PLEASE STOP FUCKING CALLING US

Why do they keep constantly calling us? I don't get it. You pick up and cancel or reject the call and they just keep calling you. Why? It's not even important things they call for. Call me once, okay, call me twice, meh, but why keep calling us? Do they not realize how fucking annoying it is? They don't even allow us to disable it. You can't even disable the sound and changing the frequency does not work

Why do people who pirate casually and don't give a damn about property rights suddenly pretend to care about copyright when it comes to AI?

I find this so disingenuous

How do you reconcile your politics with the fact that it is capitalism that is creating and developing AI?

You guys are critical of capitalism when it is Silicon Valley, Chinese tech companies and other capitalists that have brought AI to the world. They have invested hundreds of billions of dollars, done a lot of research and development, and are bringing the technology to the masses. Motivated by profit, which you dislike. It isn't the government that has made AI.

Shouldn't this change your politics and make you appreciate capitalism more?

And no, AI isn't going to make everyone unemployed nor be the end of capitalism. I would argue capitalism will exist forever.

Americans Got Wealthier but Don’t Feel Like It

Overall living standards are higher, but homes, degrees and affordable healthcare remain out of reach for many.

"Americans grew richer in the goods that markets could freely supply, and poorer in the three purchases that define middle-class standing: a house, a degree and a doctor. Those are the sectors where U.S. policy constrained supply, subsidized demand or did both. I work in one of them."

How natural hydrogen, hiding deep in the Earth, could serve as a new energy source

* Natural hydrogen, formed through geological reactions within the Earth's crust, presents a largely untapped, carbon-neutral energy resource that costs nothing to produce, though extraction incurs costs.

• Researchers are employing methods similar to oil and gas exploration to locate natural hydrogen, focusing on three main geological formations: focused seepage, coal beds, and reservoir-trap-seal systems, with the latter being the most promising for commercial production due to their ability to concentrate large volumes.

• While the U.S. Geological Survey estimates over 5 trillion metric tons of geological hydrogen exist globally, only a small, technically and economically recoverable fraction is available, though even 2% of this total could meet projected demand for centuries.

• The Earth naturally produces between 15 million and 31 million metric tons of natural hydrogen annually, but this is less than 1% of the projected demand for 2050, indicating it will likely complement rather than replace other energy sources.

• Currently, only one natural hydrogen field in Mali commercially produces tens of tons per year, but the number of exploring companies has rapidly increased from around 10 in 2020 to approximately 40 by the end of 2023.

• Transforming geological hydrogen into a commercial energy source faces scientific and technical challenges, including the difficulty of detecting and measuring its small, reactive molecules underground and the cost of separating it from other gases if found in low concentrations.

• The economic promise of natural hydrogen lies in potentially lower extraction costs compared to traditional hydrogen generation methods, but large, high-quality accumulations must be discovered to serve commercial demand, requiring careful scientific exploration rather than a 'gold rush' approach.

Why is Bumble so restrictive with the number of things you can put on your profile?

You cant get to know someone from only five interests and a couple of questions. (yes there's a bit more but still). Men are seen as superficial on dating apps but you can't judge someone with so little information so it becomes rational to be less picky. Bumble should allow you to pick more interests / character traits and fill in more questions without needing to pay for it. yeah there are bios but describing yourself like that feels cringe

The show lacks a general direction / course of action

In ATLA, the entire purpose of the show was to see Aang and co beat the fire nation, and they made it very clear. From the first episode till the last, that was their entire purpose. Yes they were side quests and other stories but in the end it all revolved around one thing. This made the show more exciting and meaningful. You felt the suspense as they prepared beating the fire nation.

With Korra, what was that general goal? Every season was different and had other enemies but imo this made the show less meaningful and special. It was like a series of small tales. Imo they should have made Amon the equivalent of the fire Lord and the entire show revolve around beating him and his goal of taking out all benders, that would have been more exciting. I feel like he died way too soon, he was a good antagonist. Zaheer, Unalaq and Kuvira should have been lower tier antagonists or have had a different role than just another adversary. The show just lacks the depth and excitement ATLA has. I also think three longer seasons is better than four shorter seasons.

Do you guys agree?

Samsung Browser is really underrated honestly

When I bought my phone I immediately downloaded Chrome honestly because I was prejudiced but for certain reasons I started using Samsung Browser recently and it's amazing, so many features, good interface, convenient, it's literally better than Chrome honestly, and they have it on Windows as well, I think I'm going to make the switch

Samsung makes so many great products, I feel like they really face the competition and it pushes them to be great

although the pc version does seem a bit limited, like why can't you adjust zoom for all pages?

Why do so many Russians live in small apartments when Russia is the largest country in the world?

Even excluding Siberia Russia is so large and sparsely populated you wonder why you don't see more people living in single family homes like in the west. Also many Russians live in small homes. Why? Single family housing is too expensive to build? Soviet legacy? why not make more use of the abundant space?

"I don't want to have kids because of climate change/environment" is such nonsense

You not having kids is not going to save the planet. It's not going to prevent climate change. It's not going to have a substantial impact on nature. Even if it did, humans are more important than the environment. Also, perhaps your kids might come up with technology that reduces emissions or help humans in other ways.

Stop with the misanthropic worldview that humans are a burden on the planet, they are not. The world would not be better off with no/fewer humans.
