Anyone who has lived in Social Apartments (shared house)?

I’m an incoming student next year and will be attending a school where most are 18-20 year olds.

Since I’ll be 26 by then, I would rather make friends with people older than 21 (and vice versa for them). I’ll probably be an ”old” woman to them 😬

Thus, I don’t wanna live in the school’s dorms. But I also don’t want my own apartment for the first year since I will start feeling alone in a new big city.

I found out about Social Apartments, and wonder if people here have experience living there? Did you get friends? Was it still reasonably clean?

Asked for dark brown (like the pic shown), got black. Is it gonna get lighter after washing it?

I’m a bit worried. Is it gonna get lighter after washing it? Should I use clarifying? It’s very black!

Should I live in dorms or in my own apartment for the first semester?

I’ll be one of the older students (mid-20s) when I enter next semester. I’ve already gone to school before and lived in dorms, and I was planning to live in my own apartment until now. I’m eligible to apply for a housing waiver due to my age.

One of my main issues with dorms is that people don’t tend to clean common areas well (especially when they’re younger). Another issue is that I want my boyfriend and friends to visit and live at my place for free, which they can’t if I live in a dorm.

However, the catch is that I get to know a lot of students if I stay in a dorm for my first semester. I once also lived in an apartment while studying, and found myself missing out on tons on activities for not living in the dorms.

My idea is to get an apartment for my second semester, but should I stay in a dorm for my first semester?

How do I (F25) become a better at sex with my boyfriend (M23)?

I lost my virginity this year at 25 to my lovely boyfriend, which also makes this my first serious relationship as well.

I feel so awkward each time we have sex, and always am so conscious of myself and my body. I think this contributes to me drying out minutes later. Still doesn’t feel good when we use lots of lube and try to re-apply. And no, I’m not dehydrated.

I’ve also lost lots of weight and it’s still on-going, so I hate the way my body looks at the moment. If I don’t feel comfortable with myself, how am I supposed to be comfortable with him seeing me? We always do it in the dark as well due to that. It doesn’t help that I had vaginismus all my life until I cured it 2 years ago, so we need some foreplay to not have me be in pain.

I’ve bought a cream that will hopefully make me less dry, and I’ve already gone tons of therapy. I don’t only wanna learn how to pleasure him and try lots of different things, but I also wanna enjoy sex myself. He really tries, and he never pressures me.

How did you lot get over your insecurities and start enjoying sex with your partner? How do I learn in general to get better at sex?

Why do I dry out immediately during sex?

I’m 25 and recently lost my virginity, used to have extreme vaginismus that I cured 1-2 years ago.

I don’t feel any pain except for a little when my boyfriend first tries to insert (slow), and we do foreplay before all of that to open my girlie up. During the act itself, I don’t feel any pain.

However, I get dry after like 5 minutes and it starts hurting. And yes, we use lots of lube already and we always re-apply. Still hurts.

It already sucks enough that I always have to use lube because mine can’t get wet enough on its’ own, but sucks even more when it gets really dry after a few minutes and starts hurting even though we re-apply lube.

No, I’m not dehydrated. I drink tons of water. Any advice?

All sparpengar försvann.

What are my best chances to eventually move to the US?

Except for marriage and green card lottery (latter isn’t even available currently). I’m from Sweden and I wanna leave for various reasons ASAP!

My dream would be to move to NY eventually, but so is everyone else’s dream haha. I’ve been to NYC a few times and it’s my most favourite city in the world. I have friends there, and my best friend is moving there as well next year (fiancée visa)! I also like the fact that there’s a large Swedish community living there in case I would ever miss home.

Either way, I’m soon attending an American college in East-Asia to get my “business” degree. I’m in my mid 20s so I’m re-entering college again. My plan is to try for internships over summers in NY (or the US in general) while living at friends’ places to minimise the costs, and also network with my American fellows in college.

My best chances would probably be to get some work experience in my degree after graduation in Europe or East-Asia, get a work visa in a place in nowhere in the US, and then eventually move to NY from there. What companies give out most work visas to international people? What tips do you all have?

Everyone who has done 5-day water fast, did you re-gain?

Seems that most lose 10-15 lbs. I’m fine with re-gaining 2-5 lbs as it feels a natural part of the process when you start eating again, but wouldn’t wanna gain most of it back.

Everyone who has done 5-day water fast and started eating moderately afterwards, how much did you re-gain? And did you exercise while fasting?

Transferering from TUJ to Temple as an international student?

From Europe and got into TUJ this incoming spring, am gonna study “International Business”! Due to certain reasons, I would love to study in the US for a bit. Either as a transfer student or just for a semester.

What would be my chances of transferring to Temple or studying a semester there as an international student with some financial aid needs?

And if there would be any chance of me attending Temple, would it be reasonable to live in South Jersey? Are there lots of students who do so? I’ve stayed in NJ for a month in the past, but it was in the Newark area so I have no idea how South Jersey is.

I would just love to be a bit closer to my friends who are all in NY🥸

What are my chances of transferring as an international at an American college?

Context: International student from Europe that’s about to attend an American college in Tokyo in January. Gonna be studying “International Business”!

