I found out through the youtube video that showed Lain airing during 9/11
11th grade takes up a lot of time, especially since my place is techinically 20-30 minutes away from college(some states, or people refer to 11th and 12th as pre university college). So no shitpost, update on art, or anything. Ofcourse its also cuz i have a game to develop, an art to draw, a fanfic to write, and im planning to write a political drama, a screenplay of it, about on how people misunderstand libertarianism, or dont understand it at all.
I also wanted to make an amv with underworld(trainspotting really made me obsessed with underworld), with two songs. Dark and Long, and Dark and Long(Dark train mix).
I also wanted to do that of songs like 21st century(Digital boy) and Born Slippy(Nuxx), along with some others.
Really I have LOT of ambitions in creative field i wanna do.
But really, I can't. Not quickly atleast. I havent even started it
my schedule is not great. I couldnt even finish the amount of films i wanted to watch.
But forget all that, I watched layer 8.
It was great...
Man I did not expect to see Alice Masturbating(i am not saying gooning, because I dont avoid topics like that) in this episode, i thought it was the other one. As a teen, it resonated with my earlier forms of addiction to.. well, stuff(when I was 14 and had just joined the fandom). Ive gotten out of it.. and im better and healthy now.
Well what she did was wrong, even she knew(which ive always wanted to put as a part of a chapter, in the dark comedy fanfic i told you about, "The melancholic final days of lain").
But like I said, great episode.
Since shes been using the wired, upgrading her navi, and sort of an elite user, she deleted certain memories like that to save Alice....
Which has some correlation with her "alt self"(which is not DID), but i forgot how??
One time i read something along the lines of that, she basically deleted her real self, by deleting those memories....
Which is weird cuz, what appeared in her room, was an imitation...
Also how was Alice "okay" with barging? I mean, in the sense that, She focused on Lain spying on her masturbating first, rather than asking "The fuck did you do to get inside my room? Ive locked all doors!"
She wasnt okay, obviously, but thats not the issue she first pandered to. Or atleast, not asked explicitly. She mostly focused on her sitting on the bed there for the long time, not about her being in her room.
Does this imply that Lain visited Alice's house, and that its basically her DID that acted this way, and not some person imitating her on the internet?
I think not, because the conversation between Eiri and Lain reveals she isnt aware, but i dont know, im asking.
The episode is good, sort of slow and chilly, but also not that slow. Fast enough to show the travesty occurring.

Yesterday(30th march) i got my results from the ICSE board. 77.8%. Puts me in first class distinction, which is really good. Ik marks dont determine intelligence completly, like yes it has mentioned, and im not saying it doesnt. Pretty fucking good.
Delves deeper into the men in black thing. Makes her question reality, and maybe her own realness(ofcourse i dont buy those theories. They are a real family... they just left because theyre that careless, or in the case of Yasuo, because they had to, Lain needed her own space to fight off. It wss better if she was off alone. And reality is real... just the touch and feel... literally whatll happen in layer 12).
Its nice... I liked the episode cuz of the vibe. Shows how the internet and knights are just manipulating her.
I think the screen where the NAVI is delivered is basically showing how influential internet is... ik surface level shit. Like "fork found in kitchen" but still....
Its really good. Mostly just that... and some insane guy.
What was the point of the insane guy? And the reddit moderator? Just for showing how internet addiction is dangerous(well... im trying to cut down on screentime. Technically have, I just spend a lot of time writing fanfics, programming and whatnot), or did they also have a plot importance?

