Why does Gen Z seem more fascinated by old technology rather than technological advancement?

For a generation growing up completely on technology, they've become technologically conservative. Gen Z has revived the Vinyl, They want retro consoles and pay from either a really cheap or even a 100+ dollar price to retrieve them. Same goes for old hobbies, fashion or third spaces. It seems like (from what ive personally observed) older generations are more fascinated by advancements and minimalism , mainly because its cool to see how advanced things were than back then. Is it simply because Gen Z yearns for more?

Is it really assault if you don't tell someone you're trans before yk??

I personally don't think it is because most people are severely insecure and i don't think attraction=genitala. but it seems that straight/cis people who have messed with trans people think it is, some don't and some trans people always let a person know they're trans before doing anything. Is this just courtesy, should I always tell??

Essentially, Ik that queer has been a definition for centuries but I am ultimately confused by this guys point. His essential take is saying "Being Queer means you like children" and queer was a label made by pedos (Obviously wrong) but then he goes to talk about Foucault who sympathized with predators. I am so confused can anyone explain this to me like I'm five.

Below is his original take

I'm not sure what I should do, I feel like majoring or minoring both would be too much of a work load. If all goes bust in either I'd like being some sort of Urban Designee or Exercise nutritionist/physiologist. What if I just want to take kinesiology classes as an elective for fun, would it be worth doing that?

I have my gripes about Korra fans and the show itself but Korra haters are more annoying by a long shot and you can tell when they actually didn't give the show a chance. They just hate to watch or didn't finish the show at all then hop on the internet to validate their hate and false narrative/plausible deniability's.

An example is when Korra trusted Unalaq. Many people say Tonraq and Tenzin told her not to trust him . Admittedly, I thought the same til I rewatched and thought about it in Korra's perspectives. Korra had every right to feel resentment for Tonraq and Tenzin after they sheltered her, lied to her, and weren't being direct with why they didn't like him and Unalaq capitalized off of that perfectly. She saw him as an opportunity to become a better avatar and bring balance. But apparently to these Korra haters it was just her "ego" and brashness?

It's like they take one flaw about her character and apply it to every situation. I won't deny her ego escalated a few problems but they over exaggerate it

and are unforgiving of her circumstances.

I pretty much know why, but I want to cite specific sources for a video I'm doing. I know they mention some cosmic ripple or how keeping the portals opened went in line with Harmonic Convergence. But I don't remember which Books or episodes any of the world building is stated. And I know some things in ATLA connect to the explanation as well.
