Free accountability meetup for Chelmsford/Billerica/Westford MA & surrounding towns – commuters welcome!

Hey neighbors,

I’ll be honest—I’m starting this because I need it myself.

I’ve been procrastinating on some goals for way too long. Career moves. Health habits. Personal projects. I keep saying “tomorrow,” and tomorrow never comes.

So I figured: if I’m stuck, others are too.

I want to create a small, in-person meetup for locals near Chelmsford, Billerica, Westford, Lowell, and Tewksbury area. Once or twice a month. Free. No sales. No MLMs.

Here’s how it works:

* Brief check-in where everyone shares their top goal.
* Pair up with 1–3 people who share similar goals.
* Walk away with a partner and a clear weekly plan.
* Check in with each other between meetups.

**If you work in these towns but live elsewhere, you're welcome too. Commuters are 100% invited.**

I haven’t booked a room yet—just testing interest. Open to libraries or a local café like Press Cafe.

If you’d actually show up, drop a comment or upvote. Let me know what goals you're working on too.

Let's stop procrastinating together. :-)

Who are you people? Seriously, who are you?

# Reposting my below post due to a few request #

I'm sitting here in Massachusetts , looking at my wrist—at the sea glass bracelet that a stranger put on me —and I still don't have an answer.

I came to Nova Scotia by accident. I was in Quebec, thinking of heading home, when I decided to just... keep going. This was never the plan. I told my dad—who passed away recently—to look after me, because I was scared. I don't like driving long or to an unknown place. I'd never done a solo trip like this. And yet I ended up driving from Meat Cove all the way to Yarmouth, in one big circle, alone, and I have never felt less alone in my life.

Five moments that will stay with me forever:

  1. The girl at the ice cream parlor. She told about her canceled trip to Italy and I warned her about pickpockets. We talked for 45 minutes. She told me to wait, not to leave, and came back with this gorgeous sea glass bracelet she put on my wrist. I haven't taken it off since. Every time I look at it, I think of her.

  2. The antique shop owner in Yarmouth. I emptied my Canadian dollars before the ferry, chatting with the owner for a while and was asking about a cast iron pan I was looking for. He pointed to the "cash only" sign. My face must have dropped. He put his finger to his lips, shhhh, and slipped the pan into my bag. I was shocked and was searching my bag, found a $20 US bill somewhere —thanked my dad virtually —and insisted he take it. He gave me Canadian change back and told me to use it for my last meal. I did.

  3. The lady at the farmers' market. She gave me a sea glass bottle for free after a brief conversation. Just because.

  4. The bed and breakfast couple. Every morning, they left a new water bottle by my door. They cooked me a fantastic breakfast, and then, on my last day, they reduced my stay cost. On top of that, they gave me a big, beautiful drawing—because everyone is an artist in Nova Scotia—with my name written on it. They hugged me and told me to drive safe. I was emotional. Here I am, with no family , no parents to call, and yet I'm surrounded by strangers in a foreign country who made me feel like I belonged. It didn't feel unsafe or unfamiliar. It felt like home.

  5. The random guy from Reddit. I was whining online about the $350 ferry cost after my original post, and out of nowhere, a stranger reached out to me privately and told me a coupon code that slashed the price by $150. Just like that. No lecture, no judgment—just generosity from someone who had no reason to help except kindness. He probably doesn't know how much that gesture meant to me, but it was the perfect final act of kindness before my crossing.

  6. Some random sales girl from a downtown Halifax pharmacy spent an hour long helping ma in finding me what I want and on top of it, she gave me 10 plus samples and has encouraged me to take more.

I want to be honest. I never mentioned Cape Breton's beauty, Louisbourg Fortress, Peggy's Cove, Shelburne, Yarmouth, the Bay of Fundy, or St. John in this message. I saw them all, and they were stunning. But I realized something on this trip: the sites are incredible, but the people and the experiences they offer come first. This trip was never about the postcard views—it was about the souls I met along the way. And in my case, I got both.

I was scared. I thought of my dad the whole time, asking him to protect me in this unknown place. And he did—through every single one of you.

Thank you—to the Nova Scotians, to the PEI folks, to the people of New Brunswick. To the man who gifted me a cast iron pan, to the girl who put a bracelet on my wrist and told me I was safe, to the couple who treated me like family, and to the stranger on Reddit who lightened my ferry bill. You made me feel loved. You made me feel like I belong. You made a random, last-minute, uncertain trip into something I will carry with me forever.

Thank you for all the postings here, because from your thread and recommendations, I ended up feeding into AI and I have ended up visiting many spots. And to the kind soul who saw my struggle and quietly sent me that ferry coupon and checked on me every few days —you know who you are. Thank you. 💙

And Dad—if you're reading this from somewhere —thank you. You were with me the whole time. 💙

P.S. Next time, I'll be back. And I'll bring more cash. 😉

And maybe, just maybe, I'll find a nice guy from Canada along the way. You never know what the future holds. 💙 🙏🏼🙂

Budget stay suggestions for solo traveler in Bar Harbor?

Hi all — I’m arriving in Bar Harbor by car on August 3 and staying 2–3 days. I’m traveling solo and looking for a safe, budget-friendly place to stay with Wi-Fi and basic facilities. Hostels, backpacker-style lodging, cheap motels, inns, or even campgrounds are all possibilities if they’re suitable for a solo first-timer. I’d also appreciate easy sightseeing and food recommendations for lobster, oysters, shopping, and scenic spots. Thank you!

