Baltimore shows 7/18 and 7/19

A bunch of new inventory just dropped on TM for both nights, including GA. These appear to be artist or venue holdbacks that have been made available, some in groups of 8 or more. Good luck!

Help a Dad out: what do I need to know?

Taking my teen to the Baltimore concert. I've been going to concerts of all kinds since the early 90's. Everything from Pink Floyd to Pink to Gwar to U2 to Bruce Springsteen to Lady Gaga. Tame Impala... isn't familiar to me, I'm embarrassed to say. Yes, I've heard Dracula. I've also watched random clips on YouTube, and the mix of audio / visual seems terrific. But I don't feel like I know much about the artist / history/ culture.

What do I most need to know going into the show, and which songs is it critical I get familiar with before we go?

Baltimore Saturday 7/18 show 2nd row near mainstage (platinum tix) available on TM

I've listed my two platinum tickets for the first night in Baltimore for resale on Ticketmaster, 2nd row of Section 120. Tickets were platinum seats during the original onsale, meaning a face value of $436 each. The ticketmaster resale is identical in price -- no additional fees or taxes. I'm not giving you the link, because I don't want anyone to think this is a scam. Go to the main Ticketmaster page and buy them if you'd like them. I just want them to go to a good home.

Death of an X5: Alaskan 4th of July Car Launch Ed.

This year's Alaskan 4th of July Car launch featured a classic black X5. Full video of the event linked here, X5 launch starts at 38:26: https://youtu.be/4lRGhj237Bw?is=OKv9RTdprswIFUkC

A few screen grabs here too. It didn't get the most air, but the way it shed the power train on landing was kind of cool.

Austrian GP 2027 - how hard will it be to safely resell tickets if the date doesn't work once announced? Can I wait for the date to be set before I buy?

We are a family of four living in the US, and we're thinking of going to this race next year. I know the seats I'll want if we go (three corner package), and they're currently available direct from the track. What we don't know is the race weekend, and we already have some family commitments next year that could preclude travel.

If I buy the three corner package, and we can't go to the race because the date doesn't work, how hard / risky will it be for me to get my money back?

Alternatively, if I wait to buy until the calendar is fixed, will face value tickets still be available, or will I need to buy from a reseller?

What are your favorite Nats Bobbleheads of all time?

Don't just tell us, but show us your top 3 favorite bobbleheads -- can be from the Nats or the Nats minor league systems. Any player, any mascot, any era.

These are my three picks: Obi-Sean because it's just perfect in every way, the Werth gnome because it's an amazing silly caricature of a generally angry dude, and the Werth 2012 NLDS thrown helmet moment because it memorializes the best Nats moment I got to see live at the park (sadly I wasn't in LA or Houston in 2019 for the others).

US WWI Liberty Bond Poster (1917 - Joseph Pennell)

I know that authenticating prints from pictures is hard, but I'd appreciate thoughts on whether my 1917 Joseph Pennell liberty bond poster is real. The Library of Congress has an original copy of this (https://www.loc.gov/pictures/item/2008677184/), and the Smithsonian does too, and dimensionally mine is identical -- About 100 cm x 70 cm showing through the matting. A prior owner of the poster went to the time and expense of having it professionally mounted onto a museum grade canvas backing and then having it framed, I assume to fix the tears that exist in the upper right and lower left. The poster has vertical and horizontal fold lines, from it originally having been folded into 1/6th.

The paper appears to be old brown paper stock, almost like newsprint, and it appears to have been a press printing not something done with a modern ink printer.

Any particular hallmarks of authenticity I should be looking for? Any dead giveaways its a reproduction?

I bought it 10 years ago, and have no idea how the prior owner (a large business) came to possess it. They were auctioning the large fine art collection at one of their offices that was closing, and selling their even larger poster collection at fixed prices basically at the value of the frames. I believe this is a historical item that the company handling the sale put in with the posters instead of the fine art based on how it was framed, but could be wrong.

Why are there snipers on the roof at Nats Park tonight?

Someone posted this image on Bluesky. I've only ever seen this at games the President attends. Anyone know what's up?

Anyone pick up their season ticket holder gifts last night?

Going tonight and wondering if they're even worth the walk over to the RCR center. Really hard to tell from the tiny pics in the ballpark app (blown up / enhanced in this post).

And what's in the box? Tell me, what's in the box?

ROC - catastrophic engine failure

I'm at ROC and they scrambled all three trucks and a chief across the field towards the United gates. Looks like it was a catastrophic engine failure...

...on one of the luggage tugs. The situation was so serious it took them TWO ENTIRE TUBS of kitty litter to soak up the oil or coolant or whatever the tug dropped onto the tarmac.

Emergency response, serious business.

Baltimore AVTT PTTN show

Had an awesome time this evening. I hadn't watched any videos for prior sets, so had no idea what to expect, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. They meshed really well, and had a ton of energy. Loved when they played Easy.
