Hei, aloin juuri pohtimaan, että onko korkeakoulussa oikeasti järkeä tai hyötyä?
Sanotaan, että ei ole mitään tiettyä intohimoa työlle tai ammatille, niin onko järkeä vaikka opiskella 4-5 vuotta korkeakoulussa ammattia, jolla tienaa vaikka n. 4-5 tonnia € (esim. insinööri tms) VS olla perusduunari 3000€ palkalla? (varastotyöntekijä yms?)
Mietin vain tuota, kun yleensä tuon opiskeluajan aikana ei voi käydä töissä, eli häviää ainakin osan mahdollisista ansioista. Myös nuo ammatit joihin valmistuu korkeakoulusta, esim. insinööri on hankalia ja vaativia, joten yleensä työ on haastavampaa ja stressaavampaa, kuin vaikka perus työ, jossa ei tarvitse niin paljoa käyttää aivoja.
Onko elämä todella erilaista, jos vertailee ihmistä joka tienaa 3 tuhatta vs korkeakoulutettu 4-5 tuhatta kuukaudessa? Onko tuo palkka 4-5 vuoden opiskelun ja luultavasti hankalamman työtehtävän arvoista?

I’m starting my 4 year studies of ICT in a month and the way AI has been evolving rapidly has got me worried. I know that coding or software deveploment is not the only career path or major, there are others like Cyber Security, IoT, etc etc that could be interesting, but will AI also replace those, especially in 4 years before I even graduate?
Are any of you guys worried about this or do you think the AI hype is overrated and it will not replace every engineer or coder etc?

My mom has driven her car for 26 years now, she bought it brand new and has had that car for nearly 3 decades now. Her car is a manual and a hatchback.
She has been looking at the Model Y Long Range (brand new from Tesla). In our country it has a 0% apr, so no interest in the loan. The car would be around 540€ a month with that 0%. She currently spends around 250€ a month for gasoline with her old car, so the excess expense would be around 300€ a month to have a new car.
She wants a brand new one, no used ones as she wants to have the warranty and not having to deal with any expenses and she would just switch the car when the loan ends, so basically at the 5 year mark.
What do you think, would you buy a brand new car after owning one car for 26 years, if the monthly difference would be around 300€? 250€ for gasoline for an old car vs 540€ for a new car, no gasoline expenses.
Of course there is also just a huge difference in having a new car with all the modern features, excellent safety, speakers, comfort, automatic, no gasoline, autopilot etc etc! So it’s not just a small upgrade or a switch to another car.
