You’re an Imperial fleet commander and you’ve been tasked with killing a Starhawk, how would you go about it?

{Message received from ISD Firedrake-3rd Fleet}

Congratulations, commander!

Your impeccable record up to this point has awarded you the opportunity to bring glory to this Empire! The Starhawk, Tranquility has been harrying our escort fleets in the Rendili sector. Your job is to find and kill this rebel monstrosity before it does any more damage!

Predictions for the Battle of Dathomir

I’m assuming most of you would’ve watched the Ashoka season 2 trailer by the time you’re reading this, if not, please do (it’s good). But I just wanted to lay out my initial thoughts.

I think the battle is going to happen early on in the season. Remember that, at the end of season 1, Thrawn was at Dathomir with the Chimaera docked with the Eye of Scion. During the trailer, we see the same configuration on Dathomir. Pairing that with the scene of an ISD undergoing repairs, I think it’s safe to say Dathomir is going to be at the beginning, rather than the end.

That being said, this is how I think it’s gonna go down.

We see, in the trailer, a scene where Enoch is surrounded by nightsisters, I think they’re trying to do the ritual that awakens the zombies, or something similar. I think Thrawn’s gonna bait the New Republic into attacking Dathomir, launching a ground assault, only to raise the dead once they’ve extended. We see scenes of Ezra and Co. on Dathomir, so I think this is what’s probably gonna happen. Winning a victory against the New Republic will be what’ll rally the Imperial Remnant to his cause.

But unfortunately, all of this is meaningless as it leads to the sequels…that being said, I’ll still be a Thrawn fanboy, regardless.

Help! I’m a Hightower squire and I got captured, what do I do?

I was just foraging by for wood, I heard a bow draw and I saw this woman wearing Blackwood colors. Instead of shooting me she forced me in irons and took me to her tent. At first, it was alright, but it’s about to be nightfall and she’s looking at me weird.

Proliferation of superlaser technology

I was thinking this recently, after the battle of Exegol, superlaser tech should be everywhere. In the real world, real life technology advancement was done by reverse engineering captured enemy hardware, even in damaged states. And realistically, there should be some Sith Eternal members that survived the battle, either ones who weren’t on the ships or survived the crashes. Not only that, but there’s bound to be schematics and blueprints for the Xyston destroyers on Exegol somewhere and with thousands of random people having access to it, it’s only logical to assume someone out there figured out how to make planet cracking guns. What do you think the effect would be?

My unified Trinity theory

The lore around Trinity has always confused me in a few places, particularly its origins and how it stays “secret”, I’ve been thinking about a lot of these points and wanted to get you guys’ opinions on it, anyway, here I go: This has been one of my theories about unification lore that I think might actually carry some water.

I think that Trinity, initially at least, was founded as an Atlantean cult that eventually grifted off of Christianity during late antiquity in order to grow their political power. The name Trinity itself could have a twofold meaning. Obviously Trinity, as it presents itself, refers to the nature of God in Christianity, but it could also refer to the Atlantean triumvirate of Natla, Qualopec, and Tihocan.

What else do we know about Trinity? They hunt ancient artifacts and magic. What do we know can do impossible things that look like magic? Atlantean artifacts. In ROTR, the divine source has Atlantean markings on it, this leads me to believe it’s most likely an Atlantean artifact. Another issue I want to touch up on is the timeline, we know Trinity has existed during the B.C era to current day. The earliest operation we know of was 977 A.D, when Trinity first started hunting Jacob and his followers. The next we hear of them was during the 1600s, when they were trying to obtain the box of Ix Chel. From then on, we basically have radio silence from Trinity until late ww2. Who else reemerged during late ww2, Natla, and you know what caused her reemergence? The TRINITY nuclear test. The implication of Oppenheimer being a Trinity soldier aside, the concept of Trinity using embedded agents throughout history, waiting for technology to advance to advance their conspiracies is really cool.

Fast forward to what we see during the modern day with Rise and Shadow, we see characters like Ana, Konstantin, and Rourke talk about Trinity’s High Council like they’re just using their members like they’re disposable, even Dominguez, who’s technically their leader despite not being a Christian. This makes sense if members of the High Council are in on the cult within a cult, this brings me to my last point, which is the in world public perception of Trinity.

One thing that confused me from the start was, for a “secret” society, Trinity paints its logo everywhere. From their vehicles, to the embroidery on their soldiers’ uniforms. Why would a secret society be so open? That got me thinking to a piece of dialogue in Rise, where a merc talks about wanting to get work with Trinity for a while. This leads me to believe that Trinity exists publicly, albeit as just a private military contractor. In another piece of dialogue, some mercs outside the cathedral talk about being initiated into Trinity itself, not just being a mercenary. In that, there are essentially 3 different Trinities (no pun intended), that scale in secrecy. The public PMC, the “Christian” cult, and the Atlantean cult.

FYI, I had 9 months in between college programs and I had a lot of time on my hands.

(Spoilers main) What would’ve happened had Maelor and Rickard Thorne actually made it to Oldtown?

Say that the stable boy at Bitterbridge decided not to be nosy and Maelor’s egg is never discovered. From there, everything goes fine and the duo end up in Oldtown. How does this affect the end of the dance politically?

Does anyone actually know which Wagner song Larry was whistling?

I was watching the scene where Larry was whistling Wagner and the other Jew confronted him about it and said he was a self-loathing Jew for liking a song by Wagner. I’m kind of a fan of old music so I was wondering which piece Larry was actually whistling

Predictions for Tumbleton? (Possible spoilers?)

