Would you wear this shirt ?

Would you wear this shirt ?

Given the fallout between AFI and Nitro, their refusal to promote them sufficiently and then dump the compilation in the shadow of STS ? Davey makes but a thin secret of his dislike for Dexter.

ive only worn it once or twice anyway, just ironing my black t shirts today

Walter breaks bad once, gets his payout from ChillyPBoi but then goes to work for Greymatter.

Yeah, again with the scenarios.

Immediate financial concerns are addressed but Walter decides the risk is too high and decides it's best for the safety of his family to see what Greymatter has to offer. He sits down 1-1 w/ Elliot and explains that he must work for his compensation package.

Walter is making a healthy six figure salary, he's on the company healthcare program and all is well. The taxable income adds rooms and bathrooms to the White's house, Skylar gets a new Durango Hemi R\T, Junior proudly keeps his father' namesake, and the family quickly matches the Schraders in comfort.

But Walt isnt the best fit at Greymatter. He contributes but doesn't always appeal to the young, sharp talent and takes on a habit of lecturing instead of cooperating. As he makes key discoveries and projects are often shuttled off to other teams for development. Murmurs of nepotism undermine his credibility at times but really it's his arrogance, condescension and ego which get in the way. To further muddy the waters, an awkward tension between Gretchen and Walter strains Elliot at times and this is even noticed by some of his senior executives. Among these is a sharp EVP played by Steve Buscemi who never misses an opportunity to make irritating passive aggressive comments towards Walter.

Pinkman has been blowing up his phone, sneaking around the back and otherwise pestering an exasperated but wistful Walter to cook some more of that "glass grade" scante he desperately craves. Pinkyboy is also trying to not get evicted from his aunt's house and needs to come up with some serious cheddar to secure it.

Anyway I'll skip the preamble, what happens next?

Is there any advantage to buying at the Cartier at CDG airport?

I've got my eye on an automatic Franciase (not so sure right now with the recent market wipeout, however).

I should be on a short work trip next month and passing through CDG, is there any incentive to buying here (duty free, exchange rate)? Obviously I won't be packing several grand in cash so I'll be paying w/ a credit card.

I'd really like to shop the store in Ginza because service and treatment even as a scruffy window shopping traveller was positively memorable but I don't know when I'll be out that way in the forseeable future.

Chronograph is my daily, I want another Francaise !

Found in the street I want to care for it

If it’s not too difficult or risky to the welfare of the animal what can I do to get started for him ?

EDIT- thanks for the advice I’ll put a sign up tonight identifying it a sul it’s a small end of the neighborhood so hopefully the owner isn’t far.

you are right, I am only 110 lb and Don’t need such a heavy animal in my yard

any advice on how to care for him in the interim would be appreciated

EDIT 2 - Signs are up, about to make an alert via Ring app. I just learned some tortoises can climb so I'll better secure my deck exit with a sheet of wood or something like that wtf did I get myself into here

The Eater

So one nice thing about my company is sometimes leftovers from meetings will go to the breakroom from which one can grab a random snack.

Well there's a guy in the warehouse who has this uncanny ability to intercept anyone else seeking such a snack. He's like 6.8 feet tall, lean, athletic, super fast and eats everything and for what is left he violently wraps up in foil and hides in his car.

It's been a real downer ever since he joined the company and sharpened his abilities to exploit leftovers, he will literally get right in front of someone taking food and moves with a swagger upon securing his spoils. He stares down anyone who enteres the breakroom while he absconds with the goodies. He's also popular with some the ladies around the office.

I had a nightmare that he ate part of my house, my gardens (all lillies, decorative grasses and flowers btw) and my lego collection.

Ending Ferrari's streak Toyota won 24 Hours of LeMans this past weekend.

While we all know and love toyota for it's sea of corollas, camrys and RAV4 Hybrids; this isn't a huge surprise, as Toyota has been a strong contender in LeMans since the 90s and they are no stranger to tragedies and mishaps there (GT One, TS 020, sigh).

