Looking for beginner friendly yoga classes.

I’ve never done yoga before and have stepped foot in a gym maybe 3 times in my life.

Not in shape, just looking to start somewhere without making an embarrassment of myself. 😅

Traveled thru recently and noticed some letters on the mountains near Reno and Fernley. What are they used for?

Hi! I want to visit Laguna Beach in March-April. Someone said the town has a beautiful smell around this time. I’m really into fragrance so I plan on making a trip next year.

I don’t know much about the town, but since I’m visiting next year, I want to save up so I can have the full experience!

1. Lodging - can anyone recommend any special AirBnBs, bed & breakfasts, or other unique lodging?
2. Food - give me all your favorite recommendations!
3. Beaches - what do you recommend?
4. Getting around town - how pedestrian friendly is it? Should I plan on renting a car? (Otherwise very comfortable with walking)
5. What unique activities should I do when I’m in town? Shopping, hikes, museums, etc.

I’m thinking of slang, it’s on the tip of my tongue. It’s when someone consistently performs well, wins again and again.

I was thinking “on a heater” but thats not right. “Back to back dubs” is close.

Any ideas? I’m going crazy.

I’ve always been interested in working within an EEO role, potentially as an investigator. I don’t have experience with EEO. Are there helpful trainings for EEO available through CalHR or otherwise?

I’m not asking why poor people steal, or why people who grew up in unstable households turn to crime. Those situations make sense.

What confuses me is when you see affluent people, who grew up in stable and safe households, steal for seemingly no reason.

There was a successful doctor arrested at an airport for stealing earrings. One of my coworker was fired years ago for theft, and it made zero sense. He came from money. The thing he stole was so meaningless and he knew the risks. The thing had almost no value.

What makes someone a thief, when there is no “need” to steal that can be explained?

I got a YouTube suggestion for a bodycam arrest from July 7, 2026.

It wasn’t even a big incident, just a lady that walked out of a restaurant without paying her bill.

How are Youtubers getting ahold of these videos so quickly? Are they going through the whole Public Records Act request song and dance?

It probably took a while to edit the video, add captions, etc so I’m assuming they got the video only a few days after the incident.

Not a native of Humboldt county. I had no idea about this - or how LONG this has been happening - until I saw the Sheriff’s press release come up on my YouTube feed.

I’m now watching an interview with Shannon from EIGHT YEARS AGO addressing concerns.

Note the wording in the Sheriff’s press release. Their attitude and bias is clear as day. To them:

- Shannon can kill the animals however he wants, that’s his right.

- A bullet in the head is the most merciful way to go.

- California has an overpopulation problem anyway.

- If people are upset and want the laws changed, that’s up to Sacramento politicians.

- The real victims are the rescues that were defrauded, not the animals.

- Did the Sheriff’s Office fail to do their job? Eh, maybe, but we’ll figure out how to do better next time.

THIS. IS. UNREAL.

There needs to be justice. The sheer amount of investigating parties and agencies is astounding, it’s acronym soup.

I hope there is justice for animals. I cannot get the visual of six hundred dog collars in the kill shed out of my head.

I hope this gets worldwide exposure. Air the dirty laundry. Show these people to the world.

Hey all, I’ve been on tirz for about six months. I’ve lost about 45 pounds.

Unfortunately, while I’ve largely lost weight from head to toe, i still have stubborn fat in my back and stomach.

Any suggestions? I thought weight loss targeted the body equally…. I guess I was naive lol.

Looking for fresh and local strawberries! Grocery store strawberries are not as good as fresh off the vine, and I’m craving them! Any suggestions in or around town?
