I just remember being around 19, being a weird loner Black girl and finally discovering this band while in one of those boring stagnant music phases, where I was just in search of something new (musically) to actually interest me and invigorate me. Something to make me feel actually semi-excited about music again, you know?

When I randomly discovered this song and heard it come through my headphones for the first time, I remember sitting back and thinking.... "What the fuck is this?"

Looked up the band and immediately went:

"Wait a goddamn minute. You can sound like *this*? And look and be like *this*? This is an actual thing? And they're from the fucking late 70's?!?" 🤯 To be 19 again, lol. 🙄

And down the rabbit hole I went.

So another user here (/u/Agressive-Pear-1995) mentioned that they didn't know of the Weedkiller Pop Up live exhibition thing that Ash did to promote the Weedkiller album, so I thought I'd make a post with the video in case anyone else was interested or didn't know about it 💙

Was anybody able to attend the exhibit when she did this?

Looking more into it, I actually thought it was just a regular exhibit where she posed and allowed people to come take pictures of her for a little bit - not a literal exhibit where she played pretty much the entire album alongside it, too. So essentially it was like a cooler listening party for her to really involve people in the Weedkiller world. Pretty cool! 🤘🏾

(Just a side note: Ash is pretty stationary most of the time and allowing people to listen to the album, but she does move around and interact with the exhibit itself and the onlookers a little bit too ❤️ Props to her and her team for creating such a cool promotion idea!)
