Why did Captain America lose his basic attack shield bounce from the Beta and the shield bounce of Voltaic Union from Season 0
The American flag has *50 stars and *13 stripes (*7 red stripes and *6 white stripes), take note as we'll use these numbers. I'm not American nor live in the US but I'm such a huge fan of Captain America's round shield and shield moves.
^(*the abbreviation for meters per second is m/s)
Cap's basic attack shield throws move so slow at 60m/s projectile speed. If you don't know what it is, you punch someone twice and you'll get 4 shield throws that do the same 45 damage like his melee punch.
For comparison, Magneto's basic attack moves at 80m/s projectile speed and he's already considered slow.
In the Beta before Season 0, Cap's basic attack shield throws bounce once and I remember using Voltaic Union in Season 0 it also bounces. Note that it doesn't do a second bounce to a foe already hit like Moon Knight's moon blades.
Captain America default stats:
- his punches deal 45 damage
- his basic attack shield throw also deals 45 damage and moves at 60m/s projectile speed
- why is the shield throw travel speed slow when it needs to return first before you can do another shield throw?
Captain America's nigh indestructible shield should at least:
- increase his basic attack shield throw damage by 5 so 45 damage + 5 damage = *50 damage
- becomes 2 shield throws instead of 4 shield throws but increase its projectile speed to 70m/s
- bounces to a nearby enemy once but the bounce deals 45 damage (like his melee punch)
- increase the duration from 5s to *6s and Cap's melee each punch should renew the duration instead of it going to waste (the shield throw count will still get used and not renewed)
- push with Liberty Rush and not get body blocked by puny Bruce Banner or a random Rocket Raccoon who happens to dash in front of Cap
Captain America's team-ups:
- What is wrong with Bucky's team-up? The jump speed to an ally is sluggishly slow, please add +20m/s to its jump speed. Enhanced version also adds +20 bonus health to the area bonus.
- Thor's team-up is extremely weak, let Thor cook with his Thor Force, imbues Cap's shield and armor with the lightning of the god of thunder:
- becomes *6 shield throws that deal 55 damage with a duration of *13s
- obviously if all *6 shield throws are spent, the team-up is gone
- bounces to a nearby enemy once but the bounce deals *50 damage
- projectile speed is increased to 80m/s like Vibranium Energy Saw (shield throw ability) as it's been augmented with the lightning of Thor Force
- if you don't know this, when Thor activates his Awakening Rune near an enemy, his area lightning actually deals 15 damage per second. When Cap activates his Thor team-up, you can see a cool lightning burst VFX out of Cap's armor, let this deal 15 damage once on activation (like Storm's goddess boost activation in her lightning stance).
- Thor's Enhanced team-up:
- add a mutual ability, Mjolnir shockwave or Mjolnir baseball shield hit shown in the Age of Ultron film
- bounce damage fall off removed, the bounce still deals 55 damage
- on activation, Cap gains *7 green health regeneration per second even when receiving damage and *6% damage reduction even if he spent all *6 shield throws, the team-up will only be gone when the 13s duration ends
Team-ups gave supports new powerful abilities like CnD frozen form (she has 2 escapes now from Magneto's dunk) and that frozen form enhanced with a Luna Snow teammate legit outheals a full Storm Ult when Luna Snow also continues healing and withing the area of CnD.
P.S. Juggernaut is very different from the Thing, he can use magic with his knuckle dusters and head dash, he is agile enough to do kicks in the pixelated fighting games, he can even tore open the fabric of space-time.
Even the old 2005 X-men Legends 2 game has Juggernaut with magic sigils. If you are creative enough you can refer to Dr. Strange, Magik, Scarlet Witch, Black Cat and the Hood for Juggernaut abilities. Magic symbols on the ground, floating alchemy signs or portal punch impact, you get the gist.
