Want to get flexible

I have anterior pelvic tilt and almost no outward rotation on my hips. I cannot do a squat without lifting my heels. I have never managed to touch my toes when doing a spike, standing or sitting. At the same time my joints do easily overstretch and I need to actively think about not overstretching my knees when standing.

The anterior pelvic tilt bothers me the most. I read that weak glutes contribute to it. So I tried strength training for glutes. It didn't work. Doing a glute bridge results in tired quadriceps femoris, I don't feel the glutes at all. Same issue on a machine intended for glutes.I must be doing something wrong.

Are there any good exercises you can recommend.

Does anyone else have "backwards dysphoria"?

So what other trans people told me about body dysphoria matches this example: I am a woman and my body missing boobs is inherently wrong. Something is missing. I want to change that.

What I feel about my body is more like: I like my body the way it is. But society sees my boobs and thinks I am a woman. This isn't true. Now I don't like having boobs anymore.

It's hard to communicate but getting body dysphoria only because of society's perception of certain gendered body parts instead of an inherent wrongness somehow feels "lesser". And I fear that I might not be taken seriously because of it.

Wondering about timeline for residency permit

I got approved for an exchange programme at Uppsala Universitet. Since I am a Swiss citizen with right of movement, I am allowed to come to Sweden and start studying/working even before the paperwork is done. But I am wondering how it would be for someone who doesn't have that right.

Application at Uppsala Universitet is from 15. September to 15. Oktober. I can apply for housing at the same time.

Housing decision will be made in late November.

I will get my certificate of enrollment in early December.

Only then can I apply for residency permit since I need the certificate of enrollment and an address in Sweden for that.

Terms start in mid January. That's roughly one month after the earliest possibility of applying for residency permit. With wait times of about 4 months for a decision, how should that work?

How's the software?

Currently I am using a Samsung S26 Ultra and I am unhappy with it. It's being too big and I don't like OneUI. Therefore I am thinking about getting something else. Since my phone is the only camera I have, I thought about a Pixel 11 Pro since Pixels always get good reviews for their cameras, but someone recommended me the Xperia 1 VIII.

I already have a Pixel 9a as a secondary phone and I like the experience. How does Xperia's software compare to Pixels and Samsung's OneUI? Since the Xperia costs quite a lot, I would like to know what I get beforehand.

Camera is important to me

Right now I have a Samsung S26 Ultra. There are several things I don't like about it:

*it's too big *I cannot get to like OneUI *I use the 3x zoom lens a lot which is the weakest
one of the lenses

I only got it because the Pixel 9 Pro I had before had a defect that needed to be repaired and I needed another phone in the meantime. But then the repair didn't go as expected and in the end I kept the S26U.

But as I don't like it, I am looking for something else. Phones I am considering are:

*Pixel 11 Pro: nicely small, nice software, cameras will be great surely, but no optical 3x zoom which I use a lot

*Nothing Phone 3: Has an optical 3x zoom but camera reviews are mixed, Software looks interesting, like the design and the glyphs, might be a bit too big still

Opinions on those phones? Are there other great options with remarkable cameras, not too big, OS not overblown and minimum of 5 years of software support? Price doesn't matter that much. No need for a high end processor. I don't do games on my phone. Should be available in Europe.

Keine Videogames. Besonders schnell muss es also nicht sein. Aber zuverlässigen Empfang möchte ich schon.

SIM locks itself

My uncle uses is S25 very rarely. Therefore he doesn't unlock it for days at a time. But somehow the SIM locks itself as well once a week. My mother sees it because WhatsApp messages don't show the two ✔️✔️ anymore.

I already disabled the automatic restart. So what could cause the SIM to lock itself with such regularity? Is there some other Samsung specific setting that causes the SIM to be locked when the phone doesn't get used?

Issue with finding shorts

I am trying to find masculine looking (jeans) shorts that fit estrogen formed but and thights. I tried Levi's 501 original shorts. But despite them being straight cut, they fit skin tight on my legs. This makes them look like female shorts.

But I also don't want to go for the popular baggy jorts style. I wish for a polished adult look and this style get worn by teenagers so much.

Photographic styles

My mother got an iPhone 17 pro to replace her old iPhone 14 pro. She's unhappy with the pictures because they aren't as oversaturated anymore since Apple adjusted their cameras to take more natural colours. She just wants vivid colours and thinks that the natural look is a step back.

I use Android so I am not that versed in things iPhone but I know there are photographic styles to adjust the way the camera puts colour in the pictures. Which style would work best to get the oversaturated colours back?

Never got a HRV Status

I got my Venu 4 in January. Since then the HRV has always been labeled as "poor". I have no baseline, just seven months of red triangles. See picture of the last four weeks as reference. In the overview, it says "No Status" under HRV.

What can I do to change this? Is my HRV so bad the algorithm doesn't accept it as my baseline?

What to do

My leather slippers got wet in the rain yesterday. They don't feel wet anymore but there's a stain where they were wet. What should I do now?

Does a second toner work?

I bleached my hair and then used a toner for ash blonde. But the colour I have now is still too "sunny" for my taste. I would like it to be "ashier". Can I do a second round of toner?

I tried to attach a picture but my camera adjusts the tone wrongly, making my hair colour looking less yellow than it is.

Strange issue with mobile service in Scotland

iPhone 17 Pro Max with a Swiss SIM card and a mobile plan that covers all of Europe including UK somehow cannot connect to a single mobile service in Edinburgh.

We tried everything the internet had to offer for troubleshooting:

\- removing and again putting in the SIM card

\- resetting the connectivity settings

\- trying to select the mobile service manually instead of automatically

The mobile plan is set so that 50 CHF can be used abroad. So it should not block the connection. But the phone shows no mobile service. It only shows the emergency satellite connection.

What else could we do? It worked a day ago in Switzerland and now just doesn't anymore.

Could this labret give a wrong impression?

This is a titanium labret intended to be worn on a flat. I am unsure if the design of the stud could be mistaken for Nazi insignia because of the arrangement of the bones below the skull. On the other hand pirate flags in movies use similar depictions of skulls. What do you think?

I have perfectly new electric waste

Just got myself a pair of WF-1000XM5. Then lost one bud after only a week. It fell off my ear and on a railway track. Replacement buds are available online, but the only Sony approved center in my country that could link the replacement bud with my remaining one and the charging case told me that doing so would cost way more than just getting new ones. That's so sad. Now I have to throw away a perfectly fine brand new bud and charging case because with one bud missing I cannot use them anymore.

How to get the saline to the right place

I got a septum piercing yesterday. The piercer gave me a saline spray, but I struggle with using it. When I spray upwards into my nostril, I am unsure that it gets to the piercing. Is there some technique to it?

Reference Letter

Also hier die Fragen:

  1. Stimmt die Einschätzung meiner Mutter überhaupt?
