How do you actually remember Hanzi without spending forever writing each character?

I started learning Chinese a few days ago and I’m currently focusing on basic radicals, stroke order, and the vocabulary I’ve learned through Pinyin. I’ve also started writing basic sentences, and for revision I usually trace over the characters with my pencil while saying the sentences out loud. The problem is I’m worried I’m going to forget most of the characters, especially since I’m still very new to Hanzi. My goal is to pass HSK 3, and when I looked at past papers I realized they were basically all in Hanzi and I couldn’t read a single word. Now that I’ve started learning characters, I want to make the process as efficient as possible. Since the HSK 3 exam is computer based, I’m wondering if I should mainly focus on recognizing characters rather than being able to handwrite every character perfectly. If I can recognize the shape and know the pronunciation, I should be able to type the Pinyin and select the correct character on the keyboard, right? At the moment I’m writing each new word around 10 times before moving on to the next one, but it feels like this is slowing me down a lot. Is that actually a good way to learn, or would it be better to spend less time physically writing and more time on things like reading, flashcards, recognition, and recalling the character from memory? For people who have passed HSK 3 or learned Chinese from scratch, what would you recommend I focus on right now to speed up the process without forgetting everything I learn?

First time traveling internationally from Lahore Airport on a student visa, need some guidance

I’m traveling internationally from Lahore Airport and I’ll be traveling on a student visa. I’ve already booked my ticket and received my e ticket and itinerary, but I’m a little confused about how everything works at the airport. Do I need to take a printed copy of my e ticket and itinerary, or is showing them on my phone enough? Also, what exactly is an e itinerary, I’m especially confused about the boarding pass. How and when do I get it? Do I receive it online before going to the airport or do I get it from the airline check in counter at the airport?

Cheapest way to reach Allama Iqbal International Airport from Niazi Bus Stand or Thokar?

I usually arrive in Lahore by bus at either Niazi Bus Stand or Thokar, and from there I need to get to Allama Iqbal International Airport. Since the airport is around 35 km away, booking a ride through an app isn't always possible because I may not have internet, and local taxis usually charge a lot. I also travel with a luggage bag, so walking long distances isn't ideal. Is there a practical and affordable route using the Orange Line, feeder buses, or the electro buses? I would really appreciate any step by step advice from people who have done this before, especially if it works without needing mobile data.

What's the Best Way to Use My Weekly Calls with My Chinese Friend for HSK Preparation?

So, my Chinese friend is willing to help me, and I talked with her on a call. But I feel there should be a proper plan for our call sessions. We've decided to have one session per week. Now I want your opinion on what we should do during those calls.

Last time, I just read a few sentences and discussed them with her. She asked me to send her those notes before the call for reference. During the call, she opened that page on her phone, and I had the physical page in my hand.

On that page, I had written some vocabulary words and a few relevant sentences (HSK 2 level). Please let me know what the best way is, at this level, to make our call sessions interesting, effective, and fun so they don't become boring.

Tell Me about China university of Petroleum

I'm joining China University of Petroleum, Beijing (CUPB) this September as an international student for a Master's in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.

I've already done some research about China in general, but I want to hear from people who actually know about the university or have studied there.

A few things I'm curious about:

Is CUPB a good university for petroleum engineering? How is its reputation in the industry?

Was doing a master's from there worth it for you?

What are alumni doing now? Are they working in China, the Middle East, their home countries, or elsewhere?

How are the job opportunities after graduation, especially for international students?

Is there good scope in the oil & gas industry after graduating from CUPB, or is it getting harder?

How are the professors, research opportunities, and campus life?

Also, I'd like to know more about Changping, where the university is located.

What's the area like?

Is it safe and convenient for students?

Are there good parks, shopping malls, restaurants, cafés, gyms, or places to hang out?

How far is it from central Beijing, and is public transport good?

First-time booking a flight online and I am confused about different prices

This is my first time booking an airline ticket for myself, so I have a question.

I opened my HBL app and went to the Travel section. Under Air Travel, it gave me two booking options: Bookme and Sastaticket. I searched for the same flight on both websites, but there was about a PKR 3,000 difference in the fare.

Then I checked Mytrip outside the HBl app on browser, and it was showing the exact same flight for almost PKR 9,000 less than both Bookme and Sastaticket.

My questions are:

Is Mytrip a trustworthy website to book flights?

If I book through Mytrip instead of using the HBL app, will there be any extra charges or hidden fees?

I'm planning to pay using my PayPak debit card. Will it work for booking on Mytrip?
