How would it have affected the rest of the Invincible comics if Mark Junior had committed suicide?

Given all the pain and suffering Mark Junior went through, it wouldn't be surprising if he had attempted to end his own life. What if, out of pure hatred and revenge, he decided to use his own death as the ultimate act of revenge to torment Anissa for what she did to his father? The worst possible way to hurt and punish Anissa for her crimes would be for her own child to take his own life. What would her reaction be?

Would she have a mental breakdown or would she not even bat an eye if Mark Junior had committed suicide? If her plans had backfired and Mark Jr. had killed himself, her goals would have been completely in vain. Did Viltrumites ever consider the possibility that one of their own would rather choose death over serving the Empire? As in many human cultures, suicide is a very cowardly and shameful act in Viltrum culture.

If his mom thought he was a disappointment, then why didn't she just abort him?

If Nolan's mother considered him a disappointment, why didn't she abort him in the first place? Was abortion considered legal or illegal on Viltrum society? For example, if the Viltrumites knew that their children would be born with sickness, disability, deformity, or if they simply didn't want kids, would they rather have chosen to terminate the pregnancy before it became a real problem? Given the technological advancement of their civilization, it shouldn't have been too difficult.

Was he supposed to be some kind of replacement for Mark and Eve's aborted child?

If Atom-Eve never had an abortion in the first place, is it likely that she would have given birth to a boy? If Mark and Eve had a son, do you think their male child would look identical or very similar to Mark Junior? Was his original purpose in the comics to be some kind of substitute for Mark and Eve's aborted baby?

Do you think the Anissa Comic Arc will be retconned in the Invincible Animated Series?

EVERYONE, PAY ATTENTION AND LISTEN!

I know the comic storyline with Anissa is unforgivable and don't think anyone wants to see that happen on TV. What if the animated series will tone it down and retcon it so Mark and Anissa will have a brief, casual affair instead? Mark's half-brother Oliver Grayson was also born out of a fling. The point is, if Anissa will commit **infidelity** instead of rape, would this make her far less evil than in the comic books?

For example, Mark's own father, Nolan, was emotionally vulnerable and in the wrong state of mind when he had an affair with Andressa, which led to the birth of Oliver. When Debbie confronted Nolan, he said that his relationship with Andressa was a mistake and Oliver's birth was an accident.

If Mark Grayson is anything like his father, could he also end up repeating similar mistake with Anissa and this reckless act leads to the birth of Mark Junior? Keep in mind that Mark Grayson is a flawed young man, who frequently makes foolish and irresponsible decisions.

During the upcoming seasons, instead of using violence, Anissa tries to (use **psychological and traditional tactics**, such as) manipulate Mark, take advantage of his vulnerable mental state and seduces him. Anissa might even use Eve's abortion as a trump card to persuade Mark to join on her side. During a moment of weakness, Mark, not thinking straight, **chooses** to give into temptation and sleeps with her. Later, instead of being assaulted and traumatised, Mark would have to deal with the consequences of unintentionally having a b\*stard child with another woman.

In the comics, Mark and Eve fought and broke up, temporarily. If they will break up in the animated series, it would be a perfect opportunity for Anissa to take advantage of the situation and have a hook up with Mark. As the series progresses, Mark tells later that sleeping with Anissa was a mistake, and he apologizes to Eve. If Mark and Anissa have a one-night stand, then Mark accepting and loving his son becomes completely natural (he would accept him just as easily as Mark accepted his half-brother), and Mark would view Mark Junior the same way how Nolan viewed Oliver initially—as an unintended consequence of a past mistake, rather than a reminder of a brutal violation. This would lead to Mark having a shared custody of Mark Jr. and have a better relationship with his son.

Would this change make Mark Junior more sympathetic character if he was born into a careless, accidental fling, just like Oliver? Remember, Oliver also resented himself and his father Nolan, because he believed his birth was an **accident**. If you think about deeper, Oliver and his nephew Marky aren't all that different. Would this create a good parallel between Mark, Mark Jr., Oliver and Nolan?
Even in the real world, children are more likely to be born through unplanned pregnancies. It would be a clean way to avoid one of the darkest moments of the comics while still giving us crazy TV drama. What do you think of this theory?

How sharp are Viltrumites finger nails compared to Wolverine's Adamantium claws?

Do Viltrumites have razor sharp fingernails? Viltrumites are often depicted using their nails to cut, slice and slash their opponents and anything in their path. How sharp are their finger nails, exactly? Is there anything in the Universe that their nails can’t cut?

In the comics, Mark and Eve fought and broke up, temporarily. If they will break up in the animated series, it would be a perfect opportunity for Anissa to take advantage of the situation and have a hook up with Mark. This would lead to Mark having a shared custody of Mark Jr. and have much better relationship with his son.

Would this change make Mark Junior more sympathetic character if he was born into a careless, accidental fling, just like Oliver? Do you think Thaedus and Emperor Argall are inspired by Jor-El and General Zod?

Jor-El, the biological father of Superman/Kal-El was one of the wisest and benevolent Kryptonians in DC Universe, while General Zod is a ruthless and bloodthirsty military general who tries to violently preserve or rebuild Krypton. Similarly, Thaedus was also one of more wise and benevolent Viltrumites in the Universe, while Emperor Argall was a ruthless and cruel tyrant who wanted to enslave the entire universe and kill all who opposed him. Is there a connection between these characters?

Viltrumites and their Kryptonian counterparts

[Image/DC Comics] Here is the list of Viltrumites and their possible character inspirations. Thragg, Anissa and Viltrumites are most likely based on General Zod, Faora and evil Kryptonians, while Thaedus has some similarities to Jor-El, the father of Superman.

Grand Regent Thragg = General Zod

Anissa = Faora Hu-Ul

Kregg = Jax-Ur

Conquest = Non/Nam-Ek

Thula = Mala

Thaedus = Jor-El

How would Billy Butcher, Becca and Ryan feel if Black Noir was revealed to be clone of Homelander like in the comics?

Homelander's original version in the comic books is not really as evil as his TV Series counterpart.
In the comic books, it was revealed Black Noir (the unhinged, far worse clone of Homelander) was disguised as Homelander and he was responsible for his worst atrocities such as assaulting Becca, cannibalism, infanticide, mass murders etc. and Black Noir framed, deceived, used and manipulated Homelander the whole time.

How would Billy and his family react if they found out the original John Gillman never committed those crimes in the first place and Black Noir did all of it just to gaslight and get an excuse to kill Homelander? Even the original John was utterly horrified and disgusted when this truth was revealed and he tried to kill Black Noir in pure rage.

Would Billy hate Black Noir more? How would Ryan feel if he found out Black Noir is his real father? Is it possible that Becky and Ryan would’ve tried to reconcile with John’s comic book counterpart and he might have been more affable towards them?

Conquest would be cooked if he met The Incredible Hulk

Conquest: You can't get stronger with anger. It doesn't work that way!

Marvel fans: No, that’s exactly how it works.

Is it possible Mark Grayson was a huge fan of Marvel comics and took some lessons from the Hulk?
