At some point we have to acknowledge this isn't roaming supp anymore...its just straight up refusing to play the lane/position (not a team blame post-discussing the roaming meta issue)

Context - Was sent this vod for review. The Thresh sits afk in bot bush and dies level one after the Karthus has backed out of the trade. After spawn Thresh goes straight top and griefs his top laner, taxing all his exp until the Kennen is down a level. Once the Kennen starts losing fights he then goes mix and starts farming mid way and stays mid for the literal full 29 minutes of the game. He NEVER goes bot. Not a SINGLE FUCKING TIME.

Anyone else feeling disappointed/scammed by the state of the clubs at UoA?

Obviously not all clubs but I've recently run into the issue of undisclosed prices a lot. During the Clubs Expo they hyped themselves up talking about all these great things they're doing, followed by a rather nauseating membership fee which makes you think its supporting all the events.

But nopes, comes round to the event time and you have to pay *another* fee to attend the actual event. None of which was disclosed at the start. One club in particular, almost every event that I want to actually go to is behind a paywall.

One time I cave in and paid the extra to attend and the event was run like utter shit. And the only real place it looks like money was spent on was a measly amount of generic Dominos pizza. And everyone was scrambling over each other just for a couple of slices. It was disgusting...

Mind you, for the same amount of money I could have bought like four or five boxes all to myself if I really just wanted pizza that bad...On top of this, having been a treasurer and a co-founder of another club myself (which never charged a membership fee, nor an event fee *cough cough), I know that Uni gives basicallyyyyy an endless amount of money to clubs for pizza if you just apply for the funding. So I don't even know what they're doing with all this pocketed money...

At the very least I feel like all this should have been stated upfront during Clubs Expo so that people realize the membership fee is utterly irrelevant.

Mixed results with apigenin?

Curious to hear other people's responses to this ingredient. I took this brand originally (https://stromsports.co.nz/products/apigenin-98-anti-aging-sleep-support-muscle-builder) and actually found my sleep got worse? Namely feeling more tense around bed time and not able to fall asleep and if I did fall asleep I'd keep waking up.

But later on, I've tried it as part of a more complex sleep formula at a smaller dose (50mg) and that hasn't caused any issue but equally can't say if it's improved the sleep quality beyond baseline.

I am curious, how many people here are "believers" but never "experiences"

For context, I've never seen nor experienced any of this. To a weird degree. I don't have dreams at all (as an adult). But earlier in my life had all manners of night terrors and weird half dreams that seemed to overlap with reality.

I've also always been open minded to the possibilities of aliens, alternative dimensions, the whole nine yards; despite being a skeptical scientist in my day to day life.

And in a weird way it's left me feeling oddly isolated. I come on here and read everyone's stories almost like I am living these things vicariously. In ways it gives me a sense of hope that my time might come some day. And it made me wonder how many others there are that have felt this way.

Anyone else gone from Hades 2 back to Hades 1?

Ngl, I'm feeling the itch/nostalgia. I've finished all of Hades 2, got to 49 fear which felt like a slog. And I feel personally it comes from a lack of connection with any of the aspects in particular and also just not finding Mel herself all that appealing compared to Zag. I think back to when I was OBSESSED with the hidden bow in Hades 1. Which inturn got me thinking of how the weapons felt like they had so much more character and diversity in Hades 1 compared to 2.

Not hating on Hades 2 by any means but I guess I am curious to see if anyone else felt the same way and found themselves going back to Hades 1 after playing Hades 2.

Three months ago I predicted Rocketbelt getting nerfed and it's happening now

At the time of my original post I noticed Chovy had been spamming it. I had pointed out how Veigar, champs without mobility, had been secretly building the Rocketbelt belt for long before Chovy picked it up. And I predicted that it's going to get nerfed once everyone starts playing it on stuff like Ahri, Aurora that already have tons of mobility.

Most people felt it wouldn't come true. But now it has.

Follow up program/peaking phase after Bromley's Kong program?

Getting towards the end of the program and thinking of running a peaking phase to test out my 1RMs. He does say that its worthwhile having another block at the end of the three blocks in Kong, rather than relying on your maxes at the end of Kong.

So if anyone else has done this, I am curious what program you would recommend? (regardless of whether it's on Boostcamp or not). I had my eye on Jeff Nippard's phase 3 powerbuilding program but open to other suggestions :)

For the gym goers; local supplement retailer and protein power brand NZ Muscle has been caught scamming-selling repackaged expired protein from other brands (video below)

Exposing New Zealand's biggest supplement brand

All credit goes to the three gents that did the investigation and the former-staff members that came forth. I'm simply helping get the message around as a former user of their proteins myself.

