This scene weakened Gus' character for me.

While watching Breaking Bad a big part of why I find Gus a compelling villain/character is you get the idea that Gus was always ambitious, but was turned into a monster by the murder of his partner. It even makes you sympathetic to his motives because you can understand it's being driven by rage and grief.

And then in this scene Gus gives a monologue to an unconscious Hector about how he captured and tortured an animal because it was stealing his fruit. An obvious parable about what he eventually does with Hector.

Personally I think this takes a lot away from the character, because it just turns out Gus had psychopathic tendencies from the start, he was already a monster.

So, when you watch that scene now in Breaking Bad, and he's crying into the pool next to his dead partner, why should we care? Because that's not a misunderstood character grieving, that's a psychotic animal torturer, someone who was always destined to be evil.

I still love Gus as a character, but I do not think BCS added to his character the way it does Saul or Mike, I think it actively takes away him and makes him less nuanced.

I am not a Death Note fan, I didn't really enjoy my watch, but I believe in giving credit where it's due. This scene is one of the best I've ever seen in any show/movie.

What are your parties moral alignments?

We started off with Dragon Heist, and it was very diplomatic, relying on persuasion checks and conversation. Then we moved into DOTMM, and now my party just kills everything in sight, even if it's a tough fight that almost wipes us out, it's just all murder.

Paladin/Sorcerer advice.

I'm starting Strahd (levels 1-10) as a paladin, assuming I survive I'm thinking of multiclassing into sorcerer but unsure when to do so

I'll be a vengeance paladin, so I could wait until 7th level and get the reaction ability but this is pretty niche and won't always be coming up

If I wait until 7 I could just go until 8 and get the ASI, maxing out my strength

6 is tempting to get the aura to help with saving throws, but means I won't get my ASI until the very endgame

I could do it just after 5 but then I don't get the aura

What would you do, or have done in the past if you've played this combo?

Flygon, despite being s cool pokemon and portrayed as very powerful in the anime unfortunately does not have great base stats.

How would you make their Mega form good, amd what would you change, e.g typing, ability, new stats etc
