Ogu and Mingu are Yves’ cats right?

I have recently read Yves profile on Kpopprofiles and learned that she apparently has two cats? I couldn’t find almost anything on the Internet about it or any good photos of them three together.

But I attached the pictures I think are them. If anyone can send me a good picture with all three of them, I would be very grateful. Or if she had them at different times, I just want to learn more.

Edit: These photos are from Pinterest btw.

Edit2: If anyone’s interested, this is the link to the source: https://kprofiles.com/yves-loona-profile/

The exact sentence was “She has two cats named Ogu and  Mingu. She used to have a dog named Haneul (“sky’), but they passed away”

u/SheTookMeToTheSky_26 is seeking to moderate

I don’t want to mod any NSFW subs. It would be great if it’s a fairly small community, not more than 100 k subscribers so I don’t have to spend hours daily on it.

It would be good if it’s a community that is about a niche interest, just please no gaming.

Also, no modding experience but I’m willing to learn.

Edit: Since I’m mostly chronically offline (except for Reddit), meme subreddits or subreddits about shows/ series are probably not the best idea.

Edit2: Please mention the subreddit name if you write a message like “dm me”.

Looking for someone to study maths with me

18F and in my last year of high school.

Maths is my favourite subject but I lack the motivation to do it alone. So if you also want to study maths and going to be in 12th grade or maybe even in college, write me a message (DMs are turned off).

Only women, and not older than 23.

18F, looking for fellow female friends

Hey, I'm a 18 year old woman looking for friends. I'm a lesbian so if you're not queer friendly or want to
"change me", please don't message me.

I’m looking for someone who I can chat with regularly (but not 24/7), maybe play chess with together or analyse books/ series. I love learning about new things so we can study together or you can tell me more about some of your passions (I like to listen more than to talk)

A little bit about me.

Hobbies:
Reading, chess, writing, discussing series/ movies and Kpop

Details:

  1. Love Reading and would be happy to discuss books with someone. My favourite genres are thrillers and fantasy but I can read almost anything.

  2. Played chess since my childhood, now I'm trying to get back into playing. We can play a few games together or discuss something chess related.

  3. Hobby writer and love writing fantasy thriller short stories. (If you like writing too, we can proofread read each other)

  4. Don't like watching series on my own but would love to watch something to then discuss it in detail.

  5. I'm a kpop fan (mainly of gg groups) so we can discuss stuff like comebacks or maybe watch some horror/ thriller kdrama since I'm not into romance.

  6. I have a pretty dark sense of humour but I never intend to hurt people with if. If that's not your thing, we probably won't click.

Please don't message me if you're a man, want a romantic relationship or going to be a creep. Looking for purely platonic relationships.

Please be of age 18-21. If you’re significantly older, the argument “age is just a number” isn’t going to convince me.

If you didn't bother reading all of this and message me something like "What are your hobbies?", you can
expect to be ignored.

I love writing whole essays for responses so if you don't like that, you should ignore this post.

I'm a bit of a dry texter (it's probably clear from this post) so if I'm not using 1000 emojis, I'm not necessarily mad or being passive aggressive.

And I sometimes sound "mean" or "rude", so please ask if you're unsure what I meant by something.

Also, if I don't reply immediately I'm not ghosting you it could just take some time.

Last thing: If you ignore one of my "don't'"'s, you can expect to be ignored or blocked.

If you're still reading this and think we might match, please introduce yourself to me. Mention the hobbies/ interests we have in common and don't just message me a "hi", "how are you" or "dm me" (btw, my dms are turned off). You can ask me some questions, of course, but tell me also something about yourself.

I really hope to find some genuine friends here. And just a little disclaimer at the end: It's okay if we're only going to be movie/ reading buddies, we don't have to become bffs.

Last disclaimer (I promise): If sometime over the course of the conversation you notice that you don’t want to pursue a friendship with me or you just simple lost interest, please tell me so. Don’t ghost me for days and then be like “😂Sorry, forgot about this”. Nobody can force a friendship but it needs some effort or otherwise it won’t work.

Should I choose writing or being a lawyer?

