I was one of the first S50 owners in the UK, and it absolutely blew me away when it launched. It really did feel revolutionary then. I’m now saying farewell as I switch to the S30 Pro and Draco, so this is my last image with the S50. It has served me very well. 🫡

I genuinely love everything about these cameras; the lenses are incredibly sharp, especially for half-frame. Maybe an unpopular opinion? But I also appreciate the grain from half-frame. Shooting HP5 400 @800 on half-frame, the grain looks just perfect to me. I also really like the double stroke on the original Pen F model and the build quality; the camera just feels very well made and it just makes me want to go out, explore, and take more photos.

Funnily enough, while going through old photos, I realised that tomorrow also marks almost exactly 10 years since the first time I sat in a MINI at a dealership. I’ve wanted one ever since… and tomorrow is finally the day I pick one up!
