I certain items I collect. The algorithm knows that, and should also know that I never buy anything even near $100, but what does it show me every time I go to the site? Things that are hundreds or thousands of dollars. Like yeah, I’d like that but I’m not in that tax bracket, lol.
There’s a gag mug out there on Amazon that has what looks like an abstract pattern on it when viewed right side up but when turned to the side it reveals a hidden message that says “Fuck This Shit”. I got a black and white one for the house but my dad and cousin thought it was absolutely hilarious and that my uncle would love it so we gifted it to him. Because my cousin loved it so much, I decided to get her one as well, only the one I got her was in color with each line of text a different color, and the colors were colors that I thought matched her style pretty well. When the mug arrived though, the colors were significantly muted, and what was supposed to be yellow was actually tan.
I left a straightforward review on Amazon referencing the text of the mug in the review, simply stating at that part of the mug was not the color shown in the listing, and when scrolling through my reviews, a while later, was surprised to find that I had been banned from reviewing the product for using profanity in the review, even though the profanity was actually just me referencing the text of the mug.
being that a lot of people don’t like the new Chai Lattes at Starbucks, I thought I’d share my at home recipe that uses the Tazo Chai Tea Latte Concentrate, which Starbucks used to use a few years back, and you can purchase at . Bonus, it comes in a decaf version if you prefer decaf. The recipe is very simple and you do not need any special equipment aside from a frother that you can get for $10.
10 tablespoons 2% milk.
5 tablespoons Tazo Chai Latte Concentrate (be sure to shake the box first).
A few dashes of cinnamon powder (I prefer a lot. Trader Joe’s is a good brand).
A small dash of ground white pepper.
Heat to your preferred temperature and then froth.
I use a little 4 tablespoon measuring cup to measure the milk and chai out.
I find him kind of interesting and endearing, not draining. I think he would find me a massive downer.

This is what a boomer said to me about a mutual relation we have who was experiencing financial issues. He said she should “Suck d***” because since she’s a lesbian, it wouldn’t mean anything since she would have no emotional attachment.
Sometimes he also experiences financial issues so I asked him why he didn’t “suck d***” for money. He acted incredulous and said because it was different. I asked him how, since he was a straight man, and so had no emotional attachment so it wouldn’t mean anything.
He said “Because I’m a straight guy.”
I said “Yeah? And she’s a lesbian. Neither of you are attracted to guys. She finds the them as equally disgusting as you do.”
He said she didn’t.
I said she did.
He said “Everyone is a little gay or bi.”
I said ”No they’re not.”
He said “Yes they are.”
I said, “Even you?”
He jolted like he stuck his hand in a light socket, and proclaimed “No! Not ME!”

Most of the counties in my state seem to use Vitalchek for online vital record ordering. But the problem with Vitalchek is they only take credit cards, and if you are ordering a certified copy of a record, the payment method has to be in your name. Well, my elderly low income mother does not have a credit card, probably doesn’t qualify for one, and so typically when she has to put something on a credit card, I put it on my credit card. Only Vitalchek won’t let me put her order on my credit card even though they use other means to verify the identity of the person requesting the record. this means, we have to order the record by Mail. That means we have to print out the application, print out an identity verification form, get it notarized, get a money order, and go to the post office.
It’s possible that I’m missing something and there is another way to process the payment through Vitalchek, but I wouldn’t know because they have horrible customer service. There’s nobody to call and nobody on their live chat. You have to email them and wait for them to get back to you.
Issue 1, Inconsistent cursor:

