I don't know if it's a known fact

I'm fairly certain that taking a portal in a parallel world on the first frame it appears will not TP you back to the main world. But instead will TP you to the proper parallel world holy mountain.

I'm pretty sure it happened to me at least once. I knew nothing of the game back then.

The same way you can kill Unohdettu on the first frame he appears, I think parallel portals has the same kind of behavior...

Am I completely crazy ? Has anyone got it too ?

I didn't even know the Season 2 released this year !

So... without spoilers, may I ask the overall opinion on this season 2 ?

The main problem I had with season 1 was bland acting from Katara (who is the literal pivot of 70% of the story if you ask me ...) , and the reuse of settings across different scenes that felt really off.

I remember liking Zuko and Sokka and a bit of Iroh. But I really thought the lake of anger and explosion from Katara killed her character to the core.

Also the lack of water bending training ...

Did they fixed all that ? Or did they double down on all their mistakes ?

(Note : I really don't mind straying away from the core material, but then you have to do SOMETHING with the characters. You can't bring a character to existence and failling to deliver on anything about it)

Rejoining system is unusable ?

I was 9 minutes in, crashed, tried to rejoin again and it took about 4 or 5 minutes. And when finally in game, I was stuck and couldn't move. After 2 more minutes of literally nothing, I decided to alt F4 and rejoin again. This time it took about 10 minutes. And then I got the same result but this time I had a black screen with inventory bugged and open.

Did you recently managed to rejoin a game in a timely manner ?

Perfect Parry timing is really inconsistent right ?

I'm out of the cave of Black Hand Riku (Stupid fight too, undodgeable kick and the spinning attack hitting you from miles away) and the games tries to teach you perfect parry timing with the armor.

Sometimes I hit 12 perfect parry in a row, sometimes no matter what I do, I get hit 12 times in a row. It doesn't feel like "Right before getting hit" is actually what's happening there. Sometimes I feel like I'm frame perfect and I get a normal parry, sometimes I'm a good second before the attack connect and it triggers.

Is there somewhere a guide that reliably explain timing windows because I'm going crazy with it, I would rather not smoke bomb my way out of it but it's getting absolutely ridiculous

Edit : Sorry, by incosistent, I meant "accross different attacks". The plunge attack from the 2 hand swords is a good 0.4s or something like that. While the spear is more about 0.08s even with the armor.

Even after so much time, the menu UI is still horrendous

I've reinstalled the game and I can't believe it's still as bad as before. They probably fixed tons of things and the people who played for the last months saw the improvements. Bug god damn, trash all this already, it's a real shame.

Thunder in Bordeaux, France yesterday night

Captured 3 good ones from my position. The last one gave me a strong vibe of "get the fuck outta here, right now"

A bit later, when I thought it was over, a very last one went so strong that it startled me at my desk, with noise cancelling headphones ! Felt like the wall behind me exploded. I went back outside and checked if the trees didn't catch fire ...

That hole at the beginning of the game

So obviously there's nothing in there right now but there's probably going to be something at some ponint.

But whenever this something is added, I really hope that they rework the very first cinematic and add a big monster visual in the dark when going down with the ship. Right before going back up with the thrusters and escaping it. Simply to tease the moment you have to get back in there and confront whatever is down there

Doormaker from Slay the Spire 2 back for revenge inside Deadlock

Original idea from DeadlockVents ! With this post The ultimate rift cross-over Doorman meets Doormaker : r/DeadlockTheGame

Full video : Doormaker from Slay the Spire 2 inside Deadlock

Mod : Doormaker from Slay the Spire 2 as rift maker Mod for Deadlock | DL Mods

It's honestly not great in terms of quality. The whole 2D effect doesn't render as good as I hoped it would. But it's my very first time making particles with the editor and it was quite hard to figure out in a day 😄

A lot of improvement is definitely doable, and I take any advice from pro particles modders or simply ideas to make it better (color coding and sound effect and all that... I got some ideas, but yours are welcome too)

Why is Hunter's Aura always in Calico's builds ?

I understand the 1v1 perk it gives... But between Torment or saving up for Artic Blast or Hunter's Aura, I immediately skip Hunter's Aura.

If I get it as Calico, I don't feel really more powerful.

If the enemy Calico gets it and jump me, I don't feel much weaker.

Why is this item always in all Calico's build ?

Could you name other games where you're thrown into a universe without big introduction and tutorial ?

I yearning for a game with some kind of freedom that doens't hold you by the hand or deliver a big explicit intro. And then throw you into the game like "Hey, here's the few keys that you need, have fun !"

But a game with a general untold final objective nonetheless, not a straight up sandbox game.

So a game like Noita then.

Do you have something similar to offer ? Terraria and Minecraft are unironically probably the closest examples I have in mind.

Edit : Thank you so much for all the games !

Here's the full list I picked up, if someone comes around and wonder about the same thing as me :

Caves of Qud

Casualties: Unknown

The Witness

Tunic

Fez

Orb of Creation

Mewgenics

Dwarf Fortress

Rim World

Cogmind

7 Days to Die

Dark souls 1

Cataclysm DDA

DV Rings of Saturn

Teleglitch Die More Edition

PS : There are a few others but I already tried and played so there are not included in the list. Like Kenshin or Rain World or Outer Wilds..

Is it worth it to go full evil in a WOTR playthrough ?

I'm reaching the end of my chaotic trickster playthrough and I kinda enjoyed it.

And seeing last day post about "best evil mythic path" I wonder how the game looks like when playing with different companions and alignement.

If I go full medieval hitler, is there a path for my hero and appropriate story line choices ? Or does the story evolves in the same manner and you can't really do that and you're restricted by obvious "neutral" choices ?

I'm hesitating between PoE2 Evil playthrough (if any is possible) and WoTR Evil playthrough.

I'm very afraid that when I meet Amber I'll have to kill her or ignore her and that will break my heart but hey, gotta be mean man
