What are the requirements are needed to be a college professor in Ontario?

Hello all! I have my BA and am wondering what additional schooling I’ll need to be a part time college professor. I’m currently on mat leave and plan to be a full time mom for the next 6ish years. In that time I’m hoping to complete all the schooling/requirements I need so that once my little one is old enough I can be a part time professor. I finished my 3 year BA with a double minor in social justice/peace studies and Gender/women’s studies. Ideally some kind of schooling online or night school would be great. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated:)

I want to do this set up for my toddler- thoughts?

Hello all, I’m interested in having a set up like this for my toddler and would love some advice. I love the thought of a traditional Montessori floor bed BUT my toddler is a complete dare devil… so I think they’ll be safer this way. We’ve also been co-sleeping/bed sharing since 4 months old so I’m hoping this way my little one will be able to have the safe space to play if they wake up before us. Thoughts? ALSO if anyone has any recommendations for playpens that would be SO helpful. I’m roughly looking at a 74” by 55” space. Thank you!

Our elopement was so much better than I could have ever dreamed of 🤍

We got married!!!! It was just our little one, our witnesses, officiant and photographer. We got married on a Tuesday, celebrating our 3 year anniversary.

Our entire wedding INCLUDING what we were wearing was $2,400.00 CAD. We went swimming after our wedding and later got Chinese food. We wouldn’t change a single thing about our day and if I could I’d relive it all over again 🤍

Considering a vasectomy, sperm banking & future fertility after multiple unplanned pregnancies

I’ve been pregnant five times in the past three years. I’ve had one abortion and two miscarriages, I have one living child, and I literally just got a faint positive pregnancy test this morning.
I may be facing another abortion with this pregnancy if I don’t miscarry, as I had a very traumatic and life-threatening birth with my living child, who is still quite young. My husband and I had always planned to have our children farther apart in age, ideally around 4–7 years, and we honestly don’t have the financial stability to care for another child right now.
I also want to clarify that we are having safe sex and are actively trying to prevent another pregnancy. Unfortunately, contraception isn't always 100% effective.
Because of everything we've been through, we're considering having my husband get a vasectomy once we're certain we're done having children for now. We know that a vasectomy reversal is also an option in the future, but we understand that a reversal isn't guaranteed to restore fertility.
We're wondering if it would make sense for him to freeze and store his sperm at a sperm bank before getting a vasectomy. That way, if we decide we're ready to have another child a few years from now, we would have the option of using the stored sperm rather than relying solely on a vasectomy reversal.
I'm also wondering if I should have my fertility checked before we make any decisions. Given that I've been pregnant five times in three years, including two miscarriages, would it be worthwhile to see a fertility specialist and have my fertility assessed now, even though we're not planning to try for another baby for several years?
Has anyone done something similar? Is sperm banking before a vasectomy something people commonly do, and has anyone successfully used their stored sperm to conceive years later? I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with experience with this.

People who eloped and didn't invite family—did you regret it?

I'm really struggling with this decision and would love to hear from people who have been in a similar situation.
My fiancé and I have a toddler together, and we're planning to elope in three weeks. The closer it gets, the more torn I feel.
From the very beginning of our relationship, we've always put the family we've built first. That's actually the biggest reason we decided to elope in the first place. It would be significantly less stressful and much less of a financial strain on us, it would allow us to have a more relaxed and flexible day with our toddler, and, if I'm being honest, we're both pretty introverted. The thought of having a 150-person wedding honestly sounds miserable to both of us. A small, intimate day has always felt much more "us."
The problem is our families couldn't be more different.
My parents are genuinely wonderful people. I'm an only child, they live with us, they're the most loving grandparents to our little one, and they've supported our family from day one in every way imaginable.
On the other hand, my relationship with my in-laws is extremely strained. They've told me I wasn't welcome in their home, continue to disrespect me and the family my fiancé and I have built together, and somehow manage to make every situation about themselves. We have very little contact with them because of this.
My fiancé wants things to be "fair," meaning if my parents get to be involved in any part of the wedding, then his parents should too. After working through it with my therapist, we came up with what felt like a compromise: we would elope privately and then invite both sets of parents to a separate location afterward for photos. The idea was that they would be involved enough to be included, but not enough to impact or potentially ruin the actual ceremony.
The thing is... we haven't invited anyone yet, and now that we're only three weeks away, I'm having second thoughts.
Part of me feels guilty if my parents miss out because of the behaviour of my in-laws. Why should they lose that experience when they've done nothing but love and support us? But another part of me is terrified that inviting my in-laws—even just for photos afterward—will somehow turn into drama and overshadow what should be one of the happiest days of our lives.
For those who eloped without family, do you regret it? If you had difficult family dynamics, how did you handle it? Did you ever feel like you were punishing the "good" family members because of the difficult ones?
I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences because I'm running out of time to make this decision, and I want to make the choice I'll still feel at peace with years from now.

My wedding dress was RUINED by the dry cleaners, I need a seamstress to fix it, my wedding is in 3 weeks!!!!!

Any recommendations would be super helpful, I’m based in Niagara Ontario. There is multiple reps in the tool and holes. The overall structure of the dress and the dress itself is in very good condition, but the tool will need to be replaced. I am incredibly stressed. This is not something I wanted to worry about. This dress has so much sentimental value to me and is a vintage Vera Wang. I don’t want to look for a new dress.

Where can I shop for a Barong in Canada?

Hey all, I’m looking for a store that sells Barongs (men’s traditional Filipino shirt). Any kind of Filipino clothing store that’s ideally is Canadian or in Canada (Ontario) would be great! Salamat Po!

ISO Ivory Overlapping Barong with a Chinese Collar

Hey everyone!
I’m looking for an ivory Barong Tagalog for my husband-to-be and would love some recommendations.

Specifically, I'm interested in a barong with:
-An overlapping/wrap-style front (instead of the standard straight button-down design)

-A Chinese/Mandarin collar

-Some tasteful embroidery (preferably colourful)

-An ivory colour

Since we're in Canada, it would need to ship internationally to Canada, or be a Canadian company.

I've come across a few designs that blend Filipino and Chinese-inspired elements. I’m open to any suggestions.

This is for our wedding this summer 🫠, so I'd really appreciate any recommendations or experiences.
Thank you! 🙏😊