With that open, tap to reply to a different commenter. New text box opens and automatically produces a cursor.
To instantiate the cursor in the reply to the first commenter selected requires that the user tap in the text box.
Issue 2, Highlighting:
Highlighting the text to the next line does not work when instantiated from the first line. Attempting to do so causes the whole page to scroll instead.
Highlighting to the next line from a non first line works but hitting the end of the text box still causes the whole page to scroll
My cousin doubles as my dad’s personal assistant/caregiver and is here for a few hours per day on week days. In many respects, she is very helpful, but she’s also a loud, highly opinionated type A with boundary issues, who has a tendency to try to commandeer things that are not in her domain, and she can turn something simple into something very difficult.
Last year, though she was invited, she told us she would not be coming to the BBQ because she just wanted to stay home and relax. We told her that was fine and not to worry about it. It was her day off anyway, she lives a bit far, and there was nothing my dad needed for her to do. My dad and I had done the shopping, he was capable of manning the barbecue on his own, and my mother, who has an unnecessarily large collection of serving dishes because she likes to set up hors d’oeuvres and the likes, was going to help me with the food prep.
Most of the houses here are open with a kitchen peninsula/bar dividing the kitchen from the family room, and such was the design of our house. My mother and I set up our spread on the peninsula for easy access and then everyone chilled in the family room while we waited for the BBQ’d items to be done.
As we were sitting there, talking and chilling, my cousin stormed in unannounced like she was conducting a surprise inspection, and when I say stormed in, I mean she came flying in, as she tends do. She said she just decided to stop by, though she lives 40 miles away, and then almost immediately started taking the food off of the peninsula, telling us we should instead put it on the dining room table. We were all perplexed by this because the dining room was out of the way on the other side of the kitchen and was away from our gathering area. We all told her as much, but she kept arguing with us about it while trying to relocate items and didn’t stop until I literally wrestled a bowl of chips out of her hands and set it back down on the peninsula.
After that defeat, she instantly spotted something else that she felt we didn’t do right and tried to ”fix”, and again, we had to stop her and tell her to leave it and to just sit down and relax. But she kept at it, storming around trying to modify things, all the while complaining that she was stressed and felt like she was “at work“, while loudly declaring that she was going to go home but not actually leaving. By this point, my mother was upset and everyone was completely bewildered so I told my cousin to actually leave.
This year, I haven’t told her about the gathering and told my mother that I’d prefer to keep it that way. But my mother, who has a fear of other people being alone on holidays, thinks I’m being mean, but I really just want a calm, relaxing nice time.
Recently, Oklahomans voted to not raise minimum wage in their state. minimum wage there is currently federal minimum wage and has not been raised for around 20 years despite significant inflation and an increase in the cost of living. Most people who make federal minimum wage, are either financially struggling, or have their cost of living subsidized somehow.
The argument against raising minimum wage is that it’s damaging to the economy because it takes money away from employers who may not be able to remain in business if they have to pay their employees more, or may not be able to grow their business and hire more people, (also at minimum wage.)
Being poor is often scorned in our society. People are often blamed for their poverty as if they have always done something wrong. You have a crappy job? Get better training. You go into debt to get better training and can’t get a job that pays enough to pay it back? Shame on you for taking out a loan you can’t pay back. you got a good white collar job and then the job market collapsed? Well then, you were dumb because you should’ve gone into the trades instead. You went into the trades and then the construction market collapsed? also shame on you because you should’ve known that construction isn’t stable and you should’ve gone to college and gotten a nice stable white collar job instead. you get the idea.
But if keeping an economy going means not raising the minimum wage, even when people on it are struggling, then doesn’t it mean that that economy relies on some people being poor? and if so, does it have to be that way in a capitalist economy? is it possible to have a prosperous capitalist economy floor on which people are not struggling?

I seem to have a difficult time getting more than six hours of continuous sleep per night, even though I need it. this time was no exception. I fell asleep around 1:30 AM, woke up around 7am with a sore earlobe, thirsty, and having to pee. so I got up to use the bathroom, and then the cats realized I was up and demanded breakfast. I got back in bed, hoping to fall asleep again, but then I thought I heard my dad being sick downstairs so I called him on his phone, but it just went to voicemail. I eventually got up to go check on him and he was OK but we couldn’t figure out why his phone was going to voicemail. we eventually got that issue fixed, and then I discovered that the noise I heard was apparently my brother downstairs in the garage. so I checked on him and he was OK and just sneezing. by this time, the younger cat has the zoomies because she’s an indoor cat and is only 3 so bored out of her mind. I grabbed one of the cat toys. She’s been partial to recently, a tuft of feathers on the end of a fishing pole, got back in bed though I could call her down by swinging the feathers around a bit for her. but when I stopped, she jumped up on the bed and tried to pick a fight with the older cat. she’s been in psycho kitty mode for about three hours now and I have to pee again so I don’t think we’ll be getting any more sleep this round.

My mom’s cat seems to be allergic to chicken. Not a problem as far as food goes because there are plenty of limited ingredient options that he likes. But as far as treats go, he’s addicted to these Royal Canin hydrolyzed chicken treats and his prescription for them expired and no retailer will ship them unless it’s renewed. This is not a legal requirement. It’s a marketing policy of Royal Canin. His vet can’t write the prescription unless they see him again because he hasn’t been seen in over a year. It costs at least $100 to walk into the vet around here, and who wants to take a cat for a car ride when they don’t have to?
so does anybody know a place we can get these that does not require a prescription?

My dad and two of my siblings do this. They’ll have all the time in the world to take a shower, won’t, and then will suddenly decide they need to take a shower when it’s time to leave to go somewhere. My dad even did this when my mom went in to labor with my brother (who also does this), and made her wait while he showered before he took her to the hospital.
Why?!? Why do you do this?!? Stop being inconsiderate jerks and shower at night if you can’t shower as part of your morning routine!!!
I currently live in a mid sized suburban city and our local supermarket has a Pokemon card vending machine that uses a timer to limit sales. This thing is guarded by scalpers from open to close. Grown ass men that literally stand in front of the machine, blocking it while waiting for it to unlock. I walked in there last night to get some beverages and the machine was being guarded by some methed out full grown guy and his girlfriend.
This is supposed to be a card game for little kids and these motherfuckers have put it out of reach for a lot of them, mutherfucking robbers of childhood joy.
