How do I wean a toddler who uses me like a pacifier?

My toddler turns 2 soon and I am ready to wean her. We took pacifiers away 4 months ago. Since then she has been breastfeeding non stop, day and night, for feeding and comfort. Bedtime only happens if she can breastfeed. She only goes back down after wake ups if she can breastfeed. She constantly wants to breastfeed during the day.

So what are my steps over the next month or two in order to fully wean her?

Does anyone here tow a Pop Up or lite weight camper with their van?

2026 Toyota Sienna XLE

We are debating getting a pop up or similar weight camper to tow behind our van but wanted to know what experiences others have had with towing. Do you recommend it? Have any suggestions? Any problems?

Obviously we understand that MPG will be much lower. But other than that how does it drive?

What are our best options for padding our tent floor for rocky sites (inside or beneath)?

We have a very large Marmot limestone 8 person tent. A lot of our local campsites are very rocky. As you can see in the photo. So even if we clear the site they’re still gonna be tons of a little rocks that we can feel through the tent floor. Are foam tiles our only option? Because the footprint is so large, foam tiles would take up a lot of space in our van.

LG washing machine all of a sudden stopped draining

I have been running loads all day. Previous loads were fine. but the last two loads, the machine did not drain. I have no idea what could’ve happened other than maybe there’s a blockage. I have been washing bedding so there could definitely be like dog hair or cat hair that maybe created a blockage. But I’m not really sure how to tell. But it’s not draining on the wash cycle or the rinse cycle.

People who own/owned SVOL or GOF; what are you doing now and what are your plans for the future regarding these?

I have both GOF and SVOL in my portfolio. But I purchased years ago so the price is down a lot. For a while now I have been using the dividends to buy other ETFs.

Not sure if I want to buy some now with the prices so low, if I should continue holding, or if I should just sell. Trying to make up my mind. Wondering what others are doing now.

Princess obsessed 5 year old and 3 year old. Should we do DisneyLand or Disney World?

We are planning a trip next year to either Disneyland or Disney World. We don’t know which one we wanna do yet. We have two girls who are very much obsessed with princesses, Disney movies, Bluey, and Minnie Mouse.

We live in the North East so we can drive to Disney World but have family in California. We have a slim budget of $8,000 and would like to do Universal also within that budget.

Which resort would be better?

What would be a pros and cons for us for each resort?

What can I do with this wine rack now that we don’t drink?

We don’t drink anymore, but we have this nice wine rack. Currently in our dining room next to the buffet. I don’t really know what to do with it. It is mostly empty. I thought of selling it on Facebook and getting a cabinet to fit there. But if I could repurpose it, I’d rather do that. We have small kids so I don’t want anything glass in it. Any ideas?

Question on ac in 2015 forester

I have a 2015 Subaru forester with the standard 2.5 motor. The ac has not worked correctly in years . A shop recharged it a couple times and it worked for a couple months. I haven’t bothered with it in a couple years until today. I had an ac recharge can and followed instructions to turn on the car with ac on and full . Hooked up the kit and it showed 3 psi. So I started filling and lo and behold the compressor kicked on. So I kept letting off every so often as the screen said , to check pressure , and letting until it was reading about 25psi. I unhooked the can and capped the low pressure line. It appeared to be running . I thought maybe I would fully charge to what it shows in the green on the can, so I hooked it back up and now it says 90psi. And the ac compressor is not running.

So has anyone run into this issue or possibly know what could cause this ? Is there a certain lag time on this recharge kits that I was not waiting long enough for? If it doesn’t start running now I will probably bring it to a shop for a full diagnosis of the issue.

Just started Metformin after finally getting diagnosed at 41. What should I expect?

I have always had some of the symptoms of PCOS but never had an irregular period. I went through infertility. Had multiple chemical pregnancies. When I got pregnant with my first child, I had bleeding during my first trimester which turned out to be a bleeding cyst. And they found a cyst/s on my ovary. Never mentioned PCOS. Even with my second child after having to go through multiple rounds of fertility treatments it was never mentioned. Finally my primary at my annual was going over the list of symptoms I gave her and asked if any had mentioned PCOS to me. She did testing to rule out other things and put me on metformin for the PCOS.

I am 2- 500 mg pills a day. And started last Thursday.

How long do stomach issues last?

Should I ask to start with just 1 pill a day and work my way up to two?

Will I see a difference in my symptoms?

I see my gyno next month. Should I ask for more/different meds?

Symptoms:
Brain fog
Hair not growing on legs
Hair growing on nipples
Mood swings
Weight gain
Heavy periods every 23 days
Painful cramps

Looking for recommendations for reusable pull ups. Preferably either budget friendly.

Our 21 month old likes pull ups better than diapers but she takes them off every time she pees. So I would like to buy some reusable ones as I don’t think she will be trained anytime soon.

She is very slim baby and I think she likes how thin the pull ups are.

Any suggestions?

ISO of a place to have family gathering for 20-30

I am from out of town. And I have family coming from out of town as well for a large reunion. We would also like to have a small informal gathering for the younger families. Is there any pavilions, park areas, or lakefront areas where we could have just a cookout and hang out for a few hours?

We are all staying mainly in the eastern side of Rochester, but are more than willing to drive a little bit to get to an area. The only state parks I saw was Hamlin Beach and Letchworth. Those are a little bit further than we would like to drive. any ideas?

Does RLT help with scar tissue from a c-section?

I was told during my second C-section that I had a lot of internal scar tissue from my first C-section. Now I’m having an issue healing my Diastasis recti because of the scar tissue. So I’m wondering if red light therapy will help reduce scar tissue to help me heal my diastasis recti.

Does it do anything about internal scar tissue?

Does it do anything about fat cells in the area?

I had so much scar tissue that they told me they do not recommend I have any more kids because they feel that this scar tissue is going to attach to major organs. Doesn’t bother me because we only planned on having two kids. But I would like to reduce the scar tissue or keep it from growing onto major organs.

Is there a known problem with the 2024 Sienna suspension?

Our Sienna LE is going in Tuesday to see what is causing a loud knock when the car goes over a bump. It is 2024 with 23,000 miles.

I am just wondering if there has been a problem that is common or is it damage to car. We don’t remember hitting anything but the knock is sudden. We have to do something with the car at the end of lease soon so if there is a common issue then maybe we will turn it in rather than buying it.

Anybody use anything like this in garden beds that are over 200ft from their house?

I have garden beds that are over 200 ft from my house. I am looking for better options for watering instead of using multiple hoses. I was thinking of a rain barrel setup with a solar irrigation to my beds.

There is no power source or water source where the beds are. But with the way our property is located and trees, putting the boxes so far from the house was our best option.

We are a single income, family and have been for the past four years. Prior to that my husband and I made a decent amount of money and had no kids along with relatively low cost of living, especially for New York State. We live off of his income, which should be more than enough, but what we keep getting caught up on is everything we don’t necessarily budget for. Not emergencies but just all the extra little things. Basically over consumption. Which is fairly modern now. It shouldn’t be but it is. My question is how do I break that cycle?

My friend had told me to start doing my groceries via Walmart pick up order. But I love Aldi’s but when I go to Aldi’s, I always buy extra stuff via their Aldi finds aisle. We also shop online and go to thrift stores. The kids have their own spending for toys and clothes. But we have started to notice that they are falling into the over consumption as well. We also are Amazon/temu shoppers

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Do you only do pick up order shopping? Do you have the Amazon app on your phone or not? How do you handle toys for young kids ages two and four?
