My Ideal 3 Railway Engines.

I know that the 81st anniversary has passed already but I've just redone and rebooted my ideal AU and feel like sharing it.

Also, I will be doing the other Engines in my AU but they'll come later.

That being said, here's the lore:

NWR NO.2 Edward:

Full Name - Edward Allison Sawyer

A Furness Railway K2 4-4-0 Sent to the NWR on loan from the Furness Railway to help with construction in early 1915.

He brought two non faceless Furness Railway Coaches with him which after he was bought would also be bought and painted into a nice brown.

He wasn't to smart nor wise when he arrived at the railway, but after some tutelage from Neil (The S&M Railway's NO.2) he learned sense.

He used to know a W4 Class Peckett but after it fell into the still in construction viaduct he was driven with guilt and was one of the reasons he didn't come out of the shed till a sympathetic crew took him out that faithful day.

During a WW2, the railway took part in several of the UK's many efforts. One of these being assisting in operation Pied Piper taking trains of civilian's from across the UK to Sodor as the island wasn't a main point of interest for the axis powers. One night on October 1940, Edward took a train of evacuees from Barrow to Tidmouth. During hid return journey to Tidmouth from Barrow, German forces initiated an air raid on Barrow and by extension Sodor, during the trip he broke his side rod but conveniently stopped in Henry's tunnel. So his crew took it off and he managed to pull the train all the way to Tidmouth practically on one leg.

Post WW2 he was also given a rebuild at Crovan's gate, becoming one of the workshops custom designed engine.

He still maintained the shape of a K2 but he was a bit rounder and was given an extra set of rear trailing wheels making him a 4-4-2.

He was transferred to the Brendam branch and works on it to this day.

NWR NO.3 Henry:

Full Name - Henry Daniel Pierce

When the GWR built the "Great Bear" Pacific 4-6-2, the NER (Later a part of the LNER) decided to make there own attempt at a Pacific locomotive after the lackluster performance of the Great Bear.

This resulted in many prototype's for the LNER A1's.

Henry was built out of stolen scrapped plans for one of these prototypes, which used an NER S3 (Later known as an LNER B16) as the main base.

He was purchased by the NWR in 1918 to run express services under the guise of him being an S3, but due to his small firebox he was lackluster on these duties.

He was put on mixed traffic duties and while he wasn't good at it, he wasn't bad either.

After a derailment inside a tunnel causing him to be stuck there for the day in 1922, he was sent to Crovan's gate and was given a custom built firebox.

After this rebuild and some imported coal, he worked like a charm down the line.

After his accident with the flying kipper in 1934, he was sent to Crewe works and rebuilt into an LMS Black 5.

He continues to run goods trains and the kipper across the Sudrian mainline.

There's a replica of his Old Shape at the Sudrian Railway Museum at Vicarstown.

NWR NO.4 Gordon:

Full Name - Gordon Jonathan Fleetwood

The Prototype from the LNER A1's, he is an LNER A0 4-6-2.

Due to issues with his Dome and Valve Gear, another prototype was built was built.

GNR No. 1470 "Great Northern".

He was bought by the NWR early 1922 to run the express from Tidmouth to Barrow after Henry proved inefficient to.

He proved to be very successful in this job and let it get to his head overtime. Although pompous and a tad vein, he did have some respect for the other engines.

After Him, James, and Henry had never thanked Edward for all he's done for them, Gordon gave him a helping push to leave Tidmouth after he had trouble pulling the train, this happened on the same day when Edward had his famous exploit. After this, he became more humble and respectful.

He was sent to Doncaster Works in 1934 and rebuilt into a proper LNER A1.

By the turn of the new millennium, he decided to retire from the express on his own terms and passed down the duty to Rebecca and Bear.

He now runs slower stopping services across the island and pulls the occasional rail excursion to Vicarstown.

And sometimes rail tours to London.

Drop 2 Words from a phrase/quote from your fandom and see if the people in the comments can finish the rest of it.

Lets see if you can finish mine.

I'm curious. How many of you also listen to EPIC: The Musical?

If you haven't listened to it, highly suggest you do.

And if you have listened to it, you excited for the movie?

Fictional Crushes of an AroAce Guy. (15M)

For those who are wondering: AroAce is short for Aromantic Asexual. In short, I don't feel any sexual nor romantic attraction nor desire.

But that doesn't mean I can't have fictional crushes on characters.

So go ahead, judge me.

Your favorite character from your favorite fandom dies. What does the epitaph on their gravestone say?

Alternative Basis for James.

This a GNR H2/H3 later under LNER ownership referred to as K1/K2.

They were built from 1912-1921 and James arrived at the island sometime in 1915

We'll skip over the fact that it's a mogul and move onto another fact about it;

It was (correct me if I'm wrong) the first locomotive Sir Nigel Gresley designed and built.

This could give him an inflated ego and make him just a bit more vein.

But what do you think?
