My dad (senior citizen) recently got scammed for Rs 1900/-, he got a reel for a dry fruit shop from Jammu known as Shri Ram Dry fruits but unfortunately it was from fake impersonating account who was copy pasting the content of original account but editing the videos with his own mobile number ..

My dad thought it was the original shop contact number.. where he contacted the scammer on WhatsApp asking for rate list...

Scammer provided same rate list as that of original shop and dad paid to a QR code scammer sent..

Now after 3 days some random number pinged my dad with message that your order is sent and then called my dad.. mentioning that " I will refund your 1900 so you can pay COD because there is some issue with our shop gst number and bla bla.. i overheard the conversation and immediately told my dad it's a scam.. and scammer heard me and cut the call.

Apparently the scammer was trying to send a fake bank text message of amount 1900 credited and then would say sorry uncle by mistake I sent 19000 instead of 1900 can you send rest back please or something..

Now the scammer is blocking every number different number I call him with

I reported the transaction on gpay marking it as fraud.

I called the 1930 2-3 times but they are cutting the call after i mention the amount.

I filed an online complaint cybercrime gov.in with all evidence like ( scammer Instagram account/ WhatsApp number / QR code he gave me and UPI Id and transaction number)

Today I got an email that my acknowledgement number is now sent to nearby police station today.

I reached out to bank and they said check with police for freezing the account of scammer.

What should be the next course of action.. ?
