📝 Shelter Notes:

7/14/26: Though initially timid and sitting quietly in the corner of his kennel, Gino responded beautifully to gentle baby talk and pets. He approached with a soft expression, licked lips, wagged his tail, and showed a very sweet, gentle demeanor.

7/17/26: Walked on a forward leash with a neutral body, low swaying tail, and soft open mouth. He ignored treats but otherwise did well.

7/19/26: Gino greeted volunteers with a neutral body, soft eyes, perked ears, and a fast wagging tail. He kept his kennel clean overnight and walked on a semi-loose leash, only pulling slightly. In his kennel he barked and paced when someone approached but remained calm once outside.

7/20/26: During morning walks, Gino was pulling on the sheet covering his kennel. After it was adjusted, he briefly vocalized before settling. He walked on a tight leash because of his enthusiasm but ignored the other dogs he passed.

7/21/26: Gino became briefly vocal when volunteers walked by his kennel but settled quickly once they moved away. He walked on a tight leash due to forward pulling but paid little attention to other dogs. Once back in his kennel, he vocalized briefly again before calming down.

💙 Gino is a sensitive, affectionate boy who blossoms with kindness and reassurance. While the shelter environment causes him to vocalize and become excited in his kennel, he settles quickly once outside and has consistently shown himself to be sweet, gentle, and easy to handle. He just needs someone willing to see past the stress of the shelter and give him the chance he deserves.

Update: guardian has found an amazing adopter who officially became their new owner today.

I just can’t with these people anymore - like please, if you are a functional human being and have basic common sense and like this boy, give him a home.