Fnatic Founder & CEO says they've built their League of Legends coach an AI Coach Bot

https://x.com/sammathews/status/2067212572491743479

Sam Mathews (Fnatic CEO) seems to think AI coaching is the way forward?

SM:

>Behind the scenes at googlecloud summit. Sneak peak at our new LoL AI coach.

Twitter random:

>Please tell me you’re taking the piss?
Grabbz begging for more/better support starf and you’re gonna rock up with grok and hope for the best?

SM:

>We’ve also built him a coach bot which is constantly being refined

Considering he is in the process of selling FNC, do you think this is just a play to pump their numbers for buyers? AI is the bright and shiny toy that seems to make a companys worth jump up, even though it loses the company money.

Did they really have to give us all the Mighty Morsels in one go? -_-

This feels like one of the most egregious and obvious acts of disrespect for me. There's other things that I am sure we can debate with people on either side of the fence, but this one just feels indefensible for me.

They could have easily removed the timer on this or just extended the timer. There's no valid use for this many might morsels in one go. The timing with it coming out right before CWL is also a slap in the face because it means you can only use it for one attack or not at all.

ATLEAST let us sell it for gems but nope, we don't get that either.

He's got dash resets ...

Okay, I feel this is going to be the controversial one. How are we feeling about this?

I like the kit as a whole but I feel this is going to be the thing that tips him over from strong to being frustrating to play against.

He's got a bunch of unique, rule bending aspects on his W and R already so I feel like the resets are unnecessary and ultimately just going to get the more unique aspects of his kit nerfed.

PhD student needing advice on handling potential collaboration

Firstly, I apologize if any of this sounds awkward or pretentious, social skills are not my forte as this post is about to expose but I really need some advice on how to handle this.

Context is I have conducted some novel research on a species that has never been done before. I.e, the methods itself have never been done, much less any documentation of the subsequent biological outcomes. For that matter, even globally, this genera as a whole is heavily understudied. So as far as my target species and region go; there is ZERO existing evidence. This procedure I am referring to has also suggested to show highly species-specific responses.

Issue is, I am still 90% through the manuscript and haven't published yet.

Now, I have a collaborator (Mr.C ). Now, Mr.C is a nice guy. Any time I've given him specimens or advise he's showered me in praise and always noted me down as a co-author in his publications. Never had to ask him to do it, never had to write a word. He'd always put me down as a co-author since I gave him intel and live material.

Mr.C has made friends with Ms.T who is new to the field and plans on running an experiment. However, her methodology is lacking, making it impossible for her to conduct said experiment (we're all PhD students). Mr.C has yapped a bit too much and told Ms.T that I am the gold mine of wisdom 😂So Ms.T has asked me for a chat to discuss what methods worked for me.

The issue is, while she hasn't said it explicitly, I already know that the piece of the puzzle she's missing for her experiment is the methods that I discovered by I haven't published yet. So while I would love to spill the tea, I'm nervous that this will be a 0-100 exchange and won't really amount to a co-authorship in the way it has between me and Mr.C. And beyond a co-authorship there isn't really anything I gain from having this conversation. But given how new I am to the field, I feel getting a good reputation for a future collaboration would be good. But also feels awkward to be saying all this info that took me years to find and I haven't published yet and I'd love to be able to claim that what I did was the first of its kind.

So how do I proceed here?

Korean skincare shop recommendations?

Going to be in Shanghai for a bit and was wondering where the best places are to get Korean skincare? I heard of Harmay but also wondering what other good options are there.

Tourist question about VPN and physical SIM

I'm travelling to Shanghai and my phone doesn't support the eSIM option which usually you can get the VPN with. So it looks like I have to get them separately?

Is there any advice for where to get a physical SIM after landing in Shanghai or any particular type?

And I am hearing conflicting stories about which VPN to go with. I would like to have it for my phone and laptop. So I was looking at Nord but many Redditors say it doesn't work in China. Is this true? What should I use instead?

Are apothecaries a thing here? (Asking as a tourist)

Here in New Zealand we have apothecaries which sell herbs and teas. Over here it's not really considered a medical practice as such but you can get nice tea blends for helping to sleep and such. Things like candles and such are also sold here and it's usually quite a zen, relaxing place.

I am wondering if similar places exist in Shanghai and if you can recommend any?

To clarify, I am not talking about an actual TCM practicing clinic. Which is where my confusion comes from.