We’ve seen people predict they’re gonna merge Tumbletons 1 and 2, I disagree with that since there’s only gonna be one more season of the show and having 2 Tumbletons will mess up the pacing worse than it already is. I think a far more likely option is that they’re gonna merge Tumbleton 2 with the Kingsroad, but that’s a different story. This is how I think Tumbleton’s gonna go down.

  1. The Black army gathers outside the city and plans for attack. Hugh would want to use caution, but Daemon and the others would want to attack. I actually think the reason Daemon’s on foot might be because Hugh demands it, but that’s might be putting too much stock in Daemon.

  2. The Black army breaks through the gates, we get the scene where Gwayne and Daeron run down the walkway.

  3. As the battle moves into the city, we get the shots of Roddy and Daemon fighting the Hightower soldiers. I predict Roddy will kill Ormund, but also die in the process.

  4. Hugh will discover the Blacks somehow killed his wife, whether it be from Caraxes or a soldier, either way he loses it and starts killing indiscriminately, both Blacks and Greens but probably, mostly, Blacks since they’ll be the nearest to him.

  5. At this point, Ulf will betray the Blacks and strafe the Black army, this is probably the scene where Daemon is looking up, surrounded by smoke.

  6. Daeron mounts Tessarion and covers the Hightower army’s retreat from Tumbleton, burning the rest of Daemon’s host.

  7. As Daemon reaches Caraxes we get a parallel of the scene in season 2 with Aemond and the dragonseeds. But this time it’ll be Daemon having to retreat after realizing he can’t win a 3v1.

How would you even go about destroying an Eclipse conventionally?

Both times we got an Eclipse Class, they both went down due to unconventional reasons. The first time, Palpatine’s force storm went out of control and swallowed the ship whole. The second time, the galaxy gun was destroyed on Byss and exploded the entire system. That got me thinking, if you wanted to fight an Eclipse, where would you even start?

Imagine how bad Dornish hypergamy must be

I’ve been thinking, especially considering the Mad King play, polygamy is pretty widespread in Dorne and the stereotypes are true. Like, imagine how hard it must be for a Dornish, sub5 chud to live a good life when some lord can just have a harem and your culture is alright with it. No wonder the population of Dorne is so low, everyone with common sense moves to the Reach or Stormlands lmao

Which places are the “good” parts of London?

My cousin lives in Europe and every few years I like to visit him and go to another country. Last time we went to Greece and, unknowingly to us, we’d booked a hotel in what was basically the hood in Athens. There were druggies and homeless people everywhere, there was even a guy in his underwear yelling at our family for being visibly foreign. That being said, what part of London is the most chill and safe to be in?

What was the Word Bearers’ thing?

Like, what was their specialization? I know the Ultramarines were generalists, the Emperor’s Children specialists, the Dark Angels purgation, Iron Warriors siege, etc…. But I never quite got what the Word Bearers were good at. I know they were a big legion, was numbers their thing? I get that their purpose was religious conversion (ironic since they were meant to convert from), but that’s not a battle doctrine. Does anyone actually know how they conduct war?

If Westeros were a modern country, which football club would have the worst fanbase?

Obviously Raventree Hall FC and Stonehedge FC fans would get into fights all the time. Other than that, I could see Riverrun FC fans being super annoying even though their team is awful most of the time. Obviously Lannisport FC has been on a roll, but is looking pretty weak this upcoming season. One thing that’s certain is that Dragonstone FC fans are probably the most dedicated considering their head coach has led them to nothing but failure, yet they’re still hopeful for their games against Twins and Dreadfort FC

Do you think they regret making Aegon absurdly evil in s1? (Spoilers)

Looking at Aegon’s characterization in season 1 versus his later appearances in seasons 2 and 3, we see a pretty stark difference. If someone were to watch only seasons 2 and 3, they’d get the idea that Aegon was a lazy, drunk, unqualified king, but ironically funny person. A far cry from him being a rapist who forces his own illegitimate children to fight in child fighting rings which is, let’s be honest, really derpy writing. Considering Aegon’s characterization in the first season is why most people hate him, it sometimes would get hard for a non-bookreader to really get invested in the tragedy that the dance is supposed to be and I think the writers know that. It would’ve, imo, been a lot better had the show focused more on Aegon and Rheanyra and their dichotomy in the first season without turning Aegon into Ramsay and the Greens ridiculously evil.

Why are Egyptian ruins so well preserved compared to Greco-Roman ones, despite being older?

Obviously a major exception being a Pantheon, but I went to Greece and Rome and the ruins were, well, ruins. The Athenian Acropolis was in really sorry shape, the Parthenon is barely being held together as just an exoskeleton of its former self (I know about the Venetians blowing it up). But the other structures, or what’s left of them are either in pieces or hollowed out. In Rome, the famous forum outside the Colosseum where Julius Caesar was murdered is in pieces, the only things from the Roman period still intact I saw were the Colosseum itself and the Arch of Titus. I mean, even Trajan’s Market was in better shape than that. It seems the most well preserved history in Greece and Rome are the medieval buildings like Castale Sant’Angelo (I know it was an ancient mausoleum but it was torn down and rebuilt during medieval times) and the Vatican. Compared to Egyptian ruins, we see the sphinx, Karnak, Abu Simbel, the various tombs, and others being in better shape than the Greco-Roman buildings despite being built in the Bronze Age.

Why aren’t probe droids used more?

This is mostly inspired by current events and how modern wars are being fought. We’re seeing how effective FPV drones are in places like Ukraine or Lebanon. If you think about it, a probe droid is a lot more capable than an FPV drone and could be a cheap way to drop grenades or even suicide bomb themselves into an enemy position.

Is Hashishakusama your version of slenderman?

There are some basic similarities: they’re both unnaturally tall, they both stalk children, they both have obscured faces, etc…

Did slenderman inspire Hashishakusama or did the similarities only happen by coincidence?