Due to certain circumstances, I might transfer second or third year and try for an American college in the US instead.

What would be my chances of transferring as an international student that’s already attending an American college? And on top of that, I would want financial aid as well? 🥸

Best breast augmentation places that make them look natural?

My breasts are already C-cup and I want my implants to be C-cup as well. I just want them to feel firm and look natural, that’s my biggest reason for this surgery.

The reason for this is that I had a big weight loss that made my skin loose, so I had to have breast reduction as well as a breast-lift. While I’m glad with the decision, I realised my breasts still don’t feel firm obviously and my biggest regret is not adding implants along with everything.

What are the best places for natural looking ones?

What positions worked best for you and your partner?

I was a virgin until a moment ago haha. Found out I had vaginismus in my mid-teens (25 today), and started curing it 4 years ago. Managed to beat most of it after a long time of dilators and pelvic floor exercises/yoga.

Recently started seeing this wonderful guy and I finally had my first time. We both learned there and then that missionary is definitely not a thing for me unfortunately. I wanted to be more intimate with my partner in the beginning of our sex-life due to me being green to all of this, but it’s all good.

Either way, we found out that the “happy baby pose” works so far. We’ll continue to experiment more positions obviously.

What positions worked best for you all, especially if missionary wasn’t a thing for you either? 😊

Transferring to an American public university as an international student, does it work?

Hello, I’m from Europe, 25, and am about to study 4 years at an American college in Tokyo soon! The degree will be “International Business”. While I’ve been to Japan before and love it, I’m still not entirely sure about staying there for 4 entire years.

I’ve been to NYC a few times, and my dream has always been to at least live there for a year or two. I might make the move the third year.

My plan was to either to transfer to public school for lower costs (such as CUNY for example), or go for a private one and hope for full-aid. The latter alternative is much more less likely, so I’ll be prioritising mainly public schools first obviously.

Anyone with similar experiences? Is there any possibility since I’m already gonna study at an American college? Are there even chances for me as it’s a transfer and I’m not American?

About to have sex for the first time, what to expect and do with this condition?

Well, yall’s lady is about to get laid.

As a virgin with vaginismus at 25, it’s definitely making me a little nervous for how to approach our first time. I wanna wait it out just a little just to make sure that my body is ready and that he’s the right man. My condition kinda comes from some trauma from when I was younger.

He’s willing to wait and is aware of my vaginismus. He took it very well and even if he didn’t, I would have obviously dumped his ass on the spot. He’s very gentle and kind.

But how the hell do I relax into our first time so that my body doesn’t immediately shut down on him? My vaginismus is about 70-80% cured, so I’m scared of it all returning if anything goes wrong. It has been several years of trying to cure it. We’ve been close a few times before I had the talk about my condition, and I was a nerve-wrack even then.

Should I smoke some goddamn weed? What are y’all’s tips?

Have you all experienced cliques at your work?

Obviously everyone has at some point, but how common has it been for you?

This is the first time I struggle making any friends because of the cliques that formed from day 1 here. I kinda feel alone, even though I’ve initiated and tried many times. Can’t really force it.

Don’t get me wrong, I have been in friend groups before. To be fair, not everyone at work were included all the time. But we made sure to invite them and let them know that they can hang out with us.

This friend group at my current work just immediately closed themselves off on day 1 and didn’t invite anyone else. I always love to go out and have fun, but I can’t find any other friends outside of work due to currently working in a small town.

Honestly, I just wanna feel better about myself if some of you lot can currently relate to this issue. How do I cope with this boredom for 2 more months? 😅

Seasonal work in fall (Europe), where do I start?

Hello! So I live in the EU, so it shouldn’t be much of a problem to work in EU-states.

I’m currently doing seasonal work, but as you all know, it dies down in fall before it gets active again during winter. I just need work from September to December as I’ll start studying in January 2027.

Any seasonal work during those months? Some sites you lot can recommend? I’m kinda homeless so I’m in a need of work during those seasons haha.

And yes, I’ve done Workaway and Worldpackers before. I need the money, so I can’t volunteer for free 😅

No friends.. what to do?

Well, ish. For context: we’re three 25 year olds (including me), and three 21-22 year olds. Two guys and four girls. I’m kinda seeing one of the guys, and we were friends first (and still are). Hence the “ish”.

Either way, I’ve never struggled making any friends before. This is my second seasonal work only, but I’ve volunteered plenty via Workaway and Worldpackers in the past. Always found a group of friends to have fun with.

Two of the younger girls are very social and go out lots, but never invite me on anything. I’ve invited them out before, but they’ve always had excuses. They’ve also invited sometimes some of the others, but excluded me for some reason. The other 25 year old girl isn’t very social and likes to be on her own. The guys never like to initiate anything, but do love to go out when we hang out as a group.

The group hangouts are always nice, but happen rarely. I can’t really force the younger girls to hang out with me either.

While I love hanging out with the guy I’m seeing currently, I also wanna have friends outside of it. I’m missing the girl energy and I feel kinda lonely in a way. He’s also the only one who doesn’t live here, so I don’t always see him.

What would you all recommend I do? We live in a small town, so there isn’t much to do here haha.