My first time visit to Nova Scotia… loving it so far😍

My first ever solo drive from the USA now and it’s been amazing so far. I was initially afraid being a solo women traveler but people are kind and friendly. I feel welcomed. Just want to thank the Nova Scotia folks for the hospitality and support. Got 5 more days here but don’t feel like going to Yarmouth to take the ferry back to the states 😇

**Birthday trip to Eastern Europe — flying from Boston, July/Aug, 2-4 weeks. Group tour recs needed! 🎂**

Hi! I'm a solo female traveler from Boston (BOS) treating myself to a birthday trip through Eastern Europe. Budget is a real priority right now, but safety and comfort matter too — private rooms only, no dorms.

I tried solo travel once and hated it. I need a small group tour with an English-speaking guide where I'll actually connect with people, not just sightsee alone in a crowd.

I want to go beyond the Budapest/Vienna/Prague/Berlin circuit — Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, and the Balkans are all calling my name. The more countries the better.

\*\*Looking for:\*\*
\- Small group tour, English guide, solo-friendly (no or low single supplement)
\- Budget-friendly, reliable, high-rated
\- Any European-based operators cheaper than G Adventures/Intrepid?

\*\*Questions:\*\*

  1. Which tour gave you the best social experience — where you actually made friends?
  2. Hidden gem cities worth adding?
  3. Solo women — which cities felt safest and most welcoming?
  4. Best cheap routing from Boston into this region?

Message me here if you want to swap notes. Thanks! 🙏

Heading to Inner Engineering in Boston — happy to connect with anyone else attending

Hi everyone! 👋 Is anybody attending the Inner Engineering in-person four-day event at Broadway Boston starting tomorrow, Thursday, through Sunday? It’s my first time, and I hear it can be intense. I’d love to connect with others who are going—whether it’s your first time too or you’ve attended before. Feel free to comment or DM me if you’d like to meet up. I’m commuting all the way from my town to the city for this, so it would be great to connect with some fellow participants! 🙏🏼

To everyone who still has their dad or Mom— please don't wait to tell him. Happy Father's Day!I miss you.

I grew up as one of those girls whose first love was her dad. I know that sounds cliché, but I genuinely won the parent lottery. My father did everything for me — sometimes even more than my mom. He'd drop me off at karate at 5 AM, massage my legs when they ached from training, and never stop until I fell asleep. Every morning, he'd wake me up with a kiss on my cheek or ear (which annoyed teenage me to no end). He sang with me despite having a terrible voice, drove me back and forth between Chennai and Pondy every single time, gave me head massages so good I'd pass out mid-oil, and never let me go grocery shopping alone.

I came from a loving home, but life got complicated. I went through an abusive arranged marriage and an unexpected divorce — the kind that leaves you carrying shame you never asked for, especially in a society where you worry more about what neighbors think than your own healing. All I wanted was to fix things. To remarry, to bring home a "nice guy," to remove the stain I thought my family wore because of me. I wanted my dad to see that I was okay, that he didn't need to feel guilty for finding the wrong match for me.

The wait to go home felt endless. But I was finally ready.

A month before I arrived, my dad died of a heart attack.

All I got was his frozen body. So many words left unspoken. So much love I never said out loud while I could.

Now I send voice notes to a number that doesn't work. I write to someone who can't write back. And I know, with a certainty that breaks me over and over, that no one is ever going to love me like my dad did.
If your father is still here — if you have parents you love, people you care about — do not wait. Say it now. Say the thank yous, the I love yous, the "you matter to me"s. We all think we have time until we don't.

To those celebrating today — hug your dads extra tight. To those missing theirs — you're not alone. And to my Appa, wherever you are: I hope you knew. I really hope you knew.

Happy Father's Day. 🙏🏼 😘❤️

[F4M] 30s — Greater Boston/Southern NH — tired of small talk, trying for a real connection

I love to travel overseas ✈️ and I’m always adding new places to the list. Sapiosexual here — a sharp mind gets my attention faster than anything else.

A few honest questions instead of a bio: What are you most proud of yourself for? And what’s something you learned the hard way that actually stuck?

I’m into swimming and working on getting better at it (advanced strokes, technique, the whole thing), good food, real conversation, and staying curious. Drug-free, surgery-free, caffeine-free, Debt-free and low-key proud of it. People say I look put-together without trying — though my brother got slightly thicker and longer eyelashes than me, still not over it.🤪

I’m not here for casual or undefined. Looking for a man in his 30s-40s, grounded, no kids, who knows what he wants and says so.

What’s your answer to either question above? DM me and If we vibe, happy to trade pictures and move toward meeting in person — that’s the goal. 😊🙏🏼

Solo but not lonely — small group tours + safest summer destinations for women?

ok so i need help lol

im from boston and trying to plan a trip for july/august, 2-3 weeks somewhere overseas. done solo travel before and i actually like it but i get so lonely by day 3 its not even funny

so ive been looking into those tours where a bunch of solo travelers get grouped together with a guide?? has anyone actually done one of these. like did u bond with people or was it just awkward strangers on a bus. which company did u use

also genuinely asking bc i cant find good answers — where would u go as a solo woman in summer that actually feels safe. my options rn are

  1. portugal / spain / morocco
  2. japan
  3. eastern europe (croatia, hungary, czech republic etc)
  4. somewhere i havent thought of??

specifically wondering about walking alone at night, whether harassment is bad in tourist season, stuff like that. not looking for travel blog answers lol just what u actually experienced. ty!!