I bought Lolita today at a mall(yes im anti consumerist, not hardcore, no that doesnt mean i cant buy at a mall, im just not going to buy too much, thats the point of anti consumerism, for environment and also cuz materialism sucks). I just wanted to read the book, cuz ive heard its a good satire, and dark comedy. Four chapters in and holy fucking shit is it wayy too detailed. I mean Im an ao3 user so ive seen lot of detail in stuff.. sometimes shocking.. which wouldnt surprise me.. its just what the novel went into detail with. I like AO3, though, good anti censorship, website.
Layer 6 being today was coiencidental.. both are focused on kids... and both have graphic stuff, but the novel is about.. well, yeah, you know. pedophillia, a satire on that. This is just about the kensington experiment. and the other is basically just someone impersonating her, or rather, inviting her, or messing with her, maybe, thats how i see it. Both integral to the plot
Before i go off rails and show other moments of pop culture or media like Dhurandhar or whatever, let me talk about layer 6.
Back when i didnt watch the series I had not known what the KIDS experiment did since the wiki explained it in a confusing way. Now I do, its pretty much to enhance their psychic abilities. Everything went wrong and the self centered but also regretting profressor hodgeson, who reminds me of a doctor/dentist who killed 200 patients(he looks like that, name is Harold Shipman).
And so the Knights discovered his experiment thrown in the trash.
Lain's friends are sort of concerned that she's dissasociating from them... and also Reika's called old, which she doesnt fucking care(finally a reactionary like me. Im not exactly reactionary, but well, if you like new things, thats fine, i just like certain old stuff better. Im talking about games and stuff, not politics, but maybe that too).
They go out an hang out and then they also buy clothes(which arises the anti consumerism in me, /j), and then...
Lain sees herself naked in the sky... with her friends.
That's basically the episode. One thing I do want to ask is who and why did they impersonate Lain as god?

I liked the episode, it was more explorative on its topics, and gives us a deeper introduction to the knights.. the disastorous organisation thatll eventually torture lain.
It basically shows her talking to the knights aswell... showing her dissociation from her friends... much something ive done and sort of got out... im more focused into productive hobbies but i give some time to talk. I do, genuinely.
basically... Alice is concerned.
Really... the episodes is very explorative like i said. It just felt good too.

It was a good episode. I loved it. I want to see more.
I was not able to watch it for a day or 2 because i was sick. Very, very sick. Like I vomitted 3 times in a day, and had severe chest tightening(there may be other factors aswell but, man, it's because of watching a fucking jackass stunt that made me vomit. First time thats ever happend to me.. watching something and gagging wayy too much. If you ask, it was dave england's omlette stunt. Do NOT watch it. its not for the weak, i fucking beg of you. and they say the show is tamer than the movies).
Anyways, how i felt about Layer 5 is basically this....
filler... but enjoyable.
it was a bit slow... hence why it felt "filler". and most of the stuff happening is either Lain trying to learn more about human concioussness and the wired... or basically Mika going through more torture than a regular guy watching freddy got fingered.(the entire movie is basically tom green... just being tom green).
but it was smooth.. and mind you, im talking about the dub, so maybe the sub is even better.
It had necessary information....

does the accident and the ministry of information stuff basically show the wired and reality overlapping?(yes signals can overlap but the car, or more specific, the ECU of a car, cant be disrupted by a fucking information signal).

Was Lain coming onto the big screen at shibuya basically someone in the wired imitating her? Because it is basically a symbolism of how people fake their identities on the internet, or how its possible someone can like, impersonate you.

someone from the wired luring her in(which is basically Eiri, i know cuz of prior knowledge) just sort of supports my take on layer 3... where lain gets a psyche chip out of nowhere, and not a love letter...
which is, someone intentionally left it there.. maybe someone from the wired, or more specifically, the knights, to "fulfill the prophecy".
anyways, besides the unrelated references to two gross out dark comedies(which i apologize for. yes jackass is technically a dark comedy, what do you think laughing at extreme pain is, regular slapstick?), i have nothing much to say other than I enjoyed it.
basically, what i feel about layer 5 is what the azumangah daioh fandom feels about episode 19, filler but nice, and necessary.
technically nothing is filler in this series, its more or less, slow in this episode, slower than the average slow vibe, but the vibe it gives off is what a filler episode would give off, especially since a part of it starts of with mika waking up from basically implied sex with her boyfriend. Nevertheless, its good. goated
Also on the drawing, its pretty clear which movie covers im basing it off of, since the "i see dead people" is a very dead giveaway but still sort of unrecognizable.
For the ones who recognized which movie covers im basing it off of, do you think I should draw eiri or taro in place of Cindy? I think itd fit if it was taro but I need opinions. Still dont think ill change but ill see.
