Bad A/C compressor making engine stall?

Bad A/C compressor making engine stall?

2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer LTZ - Inline 6 Cylinder.
Little over 100K miles.

My father's car.
His battery died and was replaced, which birthed two issues.
First his duel climate control zones broke, driver was cold, shotgun was hot.
I fixed this by resetting some fuses.

MAIN ISSUE: Turning on AC at idle causes the engine to drop RPM and die.
When revved up to about 1,000RPM or so, and then the AC is engaged, the system works stable. Engine stall only happens at low RPM (idle).

I can see the AC compressor turn on, spin a few times, and then turn off, the RPMs drop and usually the engine cannot recover.

Thought maybe the throttle body was the issue, not enough air into the engine to compensate for the extra load at idle. I took the airbox off and cleaned the throttle body, at the same time I unhooked the battery and waited, reattaching it so the regulator can re-learn idle.

No luck. Still dies. This is either a bad AC compressor, or a bad throttle body. I'm out of troubleshooting steps so that's why I'm here. Any help?

Visited a rare, publicly accessible, but privately owned Braun collection.

Like most I enjoy the works of early Braun and Dieter Rams. Currently on a school-sponsored trip to Germany and visited a private collection in Berlin that the owner generously makes public and zero cost to viewers.

I bought a number of reading items though. :)

[LOTW] EF 17-40 f4 L USM (Assorted)

On vacation in The Netherlands and Germany, you may have seen my New Gear post a few days back.
Bought this guy off eBay right before leaving because I really didn’t have a fast ‘standard’ zoom.
Was considering a more normal 24-70, but with the 1.3x crop of my APSH 1D Mark IV, this lens is closer to a 20-50, which I am very pleased with for travel photography.

Dutch/Germany recommendations?

On vacation in these regions, do such drinks exist here? Are there popular brands?

Where might I find such items, Albert Heijn, Aldi?

I generally enjoy the US brands Monster Ultra, C4, Alani Nu.

Mississippi Mud Ice Cream

Hi folks. My father really likes ‘Mississippi Mud’ flavor of ice cream, but I can’t find it easily anywhere. I believe it’s chocolate with fudge, toffee and or nuts.

Anyone seen something like that here in Denton?

Mississippi Mud Ice Cream?

Howdy, my father’s birthday is coming up, and he has always said “Mississippi Mud” ice cream is his favorite flavor, but I’m having trouble finding any around here.

It’s basically chocolate with fudge, toffee, and he likes his with assorted nuts.

Y’all got any recs? Preferably around mid-cities. Thank you.

Iron Lung Merch

Has anyone heard anything about the iron lung shirts that were supposed to ship a few months ago now?

This is the email I sent their support:

Hello, it has been 87 days since I placed my order.

It has been 64 days since the Iron Lung webpage said orders would ship in mid-march.

I have zero updates on the status of my order.

I am now moving out of the apartment which I listed as the delivery address and cannot accept my order there.

Epson Printer Replacement Ink Pads

My father has an Epson Workforce 610 printer, it's old but we have no reason to replace it.
Recently it boots with an error (ink pads near end-of-life). Replacing them seems pretty simple, but I can't find any ink pads online which specifically mention "workforce 610," closest I can find is for the "XP-610," which to my eyes is a different model.

Can anyone shed some light on this, are these models interchangeable?

I've never made something like this, am first and foremost a photographer, so I think that influenced the locked off shots in this reel. All-though, it was also due to the limitations of my 17 year old Canon EOS-1D Mark IV and it's very rough 1080p video with no AF.

While I do own a Canon R6 and some comparable glass, I kind of push myself into using antiquated equipment for personal projects. Paired my 1D with a film era 28-105 kit lens from 1990.
