should be "wearing bangles" instead of doing their duty—a gesture commonly used to question someone's courage.
