They're assembling the full-scale Jet1 demonstrator at Scaled Composites in Mojave... powered by PW2040s pulled from 757s for now. First flight late 2027, then the real Z4 aiming for 200-250 passengers, up to 50% better fuel efficiency, fitting right into the spot the 757 and smaller 767s used to own. Production kicking off in Greensboro, NC soon.

Immigration police arrested 28 year old Gurwinder in Nonthaburi on July 2 for overstaying his visa by 1,201 days. A 34 year old Thai woman reported the man to police, alleging he misled her into a relationship and financial dependence for three years.

The woman met the man via a dating application, where he claimed to be from a wealthy, high-caste family. After relocating to her Nonthaburi condominium, the man remained unemployed and relied entirely on her for living expenses throughout their time together.

Police discovered his visa had expired on March 19, 2023, during a welfare check at the residence. The man remains in police custody at Bang Kruai Police Station pending legal proceedings and subsequent deportation from Thailand.

Chingrighata flyover to shut over 2 weekends as Orange Line work speeds up

The long-delayed Orange Line of the Kolkata Metro has entered a crucial construction phase, with Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) beginning girder installation over the Chingrighata intersection. To facilitate the work, the Chingrighata flyover will remain closed in two phases—from 8pm on Friday to 8am on Monday over two consecutive weekends—allowing engineers to complete key structural work for the metro corridor.

The installation will connect the elevated viaduct to the upcoming Gaur Kishore Ghosh Metro Station, bringing the Kabi Subhash–Kolkata Airport corridor closer to completion. Traffic will be diverted through alternate routes during the closures, while officials aim to open the Kabi Subhash–New Town stretch for commercial operations by December.
