Does adding a schedule A letter when not requested help?

One federal worker told me yes, but he has never hired anyone. Just helped with the job description on usajobs that had to be canceled since late 2024 hiring freeze. That posting will be up again as no major hiring freeze now. Someone who used to do quite a bit of hiring for GS12+ wasn’t sure as only one total person had submitted schedule A and I’ve met that person in real life. Never been a federal worker, so GS7 suits me the best as the highest possible GS realistically. My schedule A letter is dated in 2024, and I haven’t contacted the psychologist this year(2026) but she did say employers could contact her though none have. Psychologist wrote my letter. I put it more now when not asked me and if I remember. Thanks in advance.
-Just trying to land a federal job regardless of schedule A is asked or not

How do I make whey protein powder less chunky in a smoothie?

I didn’t know where to ask sorry. I found a protein powder that I like taste wise. It’s whey protein powder with Ghirardelli chocolate. I have a blender and there is a liquify option. I try to use whatever fruit I have at home to mix like banana. I always have half and half or creamer since I drink coffee with cream. Smoothie/shake since not much different term wise. Thanks

Cheap Asian soup ideas for $1-2 a serving

You can buy the Bao Long soup cubes or similar brand cubes for $0.99 a tiny box of 4 cubes. You only need 2 cubes max with water unless big family. Instructions on the tiny box. After that you add your vegetable of choice and noodles unless it’s chicken Ragu, beef stew, etc. Any vermicelli noodles will do unless you are making pho. Chicken can sometimes be cheap protein of choice since it can work with a lot of cubes but beef stew of course. Lettuce or bean sprouts can work for vegetable. The Asian grocery store sells this and if you don’t have it then Amazon. Bao Long is a brand name. You can get 2-3 meals out of the broth. Just soup cube, noodle if needed, protein of choice and vegetable of choice. No extra ingredients beyond that unless you want to adjust broth with salt.

Example recipe:
-Beef stew cube
-beef
-carrots
-water
~Cook all of that until tender in a pot.

What happens at an OAB appointment with a urologist?

I am a young woman. I couldn’t get Urogynecologist due to wait time being long to see one. All I know is the female urologist has good reviews. I always have water in my car if that helps. The only medication I’m on is the iud since I don’t stick to taking vitamins daily. Anything helps thanks.

Good Urogynecologist/ urologist in DC?

I called Medstar and they don’t have any availability for Urogynecology until mid July. I am not waiting that long to see a doctor. I am okay with a urologist as long as they are can handle female urology problems. Just a good doctor regardless of gender and no long waits. Online booking is preferred but not required since not many places do that. I am a young woman if that matters. Outside of DC is fine too if no DC available. I’m okay with resident doctor. Thank you.
Update:I will be looking into all options mentioned. No idea which one first over the other. I will be avoiding Mary as mentioned.

Best free website to score resume to job description?

It’s mainly for posting on usajobs while other platforms are a backup. I’ve used two different websites and it gave me a resume score of 92. One website called CVflow app gave me a 92 score out of 100 based on the usajobs link I gave. Job scan gave me a low match to the job description when part of the low score was no summary on resume. The posting had to be canceled due to hiring freeze back in 2024 but will be up again soon. I want it to be free so I fix the resume myself with only a tiny bit of guidance if offered. I’ve worked for almost 5 years outside of college while I used two years work during college on my resume to help further my score plus still keep 2 page max for usajobs. Thanks in advance.

Best roast chicken or crispy pork over rice Chinese?

Had it in NYC Chinatown and loved it. The portion wasn’t big. I went to a place where I could pick two or three meats with rice. Crispy pork is crispy pork belly. Roast chicken can be soy sauce chicken, ginger scallion, etc. Anywhere in nova. Willing to travel to DC but nova first.

Is $2.99 a lb for ground beef the cheapest deal in NYC right now?

I saw this deal at Chinatown Supermarket of Manhattan. East Broadway. They said no photos allowed so I couldn’t take a photo. The ground pork for $1.99 a lb was there too and it looked fatty. I couldn’t tell the lean for the ground beef since it wasn’t listed. I saw much higher prices around lower manhattan.

I was paying card at a restaurant. They were having a buffet at the time but I chose to do order off menu as I knew I couldn’t eat too much for breakfast. My tip options were 3%,5%, 7% or custom after tapping with card. I’ve never seen it this cheap. The lowest tip suggestions I’ve seen at buffet is 10% and 15% but Chinese ones and this wasn’t a Chinese place. Latin American buffet. I’ve just mainly been to Chinese ones and 1-2 Indian with family so I know what suggested tip has said. I tipped ~25% pre tax in cash due to cheap bill. My server felt like a regular server unlike the Buffett servers I’ve had. This is NYC. This is not normal I’m assuming right?
Updates: Only paid tax and no other fees. I calculated my bill in advance so I could tell.

It can be in other parts of NYC too like upper manhattan, midtown, etc. I don’t need a cart service. I tried searching but haven’t found much besides a buffets with a bit of dim sum options.

Robot vacuum one. It’s on sale for $59.00 at a Walmart not too far from me. Original price is $99. Before I travel to buy. I want a more affordable one but not crappy. Thanks

With our without meat doesn’t matter. Nearby neighborhoods are fine too. They may also be called rice rolls. I’ve just known for it being a dim sum dish. I’m Vietnamese so my family has called it banh cuon to Chinese Vietnamese servers.

I applied to a job and I was referred to the hiring manager. I applied of the locations under fewer locations I live within 30min of one of the locations. I don’t live anywhere near the many vacancies. Does that still mean there will be many vacancies or no? I know the other locations listed under many vacancies have a higher demand for help. Thanks.

Govt. contractor who has only worked govt contract jobs besides regular jobs in college. 4.5 years under a contract. It’s a GS-7 position that was open to the public. I do know this office has a backlog since my govt supervisor said so and they did lose contractors who assisted them as funding cut for them. I am fluent in another language and it was mentioned on my resume. I am new to seeing this since last time I saw this, I had the interview and wasn’t called back along side another coworker who applied. I’ve only been helped vaguely by someone who hires on a GS12+ scale. I’ve met the people who could have looked at my resume but not anyone since left their position. Thank you in advance.

I may have awkwardly worded it and sorry. I’ve been a Vietnamese school teacher for 3 years now but I only teach on a Sunday. The ages of my students range from 5-8. It was 4 1/2-8 until students turned 5. I teach them how to read, write and speak in Vietnamese. The alphabet is just the French alphabet. My day job is nothing related to teaching. I have a bachelors degree and a human services minor. My minor can definitely used in teaching since I learned about problem solving and similar in the classroom. I have not started by certifications for teaching. VA resident and can travel into MD. Elementary school teacher due the ages I teach and first choice kindergarten.
