22M [M4A] #Canada #NovaScotia Healthcare Worker and Fantasy Nerd in search of The One Ring- I mean a Romantic Partner.

Random Facts:

- Live in Nova Scotia, Canada

- I have fought the IRS and lived.

- About to start a new full-time position working in Long-Term Care as a Personal Care Worker. (Will get my full CCA Licence after I pass the Exam in November!)

- Every single one of my family members can vouch that I am a very handsome young man.

- Big fan of Mike Oldfields Tubular Bells II, as well as Blacklite District, Starset, Muse, Sabaton, Powerwulf, Brothers of Metal, with my more recently having gotten into EDM.

- I also unsurprisingly have a Autism diagnosis, which also explains my interest in Greek, and Norse Mythology, and enjoyment of trains.

- Big Fan of Warhammer 40k (Got into it around 9th Edition. Chaos Space Marines ftw), & D&D (Only ever experience was 5th Edition, first character was a Half-Elven Warlock). Currently really into White Wolfs World of Darkness, having spent some time playing Vampire the Masquerade, and a little bit of Werewolf the Apocalypse.

- Big fan of Fantasy, such as Brandon Sandersons Cosmere, Jim Butchers Dresden Files, and Tolkiens stuff. I also read the Warhammer books. When I get into things, I get....really into them. I do like sci-fi, I've read the Expanse, and Dune, tried to get into Lovecraft but couldn't really vibe with it.

If you vibe with that, and wanna talk, feel free to comment or DM, all are welcome!

I, Auron, Arch-Lich of the Black Plains, have an urgent question!

This is a very time-sensitive question. If one hypothetically bought a magic pill from an Orcish Shaman, behind the tribes meat-curing hut, in order to withstand the might of an Orc Warrioresses loving embrace, but the pills effects have lasted for several hours past what the aforementioned Shaman stated was the time-limit......what would one do? Say this hypothetical individual did not want to admit their error to their Apothecary, nor go to a House of Healing, wouldst that individual be able to just..have their enslaved Alchemists concoct something? Say this individual was unable to find that Orcish Shaman, as his tribe is nomadic, and fucked off and left whilst they slept. What would they do? Should that individual be worried? Again, very time sensitive question.

On an unrelated note, never buy anything from Yorgar Yarn-Eater of the Iron Hip Tribe.

Nova Scotia, as a Fantasy World

Ex: HRM being the Kingdom of Haligon. Yarmouth becoming Yars Mouth, a settlement based around the gargantuan skeleton of a long dead Dragon. The universities becoming cabals of Wizards.

This is just meant as a random thing to spark some creativity and humour on the sub, share your ideas of people and places, legends and lore.

EDIT: For extra clarity, there's no real theme. Just make it fantastical (Think Lord of the Rings, The Witcher, Game of Thrones, etc)

What does the Legion Command Structure look like in 40K?

I know there's the Council of Dark Apostles on Sicarius. Then they have Dark Apostles under them. Im just wondering what it looks like from there? I know being a Chaos Space Marine Legion means structure is going to be subjective, but I'm still curious as to what it might look like.

[WP] The "Goblin King" is in fact an old retired Artificer, and the Castle is powered by a large Goblin Horde, who run on wheels to generate power. Somehow, the old man turned it into a game, and now the Goblins just...do it. They've even made a Leaderboard.

Killteam Obsidian Verdict: Garran of The Flesh Tearers

Brother Garran was among the Primaris Greyshields presented to Chapter Master Gabriel Seth during the uneasy integration of Guilliman's new warriors into the Flesh Tearers. Like many of those warriors, he initially found himself viewed with suspicion by a Chapter that had survived ten millennia of bloodshed without outside aid. Yet Garran distinguished himself almost immediately. Though reportedly descended from a noble bloodline before his ascension to the Adeptus Astartes, he possessed little of the arrogance often associated with such origins. Instead, he embraced the Flesh Tearers' brutal culture with an enthusiasm that surprised even his new brothers. During the final years of the Indomitus Crusade, Garran earned a fearsome reputation as a master of heavy weaponry, often carrying the largest guns available and positioning himself wherever the fighting was thickest. Whether facing heretic armor columns, Ork warbands, or Tyranid swarms, Garran displayed an uncanny ability to remain standing amidst devastation that would have overwhelmed lesser warriors.

What truly set him apart, however, was not his skill with a heavy bolter or missile launcher, but his manner of speech. While many Flesh Tearers favored blunt threats and terse battlefield commands, Garran spoke with surprising eloquence, quoting ancient histories, reciting Imperial epics, and delivering lengthy observations on warfare, honour, and sacrifice. The contrast between his cultured vocabulary and the horrifying destruction he unleashed earned him the nickname "Poet", a title that began as a joke but gradually became a mark of respect. His unusual combination of intelligence, charisma, and battlefield expertise eventually attracted the attention of the Deathwatch, who recognized the value of a warrior capable of both annihilating the enemy and coordinating his brothers amidst the chaos of war. Within his kill-team, Garran serves as the Bombard, laying down overwhelming firepower while offering surprisingly thoughtful counsel between engagements. Though he strives to embody the noblest ideals of the Imperium, the Black Rage still lurks within his blood, and those who know him best understand that beneath the eloquent words and measured wisdom beats the heart of a Flesh Tearer eager to unleash righteous devastation upon the enemies of mankind.

