I’m working on a comprehensive overhaul of Mha. My biggest issu was compressing everything into a single year which rushed the worldbuilding.

To fix the issue of side characters feeling neglected, Class 1-A is trimmed to 13 students.

Deku Squad: Izuku Midoriya, Shouto Todoroki, Tenya Iida, Tsuyu Asui, Ochako Uraraka

Baku Squad: Katsuki Bakugou, Eijirou Kirishima, Mina Ashido, Denki Kaminari, Hanta Sero

Others:

Momo Yaoyorozu, Kyouka Jirou, Fumikage Tokoyami

Class 1-B is also trimmed to a matching 13 student roster, but remains mostly undecided

The rest of the original cast isn't erased persay, but the discarded ones from class 1a and 1b will be redistributed into General Studies and Support. They'll exist in the world since they're appreciated, and like Shinsou and Mei, they'll receive focused moments, but they no longer clutter the narrative.

Katsuki Bakugou is still abrasivee, complexity stems from deep insecurity about being left behind. He harbored complicated feelings for Izuku in their youth that faded into a rivalry.

Mineta Minoru is pushed to General Studies. His personality is heavily toned down to function as a running gag.

Hanta Sero I made aromantic, will change if need be.

Now, I'm making a big change by including romance, I can understand how it may be a make or break, but once again it's my interpretation but advice in who x Who is appreciated.

My goal is to stretch the story across 3 years (Years 1–3): This gives the characters room to breathe,

Ensures hero deaths carry genuine weight

Expands any villain character and any rehabilitation, redemption or death

Also will grounds the progression for One For All's quirk, when a new one is unlocked, when, how, etc..

1. Class Roster Trimming & World Distribution

They still exist in the world since they're appreciated, and like Shinsoun and Mei, they'll receive focused noments, but they no longer clutter the narrative.

2. Character Reworks & Personality Shifts

Katsuki Bakugou is still brasivee but never tells Izuku to jump or is too much of an asshole. His complexity stems from deep insecurity about being left behind. He harbored complicated feelings for Izuku in their youth that faded into a rivalry.

Mineta Minoru is pushed to General Studies. His personality is heavily toned down to function as a lighthearted running gag rather than intrusive behavior.

Nemuri Kayama (Midnight) has been redone to a protective "aunt figure" to Class 1-A and not whatever she had going on, but her Rated R hero persona remains. She serves as a vital emotional anchor and aids in student quirk control (teaching Izuku breathing techniques for Smokescreen). She'll receive a far more respectful death during the war.

Hanta Sero I made aromantic, will change if need be.

4. Villain Fates & Hero Casualties

Tomura Shigaraki: Passes away peacefully at the end of the war, freed from All For One's control.

Kurogiri / Shirakumo: Receives a dedicated, quiet memorial.

Himiko Toga: Survives the final war and undergoes supervised legal rehabilitation, therapy, and quirk management alongside a strong support network.

Touya Todoroki (Dabi): Dabi dies, but Touya lives. Having burned away his quirk, he is no longer a physical threat to society. He enters long-term rehabilitation and therapy, finally getting the chance to live again.

Spinner & Mr. Compress: Receive expanded post-war scenes. They undergo therapy and write books from prison and letters to each other. Spinner actively questions whether he deserves redemption, while compress faces his actions.

Hero Casualties:

Gran Torino: Dies at Kamino Ward (Year 1) protecting All Might and Izuku from AFO.

Sir Nighteye: Dies at the end of the Overhaul Arc (Year 2) with a much more fleshed-out send-off.

Midnight: Dies during the Paranormal War (Year 2) in a heroic, dignified stand while being a hero.

Katsuki Bakugou: Unsure but I might have him die in year 3 after taking down All For One.

5. Early Character Introductions

To make later beats feel earned, some appear much earlier.

The Big Three (Mirio, Tamaki, Nejire): Introduced after the USJ Incident and during the self made arc Support Course Showcase where we see the aftermath of USJ.

