I have this really old GBA flashcart that doesn't retain saves anymore, could it be fixable?

Maybe no one knows anything about this model or there isn't much to be gleaned from the pictures but I figured I'd try my luck anyway. I don't know if the battery is necessary for saving or just for RTC, if it's the former then I just won't use this cart any more.

Which are the most populated platforms for multiplayer in 1 and 2?

From what I've seen the multiplayer aspects of these games aren't very popular but it seems kind of interesting to me so which platform would probably be the best for finding the most people?

How do I max(or almost max) a single contest stat solo? (Emerald)

At the moment I just need to make a pokémon that's good for one type of contest for Luxury Ball farming but later I'll need to do it to get the scarves. Do I just go to the 4 npcs and keep making blocks with the corresponding ev reducing berry?

Does the Ezflash Omega Definitive Edition(B) require a charged battery for anything other than RTC?

I would like to be able to use it for non RTC games even if the battery has run out.

Does the EZFlash Omega Definitive Edition B have any advantages over the Everdrive GBA Pro?(besides the price)

Comparing feature lists on their websites it looks like the Everdrive is just better and pricier but I also saw someone say that the B mode of the Ezflash supposedly has better compatibility so are there any other pros of the Ezflash card over the Everdrive that I've missed?

Should I still get an Everdrive GBA Pro if I don't care about it's added features?

I've been looking at getting a flashcart to use with my old GBA SP and see this one recommended a lot. I actually don't super mind the price but feel like I shouldn't be throwing extra money at something without reason. I am not really interested in save states and such and while cheats and extra features like tilt/gyro/solar might be nice every once in a while I don't think I'd particularly miss them if I didn't have them.

Is it still worth getting the Everdrive GBA Pro over cheaper options for general build quality, load speeds, or other reasons I might not have considered?

Can Everdrive GBA PRO start the last used rom on boot unless a button is held?

I would like for the last game played to start without entering the menu unless I'm holding a button so it feels like I'm using a regular cart until I choose to open the menu.

Can interframe blending method no longer be selected in mGBA?

I just moved from retroarch to standalone. With the retroarch core I could choose between 4 interframe blending options: simple, smart, lcd ghosting accurate, and lcd ghosting fast. Now in standalone I can only choose to toggle interframe blending on or off. Is there anywhere I can enable advanced settings or something or were these options just removed?

Does non android Linux offer better audio latency?

I've been comparing emulation on my phone with retroarch(mgba core) to an original GBA and while visual input lag seemed close to original hardware the audio latency was quite noticable. Would using a non android based system or rocknix on a previously android based system improve this?

Edit: The comparison is using the speakers of both devices. I figured I should also mention some relevant retroarch settings. I have max swapchain images set to 2, vsync off, and audio latency set to 0 ms.

Are there any good alternatives to the Analogue Pocket?

I've been looking at getting a retro gaming handheld mainly for playing handheld titles on and am interested in FPGA because I want better audio latency than emulation while having convenient access to all the games I want to play and convenient syncing of saves to my PC for backups. Connecting to a dock for playing non-handheld consoles on a bigger screen would also be nice.

The things that keep me from getting an Analogue Pocket immediately is that I don't know how save syncing would work in a convenient way without wifi and that I would prefer a wider aspect ratio on the screen as otherwise I feel GB/C games feel oversized compared to GBA games. I also don't know how shaders or something similar would work for reproducing the correct colors and LCD effects like the grid and ghosting.

Have the devs said anything about improving shadow optimization?

I was going to try this game again after being away for a few years but was severely demotivated by shadows decreasing performance so much at any setting above low which is really ugly. The only word from the devs I've found is that they're "looking into it". Have they said else anything about this that I missed?

Does Automatic Frame Delay cause inconsistent input lag?

I think I'd prefer slightly higher input lag if it's more consistent.

Is there a list of which PSP games do and don't work at full speed on the Smart Pro S?

Being able to play PSP would be the main reason to get the Smart Pro S over a smaller device for me but I've heard it can't play all PSP games well and would like to know what I'd still be missing out on with this device.

How are the shoulder buttons on the Brick Pro and how comfortable is it?

I'm interested in this device but have heard many criticisms of the shoulder buttons on the original brick. Are they better on the Brick Pro?

Also how comfortable is using it while holding it fully in your palms? I've only ever seen people hold both this and the original brick by letting the device rest loosely on their fingers which I don't like doing. The face buttons and dpad being quite far up because of the sticks also makes me unsure of how nice they would feel to use for longer sessions.

How come split damage doesn't seem to be a problem in this game?

As I understand it split damage is generally a detriment in the other souls games because every damage type has to go through it's own layer of damage reduction but In this game I've seen people saying that mixing damage types is fine. Is it simply because elemental damage reduction is percent based?

If I'm just looking to increase 1 contest stat in Emerald do I just continously make Pokéblocks with 4 of the same EV reducing berry?

I'm preparing for a ribbon master and I just want to unlock all the scarves and farm luxury balls at the moment.

Does Company of Champions damage changes affect PVP?

I've been playing with Company of Champions active but it seems like invaders(both NPCs and other players) also deal way more damage to me than I do to them. Is this because of the covenant? If so I'll probably turn it off since I feel my inexperience is a big enough disadvantage in PvP.

Does the Anbernic RG34XX or MagicX One 35 have better feeling controls?

I'm looking to get small a GBA focused device and it seems like these two seem like the best options right now. The One 35 seems to have several advantages, the main one for me being stereo speakers, but I've seen quite a few complaints about the feel of the controls and that is the most deciding factor for me so which one is better in this respect?

I am willing to open the device up for a dpad tape mod if it makes a difference.

Is there a mod for One 35 shoulder buttons to make them silent?

I'm interested in the One 35 but have heard the shoulder buttons are loud which I would prefer them not to be. If I could have them slightly raised that would be nice too.

I'm looking for a good somewhat smaller device for mainly handheld titles.

After trying some emulation on my phone to figure out how big of a screen I might want in a handheld I realised the the most important purpose a handheld would fill for me is having a device with a smaller screen specifically for handheld titles. Fullscreen on my phone screen in landscape mode(equivalent to a 5.6" 16:9 in height) pushes against the larger end of what I want for such titles so I figured I'd go for something smaller and have looked at some options but am having a hard time deciding.

I'm mainly looking to play GB and GBA with integer scaling but being able to play PSP would be nice too.

The most appealing options I've looked at so far seem to be Anbernic RG34XX for it's small size but seemingly decent ergonomics and perfect screen for integer scale GBA and TrimUI Smart Pro S for a larger(but not too large) image, stereo speakers and seemingly decent PSP emulation.

I've also considered the RG34XXSP but I find the controls of a GBA SP kind of cramped and browsing this sub for a while has made me not trust the hinges from these gaming handheld companies.