Deathwatch Killteam Obsidian Verdict: Acastus Vane of The Raptors

Brother Acastus Vane began his service as a Greyshield during the opening years of the Indomitus Crusade, one of the countless Primaris Space Marines unleashed to reclaim a galaxy shattered by the Great Rift. Assigned to crusade formations operating far beyond stable supply lines, Vane quickly gained a reputation for surviving missions that should have claimed entire squads. While other warriors earned accolades through acts of valour in open battle, Vane excelled in reconnaissance, target elimination, and the patient gathering of intelligence. He spent years hunting raiders through the void, identifying hidden cult networks, and guiding Imperial offensives with information gathered from deep behind enemy lines. His commanders noted an unusual ability to remain calm amidst disaster, making calculated decisions even when surrounded by confusion and panic. When the crusade's Greyshields were eventually distributed among the Chapters, the Raptors recognized in Vane a warrior whose pragmatism, self-reliance, and methodical approach mirrored their own doctrines.

Within the Raptors, Vane refined those talents into an art. He spent decades mastering reconnaissance warfare, long-range marksmanship, and covert operations, earning distinction during campaigns where quiet skirmishes were what decided conflicts before the first major engagement began. During the cleansing of the Karthax Reach, his actions prevented three Hive Cities from falling to a growing xenos confederation, drawing the attention of the Ordo Xenos. His transfer to the Deathwatch was less a reward than an acknowledgment that his talents were needed on a wider stage.

Within the Long Vigil, Vane became known as a specialist in disruption operations, earning the unofficial title of "Disruptor" among his brothers. Where warriors like Maynard shatter enemy lines through relentless aggression, Vane prefers to dismantle them piece by piece—assassinating synapse creatures, sabotaging command structures, and turning an enemy's own plans against them. Calm, observant, and quietly ruthless, Vane views warfare as a problem to be solved rather than a test of courage. Where his Squadmates prefer the direct approach, either up-close, or afar, Vane prefers to tear it down brick by brick.

Deathwatch Killteam Obsidian Verdict: Maynard of The Red Scorpions

Brother Maynard spent only a handful of years as a Greyshield during the early Indomitus Crusade, but those years left scars deeper than many warriors acquire in a lifetime. He fought across shattered sectors cut off by the Great Rift, witnessing humanity besieged on every front by xenos, heretics, and daemons alike. Again and again he saw worlds fall because commanders hesitated, trusted alien allies, or sought compromise when decisive violence was required. Even among his fellow Greyshields, Maynard earned a reputation for unwavering obedience, relentless determination, and an almost fanatical devotion to the ideals of the Imperium. When the time came for warriors to be assigned to permanent Chapters, his conduct drew the attention of the Red Scorpions, who saw in him a brother whose loyalty and purity of purpose aligned perfectly with their own traditions.

Within the Red Scorpions, those convictions were not tempered but reinforced. Surrounded by warriors who viewed duty as sacred and purity as non-negotiable, Maynard's worldview hardened into certainty. What had once been a young warrior's patriotism became a near-religious belief that mankind alone possessed a rightful claim to the galaxy. By the time he was seconded to the Deathwatch, he had become a formidable crusader whose hatred of the Imperium's enemies was matched only by his devotion to its ideals. Over a decade into the Long Vigil, Maynard is respected as a steadfast veteran and feared for his uncompromising zeal. To him, every xenos empire is a usurpation, every alien culture an obstacle, and every battlefield an opportunity to reclaim a fragment of humanity's stolen birthright in the Emperor's name.

Deathwatch Killteam Obsidian Verdict: Skaros of The Mortifactors

Skaros of The Mortifactors (Marksman): Skaros is the youngest among the Kill-Team, at a mere 103 years of age, and the only member of the Kill-Teama side from his Sergeant to have come to have not been a Greyshield, having originally come from Psoul itself. Skaros himself being one of the first Psoul natives to have been inducted to the Chapter as a Primaris Marine. Originally earmarked for a Eliminator Squad, he was kept as an Intercessor, due to Skaros' compulsion towards waiting for the perfect moment to fire a shot, even willing to risk injury upon himself for it. A compulsion not quite suited for Phobos armour. After managing to secure kill-shots on multiple targets during a mission against traitor Mechanicus, who had taken to worship of the Necrons, Skaros was seconded to the Deathwatch. The hope being his compulsion might be honed, squashed, or at the very least put to better use.

Tell me about your Puttanescas!

Title says it all. I've played Anarch Brujah, I've played Sabbat Ventrue, I've played Cammy Malkavians. Now time to try the Hecata, with the Criminal Puttanesca. I had an idea for a Pursuer PT guy who was a corrupt freelance Journalist in life. His knack for finding things, and getting photos of the right people, is what got the attention of his extended family after he got himself in a bit of trouble. They saw him as useful, and Embraced him. Now I want to hear about yours.

Does the Boiling Water Trick actually work?

I was online, and saw that a person put their brush caked in dry paint in boiling hot water. The paint sloughed off, and the brush was able to be reshaped. Cant remember if he used glue to help with the reshaping or not. Has anyone else done this? Does it work?
