I subscribed last week and cancelled today
As I user of ChatGPT I wanted to try Gemini and subscribed. It was good the first couple of days but now it’s so strange. I don’t need to explain because I see many similar posts. But I just cancelled by subscription today and went back to ChatGPT.
Maybe I’ll come back one day if it becomes better
Would going to the airport to test out my carry-on size be a bad idea?
I made a post yesterday saying that my suitcase is 1–2 cm too tall. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to go to the airport in my country in a few days, when there’s an Icelandair flight, and test whether my carry-on fits in the baggage sizer near check-in.
Airlines usually place the sizer where the lines start, so I thought it might be smart to test it beforehand.
At least then I’ll know already whether the carry-on is too big or if it fits, instead of dealing with stress on the day I travel.
Has anyone done this before? Is it a good idea?
How strict are IcelandAir in terms of carry-on size if it’s only a couple of cm too big?
I’m probably overthinking this but with the stories i hear regarding airlines and carry-on bags I was wondering how strict Icelandair is when the carry-bag is only a couple of cm too big?
Icelandair limits are 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm.
I just measured my carry-on suitcase and it came at 57 cm x 35 cm x 21 cm. So it’s 2 cm taller than the requirement and the deepness is 1 cm too much.
I’ve had this carry-on suitcase on many of my flights with different companies but I’ve never tried Iceland air before and therefore it will be my first time.
sunglass outlets for Rayban for a cheaper price in New York?
I will travel to New York in a few months and I need some new sunglasses. I was just wondering if there are outlet stores for sunglasses from brands like Rayban, Tommy and so on. I need a new pair and don’t know if I should buy from my own country or wait for New York. There aren’t really any outlets where I’m from,
I know there are outlets for clothes but I was wondering if there is for sunglasses.
Do the prices of check-in luggage drop when closer to the flight date or is it always the same price?
We are traveling 4 people for a week and only have handbags which gives us a total of 40 kg.
It’s usually more than enough for us but I was just wondering if Icelandair ever drops their prices for check-in bags or if it’s the same price all the time? I can see that it’s a total of 180 dollars including return flight.
10 kg carry-on to New York. Family of 4 which gives us 40 kg total. Do you guys think it’s enough or should we spend 180 dollars on a check-in baggage?
We are a family of 4 traveling to New York from Europe in the beginning of September. We are 3 men and one 15 year old boy. We will be traveling for 8 days.
We bought plane tickets that only includes 10 kg hand baggage and I was just thinking about if I should buy a checked-in baggage or if 40 kg should be enough for 3 adults and 1 child.
The weather is usually still warm in the beginning of September in New York, so we won’t be packing thick clothes but will be packing light.
We don’t expect to buy a lot of things since I was there half a year ago and bought the stuff we needed in my family. We might buy a few shirts and maybe a shoe per person.
I’m not sure if I should spend 180 dollars for a check-in baggage or if 40 kg would be more than enough for us since we usually pack light.
Is it okay to keep updating my reservation/booking to the new price every time it drops?
I’ve booked a hotel to NYC in August. Two weeks ago the price dropped with 100 dollars so I went into the Marriott website and clicked update room and selected the new price and just confirmed.
Today it decreased with another 50 dollars and I did the same.
If the price keeps on dropping like this, is it okay to keep updating or can it cause any problems?
I don’t see why it should be a problem since I got free cancellation until 3 days before arrival but I just wanted to ask just in case since it’s my first time booking directly with Marriott