And in a funny twist BMW won position #2 (Toyota caped the podium off by also winning position #3) in an unintentional reflection to the departed GR Supra, a partnership b/w Toyota and BMW.

"I swear to god." .... "SWEAR TO ME. "

I love Bale's delivery here. God can't do a damn thing to Flass, Batman certainly can and does. That distinction is made painfully clear.

Was Batman implying that his is on par with god here?

Weirdest Davey fans you’ve known ?

I know a lot of fans of a lot of bands but theres something extra special about some AFI fans (and Tool, possibly Hozier but that’s for a different sub)

I once knew a girl, an aspiring spiritual healer no less, who swore that because her and Davey were born in the same month that they had what can only be described as this twin-flames like connection and that she saw pain in his eyes that nobody else did. In an extended conversation they went on to proclaim that they could preform a ”spiritual reading” upon Davey which could heal this pain they were projecting upon him and even actually free the man from all of his creepy toxic fans !!

at that moment I wished for a software glitch to temporarily lock my iPhone thereby relieving me of immediate obligation to attempt any kind of neutral response to this offensive absurdity

whats your stories ?

Does the cut fresh fruit have added sugar?

Panera's cut fresh fruit is always sweet, is a sugar solution added to it so it's always so?

AFI bodies era logo w/ GT Buzz

I started at GA Tech the year STS was released, but discovered 99x the following year when I got my first vehicle. AFI soon followed. The Leaving Song Part 2 pretty much captured how I felt there until I finally graduated (late).

I'm really not all that big a fan of Bodies but like that AFI logo the most lol.

Decemberunderground is a time and a place. It is where the cold can huddle together in darkness and isolation.

I've always found Davey's description of this album to be subliminally welcoming and eerily haunting; a mysterious contradiction yet weary invitation for unity. I envision a vast series of cold caverns with small spaces for tired individuals, exhausted from a world that doesn't make sense or accept them, just quietly sitting on the rugged stone floors trying to catch a silent break.

On the 20th anniversary of this work, what's your interpretation of these lines?

Story of a low BMI who added 2 eggs per morning for a major gain in LDL

Here's my backstory : I'm pretty obsessed with improving my health, so no ultra processed rubbish, no added sugar, all meals are steamed brocolli+carrots+brussel sprouts/roasted chicken breast/small amount of white rice/lots of blueberries+grapes+bananas+strawberries. I eat an huge amount of fruit and intend on increasing my vegetable intake.

I'm 42M 5 ft / 7 in - always maintained a weight below 128 lb, when I quit all of the junk food/candy/bread and weight dropped to 112 lb and no amount of eating the above increases it.

I also work out 6 days a week between calisthenics/weights/elliptical/pullups always walking funny because I'm sore lol. I'm in better physical shape at my age than any other point in life.

So back in December 2025 in the midst of the holidays:

HDL=63 Trigly=56 LDL=112

And Now ...

HDL=63 Trigly=48 LDL=165 Boom!

No specific medication for cholesterol here. The only change : 3 months ago I switched from soaked sprouted oatmeal+fresh fruit at breakfast to 2 eggs + fresh fruit. Poached eggs with a small drop of olive oil. I've felt so great with this change, no more mid day bloating and diarrhea, dramatically better satiation, improved morning energy, slightly better focus and I just looked forward to those eggs.

I'll be reviewing this with my doc soon, he knows about the switch to eggs.

Back in 2024, I was eating 3-4 cans of olive oil sardines a week, I was even drinking the oil to get more calories: my cholesterol shot up similarly. I don't know if this can be reintroduced back to my diet (maybe water packed sardines?).

I really don't want to loose those eggs, but I also suspect I'm part of that 20-30% of the population who's hypersensitive to dietary cholesterol.

It may be worth noting I have pretty awful insomnia, 5-6 hours of poor sleep, waking up at night to use the restroom, nodding off a lot during the day and I just feel mostly dismal. Yesterday I added Magnesium Glycinate, hopefully this doesn't affect digestion.

Thanks for reading all of this, I'd very much welcome advice as I try to find some lifestyle improvements.

Blood Pressure = 100/70 and has been consistent over the last few years.
