Why Mont Cascade has a sign saying trespassing to hike and also their trails have no signage for hikers?

Of course we saw 3 families hiking and we followed Maps.me to the 2 view points and back but I thought I go back with a colored string etc and mark the trail voluntarily.

The views are magnificent all seasons so I don't understand why the management is not bothered at all. We aren't asking for cleaning the trail but just simple signage. Can I do it myself?

Our cat passed away and currently not going to get another one. We have lots of stuff. Food, items, litter boxes, litter bags, etc. I'd like to donate them to a non-profit / shelter working for outdoor/homeless cat.

Hello. I just purchased a 2024 Prius Prime from a Hyundai dealer in Montreal (took months of search to find a reasonable price, color, etc).

It has 1 recall (rear door sensor might open 😆). Where do I take it? Can I just call any and make an appointment? It should be free.

Update: Thank you everyone. Since the car is 2 years old with 21K km, I decided to purchase the used one and save the $10,250. I will pay it using $20K LoC from Tangerine Prime Rate 4.45% and $15K cash plus max they allow $2K CC (WS for 2%). Will pay off the LoC within 3 months hopefully so won't accumulate much interest. 😉

Hi. As the title. Which one? Both SE and price in Canadian Dollar.

The used one comes with extended warranty until April 2029 including Oil change. One owner a senior man who drives 5K around the city and maintains it well. He is replacing it with a full electric car.

If it matters, the car is Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid. Very good resale value but I plan to keep it until it falls apart or my use case changes.

For the used, I pay with LoC with 4.45% rate. For the new one, I use Toyota's 3.69% rate. Will pay them both off in 1 year.

I am supposed to go see it tomorrow but kind of undecided yet. Help me.

Well, basically thinking of ~ 20K km annually. 50-50. The city 50 will be covered by the battery.

My delimma is if Hyundai can now compete with Toyota in terms of less headache, maintenance, reliability, long-term expenses, etc etc. If so, I will buy this as it will be a lot more comfortable for the family and looks a lot neater and comfier for longer roadtrips.

Hello. After weeks of search, I finally found a reasonably prices Prius, 500 km away from me.

2025 Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid SE FWD

19K km ~ 12000 miles

How much would you pay for it? I negotiated for $33,500 CAD ($24,170 USD) plus tax.

I checked Carfax. It is clean. No accident. but also does not show any maintenance/service. The only thing it shows is tire changed at 18K km. I am waiting for explanation on this.

The car does NOT come with Lvl2 charger or extra (winter) set of tires

Please help me decide. Plan to pull the trigger on Monday.

What's your L/100km or MPG on highway please? Does it really give you 3.5L/100km (67 MPG) assuming going 100-110 kph (62-68 mph)?

Hi. I am planning to purchase a used car and would like to finance it. I have Tangerine and Wealthsimple LoC for 4.45% (Prime Rate). If I buy new, I can get better rate but used cars rates at dealers I checked are crazy high. Banks are even worse (checked online).

My credit score is 840 at TransUnion.

Any idea? I do not bank with any bank.

Hello, I started planning a family trip for Summer 2027 (~ 2 months). Plan is to drive in an SUV (not a camper) from Canada to Panama City. I have been to all of the countries in the continent so familiar with the vibe and general security of Central America.

However, I never did a drive myself for such a long journey. Anyone here done such a trip recently and has any tips/tricks?

And of couse this is a RT. The area is not wide and not many good roads so limited on using different return path.

If it matters, the car is a Mazda CX-5 (Mid-size SUV) in case in matters for the roads.

Things to avoid. Areas to avoid. I usually do last min hotel booking which shouldn't be an issue in Central America (maybe except CR due to high tourism).