I’m very conflicted right now.

It’s the stage of life for me where I decide what to do with my life and which job I’d like to work.

Since my childhood I always had a strong sense of judgement and what’s right or wrong. So, I always wanted to do something in that area. First a detective, then a policewoman and now I’m thinking about being a lawyer.

At the same time, my deepest childhood wish was to become a writer. It was something I fantasised about but not thought as something I could do, since I my works are always very personal. I’m a hobby writer already and have a lot of unfinished drafts on my PC.

Now I’m in this dilemma where I’m thinking if I should go the “safe” way and be a lawyer but neglect my writing passion. Or should I choose writing which would be far more difficult to succeed in and come with a lot of disadvantages? Or, my ideal scenario would be pursuing both. Being a professional lawyer while writing books under a pseudonym anonymously since it could negatively impact my career.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and did the right/ wrong thing? Are there lawyers here who can tell me if my dream is realistic?

By the way, I want to move to Switzerland and become a lawyer there, just for context.

POVs and improving sentences

I only recently started writing and I’ve seen quite some hate for the first person POV (mainly on Pinterest). What do you personally think about this POV and have you heard about this dislike before? Is it an internet trend or widespread among writers. I’m just unsure if a 3-rd person POV would be better since that seems more well-liked or nevertheless the 1-st one.

Also, are there some stylistic techniques to avoid using “I” every three sentences without it sounding harsh? Same as writing short sentences without it sounding dry or cutoff.

Nervous first-time kitten owner

Hey, cat lovers!
My family is adopting this 3-month-old baby tomorrow, and I’m a bit nervous, to be honest. We’ve had cats before, but never kittens. Any advice on what to do and what not to do? Also, is catnip a must?

For context, she’s female and half Siamese, half Oriental.

Any advice is welcome.

Edit: Also, should I brush her teeth daily? We’ve only had senior cats so I’m a little lost.

Genuinely productive hobbies

I’m looking for hobbies that teach practical, useful skills rather than just pass the time. Things like cooking, swimming, sewing, first aid, or gardening.

I enjoy crafting, but I often don’t know what to do with the finished product. For example, I like origami, but most of what I make just ends up sitting around. I’d rather learn hobbies where what you create or the skills you gain have a practical use.

What hobbies have genuinely improved your life?

How to rebuild my life

So, I want to talk about something deeply personal. I’m depressed. Still am but it’s getting better.

The thing is, my life absolutely crumbled a few years ago, and I’ve not been able to rebuild it yet. I’m going to therapy and it really changed my life for better.

Still, I want to know from people who experienced this: how do you rebuild your life? I mean productivity-wise.

Discipline and achievement were very important to me before and I want to be like I once was. But I don’t know where to start. What time should I wake up? What routines should I build? Should I start working out? What hobbies could help? Is there anything that I should definitely do?

A thing that complicates everything is that I have high-functioning autism and OCD, so not everything will work for me. Still, I’m hoping to learn something useful from this.

I also have another problem. I’m a bookworm, but I’ve been having trouble starting certain books. For years, my coping mechanism was reading fantasy novels. But even when I’m genuinely interested in a non-fiction book, I often just can’t bring myself to start it. I don’t really know why.

For context, I’m a female young adult. My hobbies are taekwondo and reading.

Should I just force myself to get out more, try new things, and meet people? Or is that something that could backfire if I push myself too hard?

If you could give me any advice on how to start really living instead of just surviving, I’d really appreciate it.

Send me your favourite sapphic songs and I’ll rate them

Drop your favourite sapphic/lesbian songs and I’ll rate them! I like sultry R&B, rock, catchy pop, and darker songs. No heavy metal or country.

I’m especially looking for songs by female artists with explicitly lesbian lyrics, but if you know an amazing exception, feel free to recommend it anyway!

My favourite queer artists are Nxdia and Chrissy Chlapecka, so anything with this vibe is especially welcome. My favourite sapphic song is Boyfriend by Dove Cameron.

🩷 — My new favourite track
❤️ — Love it
🧡 — Liked it
💛 — Good song
💚 — Listenable
💙 — Didn’t like it
✅ — Already knew it

Crow by i-dle

They look so gorgeous throughout the whole MV, I can't breathe.

