It’s not a matter of carnivores eating to excess, or being from the POV of the prey and thus would be understandable, characters scorn the mere idea of carnivory and try to stop animals being themselves.

T. Rex Back to the Cretaceous - At one point an ornithomimus tries to eat a T. rex’s eggs and takes one on the run fleeing the parent. The protag acts as if its an evil thief.

There’d some philosopher who wanted let all predatory animals due because they’re cruel and cause suffering. Tetrapod Zoology wrote about them and criticised them in the post “predatory animals are bad and should be allowed to go extinct”. Paw Patrol - In the ep “Pups Save the Dino Chicken”, a Spinosaurus hunts some parasaurolophus… and apparently its wrong of her to do so because Rex demands she stop it. Why? …. They never indicate why. I mean, its not like its because they can't show gore in a preschool show let alone death... okay maybe that's why, but still.

Basically in the early years of their African Forest exhibit, the exhibit had a fictional storyline of some explorer/hunter who crashed in central Africa and after going from a hunter to a nature lover, began looking for the Koolakamba, that alleged chimp/gorilla hybrid known from specimens and a captive live one.

They put these hidden mickey style easter eggs og its face everywhere in the exhibit.

Though it isn't the cryptid kind of Sasquatch, its the OG indeginous spirit kind of sasquatch

A strict authority figure never bother to tell the people they;'re hard on why, even though its perfectly understandable why, dismissing them with "its for your own good" or "You can't be trusted with this knowledge." So when shit hits the fan, they don't believe them and are unprepared then if they were just honest from the start, and you're just thinking "What a good leader/sarcasm".
