Information On Carved Coral Necklace

I have been going through some jewelry inherited from my mother.

I know this is at least from the 1950's but I am almost certain that it is older since my mother loved old stuff and "arty" type jewelry and doesn't resemble anything that would have been sold new during the 1950's.

She thought it was from the turn of the century - but who knows?

The carved beads are hollowed so not molded for the design.

The small "orange" beads appear to be quite different than the carved beads so perhaps it was restrung at some point as the clasp also is a bit of an oddity.

There is also a pair of earrings which I put away but are essentially just duplicating the large carved beads as dangles

I have tried googling but nothing even remotely resembling has turned up.

I don't plan on doing anything other than putting them back in the place where I had stashed all of the valuable and semi-valuable jewelry I had gotten from her and my grandmother but would love to get some sense of what it is.

I Keep Getting Messages That My External Hard Drive Ejected Improperly

I got a new external hard drive - LaCie from Apple Store (5 TB) if it makes any difference.

It is connected directly to one of the USB-C ports on my computer through a cable that was new and came with the drive - e.g. not one of those flimsy white cables from amazon.

The computer is an iMac purchased in June 2025 and running Tahoe 26.4.1

The external drive is newer than the computer as I purchased it last month with a larger external to use as my new Time Machine destination as I wanted to be a bit proactive in terms of my external hard drives.

I will get this pop up randomly. The drive wasn't jostled or moved as it sits towards the back of my desk.

When I check the external Finder (both desktop and Sidebar) the drive is still mounted and so if it was ejected it immediately reconnected. I can also access all files on the external drive.

The only correlation that might be occurring is that the notice seems to occur when I "wake up" the computer but not when I am using the computer.

Any insight?

I am going through some old papers and came across a check from Money Network indicating that it is because I closed an account with them.

I have never had any kind of account with Money Network. It says to call them on the back of their card - don't have a card as I have never had dealings with them.

Is this a scam of some kind?

I am inherently suspicious by nature and I don't even want to even attempt to contact this place lest I start some kind of digital trail.

Not sure what more information I can add as this came to my correct address in the mail but I have never had any dealings with this company or any company with this name and the letter attached doesn't state anything except that I requested it when I closed an account - but never had any account with them.

Going through my pantry and found a jar of salsa with a "best eaten by" date of 2018

The jar is intact and I assume when I open the lid there would be the "pop" indicating that the air tight sealing was still fine.

Ordinarily I would toss but this is special gourmet salsa which I used to buy in quantity and is no longer manufactured.

Assuming when I open it, the contents look fine and no discoloration, is it safe?

It is made with some ingredients that normally inhibit toxins - e.g vinegar, salt, tomatoes and citric acid.

I have been getting messages from Apple that after 2027 Rosetta support will be discontinued and to contact developers of any legacy software that was intended to run on Intel.

I have limited need but I do have questions

I don't use Word anymore but I have lots of documents that were created in Word but I can open them and if I want to use them in someway other than viewing I use Pages. Will I lose even the ability to open old Word documents?

The reason I ask is I have some documents which were created in the 1990's by Paperport (for example) which used software that makes them completely unopenable at this point and I would not want to lose the ability to even view old Word documents

I have an HP Printer and the drivers are Intel I would imagine. I use a printer almost never and the scanner function a bit more often. Will I need to buy a new printer or will HP actually provide drivers that function?

ETA I am more than willing to spend money in order get the technology I need but I have very limited needs for Word and my my printer/scanner. Not being able to even open a Word document unless I get the newest Word App would be especially infuriating since I open a Word document perhaps maybe six times a year - if that.

I don't USE Word at this point nor do I have an Intel based Mac computer. To the extent I draft documents that require any kind of word processing capability I use Pages which opens Word documents and can then modify them in Pages and even convert/save to Word. I am just trying to find out whether Pages will still open Word documents or whether Rosetta Stone is necessary to provide that functionality in which case Word documents won't be able to be opened by Pages after 2027 and I would need to purchase Word to even open or view a Word document.

I have iCloud and for many years it has synched flawlessly between my iMac, iPhone and iPad.

I noticed that recently the Contacts on my iPhone (15 Pro Max) doesn't contain the same contacts as are still on my iPad and iMac contact App.

Everything else synchs - e.g. Notes, Books, Messages and Mail but for whatever reason the iPhone no longer has the same contacts information as the iMac and iPad

Nothing has been recently changed - my iPhone has been in use since Fall of 2023 when it was released.

My Apple Identity hasn't been changed and is the same one used for years as is my password.

Any thoughts as to what I can do - Since the iMac and iPad versions contain my most recent contacts I am afraid that I might lose the recent additions. As far as I can tell it is the most recent additions which are missing - which again is odd because I have used those contacts on my iPhone and so they were once accessible on the iPhone,
