After discussions with you guys, ive decided to make weekly "seeking" posts for poly people to connect. Individual seeking posts will be removed, and directed to the seeking threads

I've set the posts to be recurring every Sunday at noon. Let's see how it goes. This way, we can keep the sub itself for community discussions without cluttering it with seeking posts.

Guys what shall we do about the "seeking" posts? A lot of them seem vaguely about sexual connections, not poly

I was thinking of implementing a rule where people have to mention what relationship style they're in, what kind of connection they're looking for etc.

I'm also not entirely sure we should have "seeking" posts at all, considering all that can go wrong via the internet. Thoughts?

Any ideas to make this place more active?

Hi all,

I'd really like to get this community going. People seem to come across the sub every now and then but that's it. Does anyone have any ideas?

What's it like for polyamorous indians, both in the country and abroad?

Very broad question, I know. But here's a few things I want to know from my fellow poly Indians.

Where do you usually meet people?

How do you navigate poly while being from a culture that's relatively conservative about these things?

Do you prefer being poly in India or abroad, and why?

What are the online spaces, subreddits, influencers, etc that you follow who specifically cater to poly indians?

What kinds of relationship structures do you envision yourself in?

Poly is so diverse. For example I personally don't want to be in a hierarchical relationship, but I'm curious about the "poly V" structure where me and another guy share a partner. What are the kinds of structures you want to be in?

Is mastering always a subtle thing or do mastering engineers make extreme changes too?

I'm a musician who mixes his own stuff, and i would say i am an intermediate at it. what im aiming for is a polished sounding mix that doesnt rely on any wild mastering changes to sound loud and punchy. but that lead me to the question - what level of "finished" should i be aiming for before applying a mastering chain? if a rather extreme EQ decision in the master bus just makes everything sound great, should i just roll with it or go back and work on the mix again?

Edit - thank you all for the incredible insights! Fantastic comments here

Any anime/sci fi/movie fans want to hang out?

I'm from Pune but I'm in kannur for a few weeks and looking for people to hang out with. Im a 37 year old guy, into music production, copywriting and voice overs. Happy to chill at the beach in a group, we could nerd out about stuff we've watched etc.

Can something be done about "______ game is ruined" "____ players are mad" "its so over" youtubers?

I'm from the helldivers 2 community and these jokers have POISONED our community spaces horribly. I see it happening about all kinds of games. I think from the content creator's perspective, it's a way to keep the lights on, and I get that. But I'm just absolutely fed up of this trend as a gamer. Here's what I think people should do:

-Aggressively downvote videos with such titles, comment negatively whenever you see this on all platforms.

-Encourage creators to actually make GAMING content not "community outrage reporting content".

-Unsubscribe from such creators and actively subscribe to creators who are actually being creative, mastering the game itself, and being a positive influence on their communities.

Usually when AH gives us new toys, it means we're gonna need em

I'm just saying guys, I'm juuust saying. I've seen a pattern of weapons being buffed and then new enemies showing up that really need those weapons. With the new buffs, our kit is really pushing into overpowered territory. I think that means we're gonna be facing new challenges soon. I don't know what they are but I have a feeling.

Guys quick, come up with a reason for a reviewbomb!

I looked at the patch notes and I saw thousands of damage points of buffs to us and very little monkey paw bullshit. Arrowhead is UP TO SOMETHING, I CAN SMELL IT! THEY ARE TRYING TO NULLIFY THE CONSUMER PRESSURE WE'VE BUILT UP OVER THE YEARS BY CONCENTRATING ALL THE BUFFS INTO ONE PATCH SO WE DONT SEE IT IN CONTEXT. This is gaslighting!!

Focusing on vehicles like the tank and variations of the FRV is really smart

To me, co-op is the soul of this game and a supply FRV is FANTASTIC solution to the problem of solo attitudes in the game. The normal FRV is an optional adventure and honestly a bit of a deathwish dare - but the Supply FRV has WAY more incentive for us to actually enter, protect, and use properly.

The announcement of reworking team reload is also fantastic news in this regard. Even prioritizing expanding the emote wheel to 8, someone mentioned that. It's all pointing towards co-op experiences that are going to be insanely fun.

More co-op focused stuff like this is going to take the game to the next level.

Unique warbond items that unlock entirely new playstyles/tactics

Many warbond items are variations of existing guns, armor passives, stratagems etc. But SOME items make the whole game feel fresh by opening up entirely new ways to play.

Here are my personal favs:

Peak Physique and Experimental Infusion - Viper Commandos

Peak Physique directly impacts EVERY weapon with slow ergonomics - from the dominator to the AMR to the Autocannon to all expendable missile launchers - they ALL get instant, snappy aim. NOTHING else in the game TRANSFORMS the experience of over a dozen other pieces of gear - so it's a MUST HAVE imo.

Experimental infusion is also a MUST HAVE. It makes you almost unkillable and tactical pre-stimming with it will get you out of so many situations unscathed. 100% must have.

Portable Hellbomb - Servants of Freedom

This is the only item that will have you scream "WITNESS ME!!" while running TOWARDS crowds of enemies. Definitely a must-have.

Hover Pack - Borderline Justice

Hovering around, getting on top of structures, jumping straight up to avoid enemies while firing expendables/eruptor straight down - this opens up a whole different playstyle. Must-have.

Warp Pack - Control Group

This thing allows your helldiver to "dash" straight through/behind objects. It's a whole playstyle in one item. Must-have.

Directional Shield and Anti Tank Emplacement - Urban Legends

The directional shield is quite fun, I hope they buff it a bit but it's fun to use to defend turrets, other helldivers, emplacements, the FRV etc. The anti-tank emplacement just kills literally everything in the game from across the map, 100% must-experience yourself.

Defoliation Tool - Python Commandos

Chainsword playstyle. Enough said. Must-have.

Lure mine, C4 pack, Reduced signature, censor /suppressor /re-educator - Redacted Regiment

Names are self-explanatory. Stealth, demolitions, and enemy luring playstyles, all in one warbond. Great bang for buck for new experiences.

Breakthrough Exosuit - Exo experts

This exosuit is totally unique because of its melee capability. Currently in need of a hitbox fix but still, totally unique experience.

Cremator - Entrenched Division

THE definitive flamethrower experience of the game.

Breaching hammer, G/SH39 shield grenade - Siege Breakers

The breaching hammer is the best melee item in the game IMO, it's INSANE fun to use and is a whole playstyle unto itself. The shield "grenade" is pretty great and opens up some fun tactics as well.

Honorable mentions:

Loyalist - Truth Enforcers

This thing is fucking insane. It's one-handed, so it pairs great with the shield backpacks, you can fire it while running, and unlike the crossbow its non-charged firing mode is pretty safe to use in close-quarters. Underrated BEAST of a weapon and you can truly craft an entire loadout around it.

Punisher Plasma - Cutting Edge

This primary makes wrecking enemies from behind cover a breeze and can "stagger lock" whole groups of enemies. It's the most unique and distinctive primary in my opinion. Not necessarily the BEST primary, but it does feel fresh and unique.

Gas Grenades - Chemical Agents

Chemical Agents is the weakest warbond in my opinion BUT Gas Grenades are area-denial in your pocket. Fantastic against all kinds of enemies across all subfactions and situations. Throw one at your feet when being chased, dive forward and watch everything behind you spaz the fuck out. Truly game changing.

Solo silo - Dust Devils

Another totally unique item that's very satisfying to use, especially over long distances/against all the biggest enemies in the game.

Thanks for reading!
