I am trying to help a woman who left a domestic situation, she has two kids and they are currently in a hotel. PHC told us today that they cannot help cover the cost (they helped during the heat wave), and all of the DV shelters I’ve called said they cannot help house her because they don’t have room or because she has kids. She starts a job this week, and I think she’ll qualify for some apartments once she has income.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an apartment that will rent to her without having some paystubs? Or any other resources? I paid for her hotel for tonight, but after this they’re going to be on street.

I am helping a mom and two kids flee from domestic violence. She slept in a tent for a few days but her ex found them and beat the hell out of her. I’ve put her in a hotel for the last four nights but I’m out of money. She’s in touch with some local resources but shelters are full and they don’t know when they can get her into something more permanent.

She got a job but doesn’t start until the end of next week, so she won’t have income for awhile. She’s very motivated to work, and provide for her kids, but if she can’t stay in this hotel I’m scared she’ll return to this man.

Each night at the hotel is $94. She also needs a phone but I feel like I’m asking for too much already 😭 they have groceries until next week, but whatever anyone can send me it will all go to them.

PLEASE SHARE- Yesterday (6/27) while out serving the unhoused community food and supplies, we came across a woman and two children fleeing a domestic violence situation. We were able to get them into a secure place to stay but we need some support getting them clothing. They have only what’s on their backs. They’re in need of everything from shoes, underwear and clothing.

This Saturday, June 27th is our monthly meal for the unhoused. We will meet at 10am, prepare and package meals and form teams to go to different areas to pass meals out in the community. We’re usually finished around 3-4pm. Even if you’re unable to stay the entire time, part time assistance is appreciated too!