Sir Nighteye & Gran Torino: Introduced alongside each other during the Year 1 Stain Arc to establish the legacy of All Might's inner circle from the start.

Star and Stripe: Introduced via international hero news and political consultations throughout Year 2 before her physical arrival in Year 3.

6. Streamlined One For All Quirk Timeline

Rather than sudden mid-story, quirks manifest in small moments during high-stress moments before being officially unlocked and trained:

Float (7th): Hinted at USJ (Year 1) when Izuku briefly hovers when attempting to rescue Tsuyu.

Unlocks at Hosu (Year 1) to dodge Stain's blade.

Trains with Ochako.

Smokescreen (6th): Hinted at Hosu (Year 1) when mist leaks from his gloves

Unlocks at Kamino (Year 1) to blind others during the rescue.

Tarins with Midnight.

Blackwhip (5th): Hinted at Kamino (Year 1) when a tendril snaps toward Bakugou fearing the escape won't work Unlocks at Overhaul Arc (Year 2) (barely used)

Trains with Sero and Aizawa.

Danger Sense (4th): Hinted at Overhaul Arc (Year 2) as a sharp headache.

Unlocks at Sports Festival 2 (Year 2) to dodge Gentle

Trains with Shinso and Aizawa?

Fa Jin (3rd): Unlocked in Vigilante Arc (Year 3) as an emergency kinetic release to outspeed a bullet and escape Class 1A.

Trains alone but eventually with Bakugo during recovery

Gearshift (2nd): Studied and prepared ahead of time

Unlocks in Final War (Year 3) against Shigaraki.

7. Expanded 3-Year Arc Layout

Year 1: Foundations

Spring: Orientation, Quirk Assessment, Battle Trials, Joint Rescue Drills with Class 1-B, USJ Incident, and Support Studio Showcase.

Summer: First-Year UA Sports Festival, Hero Internships, and Hosu Incident.

Autumn: Midterm Exams, Cultural Prep Buffer Arc, Forest Training Camp, Vanguard Action Squad Raid, Kamino Raid, Winter Break, Move to UA Dorms, and Ground Beta Confrontation.

Year 2: Escalation

Spring: Provisional License Exam and Shie Hassaikai Overhaul Arc.

Summer: School Cultural Festival and Second-Year UA Sports Festival.

Autumn and Winter: Class 1-A vs Class 1-B Joint Training Arc, Hero Agency Work Studies, and Paranormal Liberation War Arc, Vigilante Deku Arc

Year 3: The Final War

Spring: Expanded Dark Hero Vigilante Arc Class 1-A Retrieval, Comfort at UA / Training

Summer: The Rogue Hero International Response Arc.

Autumn: UA Traitor Arc and Psychological Reconstruction Arc, Final Messages

Winter and Spring: The Final War Arc, Post-War Rehabilitation, Funerals, and Graduation.

Possible Timeskip? Unsure If I'll personally do one

Also, I'm unsure if I'll include the movies, it may be a good way to fit in more stuff when I need it, but as of now, I need to come up with more arcs.

Ahat do you think of the 3-year pacing

How do you feel about the specific villain rehabilitation paths and hero deaths?

Bakugou will get told the truth by Izuku prior USJ as he blurts it out,later told more post USJ, he'll know 100% first

​Ochako Uraraka will learns a partial truth during Year 1 when Izuku confides in her about the strange nature of Float, may learn more of it as time goes on.

Iida will learn about the true nature of Izukus quirk, but probably somewhere post Hosu, but Pre Vigilante Deku, he deserves to know.

​Shouto will deduces the connection on his own through keen observation of Izuku's power output and his close ties to All Might, officially joining the inner circle.

Izuku doesnt want to repeat all mights mistakes of not telling anyone, so he's fine with his friends knowing.

​Gran Torino & Sir Nighteye will serve as advisors and mentors whom Izuku confides in whenever he struggles.

​Mirio will be willingly disclosed the full truth of One For All to him following the Overhaul Arc, out of deep respect for Mirio, and of sir night eyes death, Izuku thinks it'll help.
