I’ve seen some people think the pyro gnosis just ends up being absorbed by the traveler, but that was before burning irminsul.

Now, the pyro gnosis is now completely gone since it was used ofc to burn irminsul and ig it burned with it

I’ve seen a decent amount of complaints at how dino is brainless and OP. And while he is probably OP he definitely has several counters to him which don’t make it as bad.

Tank wise emma feels great into him and I’ve had some success with the thing and tankpool too. Most poke and hybrid dps can give him work as well, notably mk, phoenix and elsa. As for supports if u can adam and mantis being able to easily headshot him give them great economy of their soul bond and life orbs respectively. Luna and rocket can also do honest damage to him.

Overall I like that he is somewhat introducing a brawl meta but it doesn’t feel like he is completely uncounterable like several past metas. He is also more reliant on his supports than most other tanks too.

Max ammo when ulting just stays at 40. Wonder if this was intentional or an oversight but it’s good that it doesn’t at least. Hopefully this is meant to be the case.

This isn’t new in hsr and we have seen it before (boothill releasing right before firefly, mydei not benefiting from hya near as much as cas, anaxas poor animation budget, cipher not having as great of a kit as tribbie overall) but I don’t think it has been as blatant as evanescia.

Ofc metawise evanescia and sw are very similar at various investments (tho I won’t be surprised if they release an elation sustain that benefits sw a lot more than eva).

But in terms of promotion it seems like they don’t want eva to sell at all. She has only gotten 1 trailer compared to sw999 getting a ton of promotional videos and it’s safe to say many people are regarding this trailer as one of the worst in recent hoyo history which hurts more since evanescia is meant to be an extremely important character.

Ofc it’s obvious that china japan tensions hurt this even more but atp I wish hsr adopted genshins 6.x level of marketing. Even varka who was released as a pretty mid unit (although now he’s pretty good) got a ton of marketing.

I just kinda hate the idea that hoyo scrapped Eva’s animations and trailer just to push sw999 because why tf couldn’t they just keep what evanescia had even if she wouldn’t be the main push 🥀