Especially Soyeon, her current hairstyle makes her look so incredibly attractive.

And Minnie's seductive part? Her voice is really like that of a siren. It just draws you in deeper and deeper until you can't look away.

Also, the performance video was a masterpiece. Soyeon in a suit? Yuqi and Shuhua dancing together with this chain? Minnie looking so seductive and the white smoke around her? Miyeon looking as beautiful as always? And then the whole crow-like dance?

I know i-dle is already a really popular group but these women are so incredibly talented, I wish they would be even more. And the fact that this is a prerelease and we’re getting an album soon…

I’m always happy, I’ve discovered them.

Need Help to find more Sapphic Kpop GG Music

In celebration of Pride Month, I want to find new queer-coded K-pop girl group music with lesbian or sapphic themes. Below, I’ve listed all the songs with sapphic vibes that are already in my playlist. If you know of any others, please share them. I love discovering new songs about girls loving girls.

I know not all of these are explicitly sapphic, and some are open to interpretation, but bear with me.

Lesbian (sapphic) songs:

Oh my god, Bloom by i-dle

Heart attack, Girl’s talk, Kiss a Kitty by Chuu (Chuu)

See you in hell, Nail by Yves, Ex Machina, White cat by Yves

Monster by Irene & Seulgi (and the whole Seulrene discography)

Shutdown by Moonbyul

Curve by Sunmi

Velvet by Exid (LE Solo)

Freak by Yuqi (debatable but it’s sapphic for me)

Curiosity, Satellite, Not friends by Loona

Je Ne Sais Quoi by Odd Eye Circle (Artms)

Video game by Heejin

Cotton candy, Confessions by Loossemble

Love is love by jiae

LOUD by Nmixx

(Moonlight sunrise by Twice and 28 reasons by Seulgi are sometimes seen as queer coded)

I never really noticed just how much songs from Loona are here. They’re really the most lesbian Kpop girl group.

Note: I already posted it in Kpop Sapphics AND in kpoppers so it’s kind of a repost of a repost. I didn’t see any rules against reposting so I hope that’s okay.

Rate my tier list and/ or recommend me some groups you think I’d like

It’s only Kpop GGs here because I don’t really listen to boy groups. Two I like though: Stray Kids would be in ULT and XLOV in LOVE.

Need help to get into Twice

Maybe this is a weird question, but I really want to become a fan of TWICE.

I’ve seen so many videos and memes of them over the years that they’ve slowly grown on me. My biggest issue is that I’m usually not a fan of very cute music. I’m not against it, but I tend to prefer darker, more badass concepts. For context, some of my favorite groups are (G)I-DLE, PIXY, Purple Kiss, Stray Kids, and Badvillain. So I’m usually into horror, dark, or edgy concepts, which is obviously pretty different from TWICE’s image. That said, I’ve recently started enjoying some cuter songs. For example, I love Heart Attack by Chuu, and TWICE’s Likey is actually the song that made me seriously consider stanning them.

I’ve checked out some of their newer releases, but songs like Strategy didn’t really click with me.

Some TWICE songs I already like:

  1. Likey
  2. The Feels
  3. Takedown
  4. Stone Cold (Mina)
  5. Chess (Dahyun)

I’d really appreciate recommendations, especially:

  1. TWICE songs with a darker, moodier, or more mature sound
  2. Calmer songs
  3. Songs similar to the ones I listed above
  4. Songs similar to my favourites from Illit and New Jeans

For additional context, I recently got into ILLIT and I also really like NewJeans, so it’s not like I completely dislike brighter concepts.

Some of my favorite songs from those groups:

ILLIT:

  1. Lucky Girl Syndrome
  2. Little Monster
  3. Do the Dance
  4. Not Cute Anymore
  5. Tick-Tack

NewJeans:

  1. ASAP
  2. Cookie
  3. Ditto
  4. How Sweet
  5. New Jeans
  6. Super Shy
  7. ETA

Based on my taste, what TWICE songs, albums, or eras would you recommend?
