So about that ontegeny theory....

He briefly married a 19 year old undergraduate student.

And of course, got funds from Epstein.

Whoever thinks Papo Rex is shit has never seen this guy

This V rex looking ass created by Herschel Hoffmeyer may honestly be the worst t rex of the 21st entury. I don't know who made it but they definitely influenced AI models.

Reposted here because the r/Dinosaurs mods thought my OP wasn't meanibfully contributing... a week after I posted it.

Rare, Bittersweet Trope: Dreaming Kid performs their dream, disapproving/neglectful parent… still isn’t won over.

We all know the plot: Kid has dreams of being a star, parents don’t approve of it or never have time for them, and at the end, they give a big performance that makes them look on in awe and wins them over.

Well this is not that.

They keep scowling, get up and leave, furious they got proven wrong. Worst case scenario, the parent disowns them entirely. More light/optimistic cases will have the kid realises they don’t need their parents’ approval for this.

1-3: Camp Rock - Tess performs a song directed at her mother asking if they can shine together. Too bad she isn't intresed, taking a call instead. Tess is heartbroken by it.

4: Derby Girl - Unlike in the film adaptation Whip It, Brooke Cavander never warms up and reconciles with her daughter over the latter choosing roller derby.

Hated trope: Works that demonise zoos.

Works that act like zoos are prisons for animals that are nothing but cruel to them and deny them freedom just for human entertainment. Outside of cetaceans, I disagree with this trope HARD: zoos are an important safeguard against extinction and actually do their best to keep them comfortable and happy, especially in recent years. And if animals are miserable, its because of unruly zoogoers.

  • Zebra in the Kitchen

Maybe i'm just biased as a zoo lover...

Anyone remember this recurring segment?

This yellow pill-shaped kid (like the Minions meets happy face) is in a music store and makes different instruments play until his parents make him leave.

Anyone have link?

Thoughts on this guy?

If you don't know, his name is Ben Bartlett. He passed away a few months ago, in April. Just want to see who will recognize his work.

Horrible, just horrible, and not just for the palestinians

I'm staunchly palestinian and detest how the israelis are treating them, but I fear for the crocs too. Considering how Israel has treated other animals, I just know the crocs are going to be kept in blazing hot and tiny water conditions and be starved and tortured so they be more likely will attack palestinians, treated as tools for monstroys acts instead of living animals.

"Man, I wish Gigantopithecus got a dedicated palaeodoc!" Monkey's Paw

Context: couple days ago, a new palaeodoc was announced for Canada's CBC, The Real King Kong.

https://www.televisual.com/news/one-tribe-captures-the-real-king-kong-for-cbc/

https://playbackonline.ca/2026/06/18/cbc-orders-prehistoric-doc-from-one-tribe-tv-hemmings-films/

https://www.c21media.net/news/one-tribe-hemmings-films-unleash-the-real-king-kong-on-canadas-cbc/

I sgould be excited, as this is the first doc exclusively about Gigantopithecus (as opposed to appearing in a segment)... but the image it uses? AI generated slop.

I swear to god if the acual doc uses clankerslop, i'm gonna boycott it.
