How do you protect pallet/barge from fountain?

What do y'all do to help prevent the fountains from lighting the other cakes?

My local fireworks "outlet" is having a "sale" today...

***I'm honestly having a hard time trying to figure out which one of these prices is more offensive... LOL***

For comparison, the prices I paid an hour or so down the road:

- 10-Ball Candles = $1.60 for 6-pack

- Laser Sabers = $2.75 each

- 5" Shells = $49 for 24 ($62 for ExcalPlat)

- MOAB = $160/case ($80 each)

So... if my math is mathing..****. their "sale" prices are still a...

530% markup on candles

360% markup on sabers

280% markup on shells

220% markup on MOAB

(I've never shopped here. I am sure it is always a 2-for-1 sale, but the prices are still outrageous. I had 15 minutes to kill during my lunch break, couldn't resist the giant sale signs and needed some visco anyways. They don't sell fuse, BTW... LOL)

Shop wholesale.

Avoid TNT.

Never buy Phantom.

Anywhere local to get some pink/red visco? (Nashville, TN)

I ran out of fuse. I thought I had more. 😭

Anywhere local to Nashville, TN that sells fast fuse?

Only screw to pallet enough, or add upper support for stability?

Last year I just screwed the base straight to the pallet, but I only had 8 tubes. This year I have significantly more. LOL

Would screws still be enough, or do I need to figure out some kind of upper or lateral support this time for safety?

(I wish I had time to devise some kind of left/right angle for the outside rows... But I am short on spare hours this week LOL)

Advice on cakes... Solo vs "in-the-show"

I have 15 big cakes in this year's haul, plus 4 packs of shells, bunch of small cakes, and quite a few fountains...

I plan on lighting about half of them off on at a time, and then putting the other half together for a longer show.

My question is, which ones of these "stand on their own" and deserve to be viewed as a solo experience and which one would be better fused between others for a better show?

I was thinking about saving the 1/1 and the NOABs for the end, but not sure what else toix in with them.

I also don't want to let anything particularly "cool" or "good" get lost in the mix. LOL

Here is the list of the bigger stuff:

NAME SIZE COST
Amazing Ballet 1/1 $77.00
Whacky Tobacky 2/1 $69.50
Double Down 2/1 $71.00
Big Mother Clucker 3/1 $31.50
Pro Cake 9 shot 4/1 $28.50
Art Attack 4/1 $29.00
Max Load #3 4/1 $28.50
Max Load #28 4/1 $19.50
Max Load #11 4/1 $21.50
Geometric 4/1 $24.50
Crazy Train 4/1 $24.00
Just Because 4/1 $40.75
Shenanigan's 6/1 $20.75
Angry Pandas 6/1 $20.50
May the 4th Be With You 6/1 $17.00
Unmatched 24 - 5" shells $54.50
Excalibur Platinum 24 - 5" shells $62.00
Quest 24 - 5" shells $49.00
Light Entertainment 24 - 5" shells $57.00

[Request] Would this work? Surely even 2 tons of ice wouldn't do anything of note...

I'm not sure how big the swimming pool is. I would assume between 10,000 and 20,000 gallons.

4,700 pounds of ice is like 500 gallons.

No way this cools a swimming pool down by anything you could actually feel. Not to mention the concrete and sun would negate any miniscule change fairly quickly... Right?

[Suggestion] 5070/9070xt or better, with 32gb of ram... Can it be had for under $1500?

Looking for a new gaming PC. I want to have at least a 5070 or 9070xt, and I need 32gb of ram. *(Not opposed to slap an extra stick in myself if the price is right)*

Anything out there sub-1500?

Uber needs a "6 stars" option. LOL

I feel bad giving any decent driver less than 5 stars because I know if effects their paycheck. But when a guy picks you up and the car is super clean, has bottled water, mints, phone chargers, etc... they deserve a little recognition! Hahahaha

edit: Obviously I tip. But drivers who take extra care deserve some kind of recognition. No?

Help me find a website that searches multiple airports...

Not multi-city flights, but multiple destinations and/or origins.

***Fictional example:***

Say I live in Decatur County, Indiana...

Which is driving distance to 4 major airports:

CVG, IND, SDF, & DAY

Is there a website where I can search flights from any of the 4 airports to somewhere else to find the cheapest flight without doing 4 separate searches?

This becomes even more problematic if I am flexible on the days. If I can fly out either Friday or Saturday, then it take 8 searches... etc...

I know pre-builts are not the most cost effective, but I just want to shit my girlfriend a new PC. What's the best deal out there for $1,000 to $1,200?

I saw this gaming laptop on sale that I liked for $1,200 and that got me thinking, maybe I could get a "real" PC for about the same price?

I'm sure a full size graphics card will runs circle around the laptop models. I don't mind spending a little extra for a monitor.
